^Exactly, ako naman kasi gusto ko ng Yoga pero hangga't maaari sa bahay ko na lang gawin. Ayokong gumastos ng malaki for Yoga kasi for the improvement of flexibility lang naman ang treatment ko sa kanya. Then hindi naman accessible yung place to me.

^ yeah...and besides hindi ko din sure na magagamit ko siya ng bongga...yoga lang naman its a matter of practice, na all you need is mat and a routine. madami naman mabibili ng dvd, easy to follow din naman...once you mastered it, you can practice on your own na...

-What kind of Yoga that you usually attend?
Gentle Flow and Yoga Fundamentals. But I'm planning to start attending
   Bhakti Urban and Vinyasa.

-How much do you like attending Yoga?
Love it! I started when I was in college 1st year, kaso parang once a month lang ata. And then last December yun talaga plan ko gawin regular habit.

-What made you decide to join?
I need to do something, and I made a list of things I want try and do. Target ko yun pwede mag-isa, parang no need maghanap ng kasama. I tried gym for 2 years, kaso useless siya for me kasi I can't do that at home, I don't have the equipments. At least yoga, once I master it, I can do it at home.

-How does it affect to your flexibility?
Masnagimprove. But then, yoga is not just about flexibility. If flexibility lang habol ko, sana nagstretching na lang ako.

-How many Yoga mats that you have? What are the colors?  ;D
I have 2. Yun isa mali bili ko kasi ang ikli, so hindi ko nagamit. Sayang pera ko, huhuhu... yun isa violet, longer siya. Pero I plan to buy a longer one, the same one Bliss yoga is using. I have additional 2 yogitoes, yellow and pink

-Why did you choose that color?
  yun lang meron e.

-What are the advantage and disadvantage for you in attending Yoga class?
advantage, masnacontrol temper ko. and I learned to control my breathing and apply breathing during every yoga pose.
disadvantage - I can't sleep late na haha I'm attending 6:30am classes kasi, so I have to sleep early na. Higher expenses, namamahalan kasi ako.

-Where do you attend Yoga class?
  - Bliss Yoga. Nearest sa office ko, around 5-10 walk away. I tried sa Gold's Gym before, way back 2002-2004, ang lamig! Yun studio kasi may aircon. I tried Bikram, ok naman. Kaso that time P900 per session, and hirap magcommute, ayaw ko naman magdrive kasi hassle. I tried sa Fitness MOA, too many people and ang ingay ng air-conditioning or yun heater machine ata.

something I want to share from what I learned sa yoga. It's not just about flexibility. Dati kasi gusto ko maging flexible kaya nagyoga ako. Then I learned yoga is application of breathing din, and applying what you learn outside the yoga studio din.

In my opinion lang, I don't advice yoga dvds for beginners. If you want to learn the basics talaga, better attend yoga studio wherein the yoga instructor can teach you talaga and correct your poses. Kasi kapag dvd lang, minsan we think what we're doing is the correct pose na. and advice ko talaga huwag sa gym! They just speak and remind you what to do etc pero they don't go around the class to correct your poses.

I want to try bikram again, kaso layo sa office. And namamahalan ako. Yun sa Bliss Yoga kasi, feel ko more on Vinyasa flow yun yoga nila, medyo nahihirapan ako, pero at least may flexibility. Kaso yun bikram, baka mabored ako kasi fixed structure yun mga yoga poses routine nila.

I want to try Iyengar. Anyone knows where this is offered?

i've tried bikram yoga in Eastwood last year but I stopped beacuse it's too far from our house. last week, I attended a class at Ananda Marga (UP Village) but I didn't like it. I'll enroll at bikram in t.morato instead

So how was the experience in bikram tomas? i am also planning to attend their classes.  I went to yogamanila before kaya lang wala na [textspeak!] corinthian classes nila kaya malayo na sakin [textspeak!] studios nila. :)  how's the heated rooms? carry?

^ iyengar is at the LKG tower along ayala.

my friends and I have been wanting to try yoga out for the longest time pero ang hirap i-schedule. very limited yun schedule na pwede kami lahat. plus with all the different types, we're really at ends on which to try. pero palagi sinasabi sa amin, yun gentle flow daw muna.

Yup gentle flow as a start okay. Or Yoga Fundamentals, I'm not sure if Iyengar is the official name for this. Kasi the class I'm attending, the instructor studied Iyengar Yoga, so I was thinking baka ito yun. Okay din for beginners, the instructor teaches you the proper alignment of the poses. For me helpful siya. What i learned from the class, I apply sa mga gentle flow and vinyasa classes that I attend

Pulse Yoga
there can be 10 to 15 people in one class, it depends (PEAK )(OFF PEAK)
beginners class? no..actually i've never been to a beginners class ever since I stared doing yoga. Remember if you want to improve your health just focus on yourself dont mind the other people beside you. Also inform the teacher if its your first time to do yoga

I think you would have to combine it with other exercises and healthy eating habits.  Here''s a link about  yoga for weight loss: http://yoga.about.com/od/yogafa1/f/loseweight.htm

i want to join a beginner's workshop to learn how to do most of the poses properly to avoid injury - medyo prone din kasi ako to injury e. i'm just a bit wary that if i join a class of 10, of course the instructor can't focus on me the whole time and i might not be able to keep up.
