GABRIELLE -- God bless you for taking the time to share in the midst of your loss and heartbreak.

Yes, you are doing right -- making positive moves to move on.
Do not ask any longer why he had to go so early, why such a man who loved you unconditionally had to be the one to cross over so soon (oo nga, bakit hindi na lang the istambay sa kanto ano?)   Sabi nga, ang masamang damo eh matagal mamatay (like me, I am betting on it.  LOL)

GABRIELLE... the times you had will always be your fountain of strength.  What you  have to focus on now is to get over your grief (such a big thing to do, I know, I know -- My mom has been married for sooo long, and when my dad died a couple of months ago... what can I say?  She goes to visit him every afternoon.. and spends hours there.)

But focus on other aspects too, not just on your great loss.  Thank God too coz apparently, you are not anxious about financial matters.. so there, He gave you a man who would take care of you beyond life, even after death.
This man of yours, while alive, gave you valuable lessons/tips on what really matters in life -- a simple, orderly family life. A life focused on investing in relationships, not in excessive material stuff.

I am sure there will be those here who will pray for you.. that you will always feel he is around to take care of you and share your joys  God bless.

sis gabrielle naiyak naman ako sa story mo. im sorry to hear about your loss. hugs to you and your baby. napaka strong mo naman.

thanks ulit for sharing. may the Lord continue to comfort you and your family.

when he was still alive, our joys were simple, our dreams were simple and so full of love.
kaya nga din naging maganda ang takbo ng marriage namin because we have the same values, shared the same dream and had common goals and pareho kami na ang focus ay iisa lang, our marriage and our baby.

And yes,, even in his death I can still feel his love for me. The way he left me and our baby without having to worry for ourselves financially . Masakit lang na kung kailan pa wala na siya, saka pa kami nagkaroon ng financial freedom to do what we want. Pero I'll think of this as his way of loving me na rin.

I know most couples when they're just starting out, sweet pa and may kilig factor. Iba kami eh, when we started out 7 years ago, patay yung emotions namin. We really grew to love one another. Spending every day with each other made us love one another deeper.

Sabi nga niya sa letter niya months before he died... " The love I have for you now is so much more than when we first started out, and alam kong it will grow deeper in the coming years. The more I spend time with you, the more I love you and realize you are my soulmate, the other half who makes me whole. " The longer we stayed together, hindi na nagmamatter sa amin yung petty things na we used to quarrel about. Parang what used to be a big problem before napagtatawanan na lang namin. Kaya sa isip namin pareho, this will get better as the years go longer...kaya masakit talaga.

But then again, happy na rin ako to have found this kind of love. And I know, even if I have learned to move on na, dala dala ko pa rin yung love namin with me forever.

I can't help but cry while reading your post. You have my sincere condolences sis on the loss of your husband.

This is one of my greatest fears. I can't imagine living my life and raising our baby alone. I admire your strength.

May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead.  :)

sis ganun din ako nung una. looking back i realized na  when he was still alive, we would talk about death (this was months before he died) and kung sino ang mauuna sa amin. may mga times in the middle of the night he would just wake me up to tell me he loves me kasi nga iba na feeling niya.

well, sinabi ko sa sarili ko kung pwede sana sabay na kaming dalawa, at sana saka na lang pag may pamilya na yung daughter namin.

i was so dependent on my husband for everything when he was still alive. he and our baby were literally the center and the core of my existence.

when I said to him hindi ko kayang mabuhay pag wala siya, he replied " you are strong, you just don't see that strength yet pero ako nakita ko na kahit nung bago pa lang tayo." ... and i guess he was right.

kailangan mag survive sis, for my daughter and for myself...and mostly, for the memory of our love... i feel na "one" pa rin kami ni hubby, even in his death.

hey sis gabrielle andre, question...

how were you able to cope financially, kasi you said he's the one earning money?

also, my condolences to you... sabi nga ng mom ko na 2 years na ding widowed (after being married for 37 years), kahit gaano katagal kayo magkasama, kahit gaano kayo kadalas mag-usap, pag nawala sya, kulang pa din.

this is what i tell myself pag meron akong issue sa asawa ko.

god bless...

nakakaiyak...buti you're strong enough...i'll pray for you & your baby.

we did not have any savings before he died. and i was aware that he had no life insurance. pero God is still so good. When we were preparing to go home to the Philippines, I found among his papers insurance policies that came along with our credit cards. Alam ko wala siyang idea about that one.

Yes mgs sisters, we women are survivors talaga. When were facing situations na akala natin hindi natin kakayanin, magugulat nalang tayo kasi we survived.
