Till when Cherry Blossoms in Japan? where is the best place to see it? We are planning to go there this May, I'm thinking we might not be able to see it:(

^as per my boss, sakura is early this year. it already bloomed in tokyo na. but still, spring time is a good time to go. there are other flowers blooming naman.

The Fuji/Hakone tour is definitely worth it for me, kahit me kamahalan. Una, makakaakyat ka sa Fuji, up to 4th or 5th station, depends sa weather. On a clear day, maganda and view of the alps and the tip of Fuji. When we were there last end-March, medyo cloudy during nung day tour. Sandali lang namin nakita tip ni Fuji at ang alps, pero sulit kasi ang ganda talaga. Nakita namin ulit si Fuji nung pababa sa ropeway. Masarap din kasi mas malamig dun sa area na yun, me traces of snow pa sa Fuji nung nagpunta kami. Just check the weather forecast before you book the tour, better if di masyadong cloudy.

As for cherry blossoms, check japan-guide.com for the Cherry Blossoms report. Sa Tokyo, lagas na now. Full bloom na sya nung andun kami e, super-ganda. Around mid-March sya start nagbloom. we were there last two weeks of March, and when we left for Manila nung April 1, me mga nagsa-start na malagas. Usually, mid-April pa daw yun nagfu-full bloom pero yun nga, napaaga this year. Must be due to global warming.. But it turned out good for us kasi sumakto sa trip namin, hehe..

For me, Shijuku Gyoen is best daytime spot for sakura-watching. Sa gabi naman, maganda sa Ueno Park tsaka sa Chidurigafuchi kasi me illumination.

^Can i do a DIY day trip of Fuji/Hakone?  Or is it advisable to just sign-up for a package tour?  Thanks!...  If i do DIY kasi, i don't know how we can reach the 5th station.

Sulit ang pagpunta namin ng Mt. Fuji! pero di din kame nagtagal, kumain at sight seeing lang. After Mt. Fuji, don't forget to visit Fujikyu Highlands!!

Hakone is pwede DIY. Pero if gusto mo akyat to 4th/5th station, mag-tour group ka na. When we travel, normally DIY talaga kami (mapa Europe, Middle East or Asia) pero some sights, this time yung Fuji, we opted for the daytour package para less hassle, and gusto kasi namin mag-ropeway tsaka 5th station. Maganda view ng Japan alps from Fuji. Mas comfy din, maluwag legroom ng tour bus. Ok naman ang pace ng tour. Me kasamang lunch na din yung kinuha namin. Jpy13,000 per person - Fuji 4th/5th station, set lunch, boat on Lake Ashi, Komagatake (not sure na sa spelling..) ropeway.

Pag nabalik kami sa Japan in the future (next year sana, sakura season ulit), balak namin punta ng Hakone then stay dun for two nights. Pero i-DIY na namin yun.

Hi sisses!

I'm planning our Japan (Tokyo and Hiroshima) trip para sa June. We'll be in Japan from June 11 to 16. Nag backread ako (31 pages Tokyo Thread hahaha) and wala akong nabasa kung anong line ng trains ang open 24hrs.

June 12 at 9pm kasi ang plan namin mag travel from Hiroshima going to Shinjuku. Nung nag try ako sa Hyperdia, meron naman lumabas na train routes during the date and time na napili ko. I just wanted to make sure na reliable ang website na iyon. Appreciate your help po!

Hi mga sis! Hubby and I are planning to have a family vacation in tokyo during holy week next year. 8d7n sana. We are planning to stay at tokyo disneyland hotel for 4 nights then we'll avail the 4-day passport to disneyland and disney sea, fave kasi talaga ng daughter ko.  then we'll move to a city hotel for 3 nights for shopping. We'll visit sanrio puroland din. Saang area ba ok magstay for shopping? Pag nagsesearch ako sa agoda ng harajuku, shinjuku hotels lumalabas. Same lang b yung 2? Which area is the best to shop? Harajuku, shinjuku or ginza? What are the other must see places in tokyo? Thanks in advance.

^If you are a chic, preppy, fashionista, you will love Harajuku kasi nandon na halos lahat, H&M, F21..when you go to Harajuku make sure you go to Shibuya, especially dun sa mall na Shibuya 109 dahil parang Harajuku rin to minus the kikay cosplayers. Mas gusto ko magshopping here parang high end na tyangge. Magkakalapit lang halos naman yan iisang line ng train lang if I know (Yamanote ata)

Shinjuku, hmm wala naman halos don di siya famous for shopping. Ginza, mga expensive lahat don like Prada, Gucci, Versace, Hermes.

Try to go to Akihabara if mahilig ka sa Anime and seeing hardcore cosplayers. Madaming cute stuffs here din na mura.

Btw sis, malayo ang Disney sa mga shopping places na binanggit ko. Halos 45 mins ang differences pag train ka and puro interchange din so take note of that as well.

Make sure you bring warm clothes sobrang lamig by that time. ^^

Me naman, i like Ginza kasi andun yung malaking Muji, Loft, H&M and Uniqlo stores. Then next for me would be Shibuya. Another area na like ko, tho medyo malayo from the city centre, is Odaiba. Madami ako nabili sa Old Navy dun, puro on sale.

Meron naman Forever 21 in those 3 areas i mentioned.

^thank you so much for all the tips sis. Baka 3 nights lang kami sa disney hotel then we'll transfer to either shibuya or ginza or harajuku. Pag-aaralan ko nalang yung subway nila. Enough na ba ang 3 whole days sa disneyland and disney sea? My daughter loves disney kasi she enjoyed so much on our hk trip last march. We spent 2 days in disneyland kasi super happy siya. 
Sa sanrio puroland ba 1 whole day dapat? i would like to go to mt fuji and tokyo tower din sana kaso baka kulang na sa time. Saan ba ok mamili ng pasalubong? Like ko sana yung mga food like kitkat green and strawberry and other japan products. Thanks.

For the Kitkat na iba-ibang flavors, we bought na sa Narita before leaving. Kumpleto kasi dun. Usually sa mga convenience stores/supermarkets e normal flavors lang and green tea. Sa airport na kami nakabili ng sakura, strawberry, blueberry cheesecake, etc na flavors.

For pasalubong, ok mamili dun sa may Sensoji Temple sa Asakusa. Puro souvenir shops sa street leading to the temple.

^^Masarap din naman magshopping sa Shinjuku sis kas ia
meron dun GAP, H&M, F21, topman/topshop, GQ...
tapos kabubukas lang ng Bikkuro(pinagsamang BIC Camera na electronic store at UNIQLO).
mas prefer ko kasi Shinjuku kasi I think andun na lahat ng kailangan ko..
mapashopping or gimikan man..
