Okay na yung tokyo metro 1 way pass. Well ang JR kasi, mas maraming stations, and feeling ko baka madalas mong gamitin yung Yamanote line, yung main green circle sa map. Pero kasi, mas mura ang metro. Asakusa, shibuya, roppongi, ginza, shinjuku... Halos lahat sakop na. Harajuku kasi lalakarin mo lang naman yun galing omotesando, nasa metro din yun.

Kelan punta mo? May tinatawag na tobu nikko pass if you need it. Tobu kasi ang main line papuntang Nikko, lately na lang yang JR eh.

Oh and Odaiba! San ka pupunta? Pag kakain ka sa Odaiba just take note na ang mga restaurant, nasa aqua city. Dami mong choices dun. Sa ibang lugar kasi konti lang. Mahal talaga yung train papuntang odaiba. 360 yen ata one way from Shimbashi to Daiba. Malapit sa Shimbashi yung sinasabi kong yakiniku sa ginza! Walking distance naman kasi yung mga yun.

Ah, I see. I guess I'll still be using the Suica pa rin. Medyo namemorize ko na nga yung green loop sa kakatingin sa map ng Tokyo. hehe.
I will be leaving on the third week of October, 10 days in Japan. 5 in Tokyo (with Nikko), 5 in Kyoto (with Nara). I got the 7-day JR railpass since I will be traveling RT from Tokyo to Kyoto. Day 1 ng JR validity ko yung sa Nikko, so covered sya.


For Odaiba, I may have two afternoons to explore the following:

Miraikan Museum
Venus Fort Mall

Question naman po, san ba mas maganda makita ang mt. Fuji, sa hakone ba o sa gotemba outlet? Plan namin sana mag stay ng 1 night sa hakone pero hinde ko lam kung san ba mura at yun pwede namin makita yung mt. Fuji then read na yung gotemba outlet ang view nya mt fuji so not sure kung pano saka worth it ba yung byahe papuntang gotemba outlet at marami bang mabibili dito? Pashare naman po. Thanks!

^maghohotspring ba kayo? The best ang Hakone sa hotspring at maraming activities!
Pero pag view ng mt fuji ang paguusapan... Kawaguchiko in Shizuoka is my favorite! May onsen din dun.

Para sa mga may bagahe, suggest ko ang limousine bus! Hassle din ang magdaladala, although ako parating train kasi sanay nako sa maliit na luggage. Ang mahirap lang sa limousine bus hindi ganon karami!

Sis sweetie May i ask bat may takao san diyan? Hndi pa autumn, hindi worth it puntahan my gosh pakalayo sayang sa oras. i bet mahilig sa anime daughter mo, may ghibli museum. Marami akong hindi alam diyan sa sinulat mo!

But I can say na Odaiba is half day, Yokohamaa (minato mirai) another half and same category sila ng tourist spot. Bay view. So both maganda pag gabi.

Disneyland isang araw ulit... Tapos yung iba pwede namang pilitin....

Ayaw ni hubby mag onsen so talaga pix taking lang sa hakone. I checked kawaguchiko ang layo nya rin pala sa hakone or sa odawara. Sayang ang byahe sa sobrang layo limited lang kasi time namin. So I'm thinking na sa gotemba tumuloy to have a view and get near of mt fuji. Question din pala, mura ba ipad sa akihibara? I know before, yung ipod touch ko na latest gen that time nabili lang 6500 pesos while dito sa tin nasa 11k pesos sya.

sis mitch2526 salamat ng marami sa reply, oo mahilig sa anime ang girlalu ko at isa pa gustung gusto talaga niya ang boy group na arashi, gusto niya pumunta sa takao san dahil pinuntahan daw yon ng arashi  at may cable car din daw doon na sasakyan papunta sa kung saan mang lupalop yung pinuntahan ng arashi na yan  , pagbigayan ko dahil birthday gift sa kanya itong trip na ito ..pero bahala na kung mapuntahan yang takao san  dahil sabi mo nga malayo naman at baka magkaligaw ligaw pa kami , first timer kami parehas, kahit ako sis di ko alam yang mga lugar na pinagsasabi niya

Ok sige pag pupunta kayo ng takao, take Chuo line, orange line from Shinjuku. Mga 1 oras na biyahe yun.

Tapos may shop sa akihabara, Akky, marunong sila mag english. Oo mas mura talaga apple prods dito relatively. May apple store din naman sa maraming lugar like Shibuya, Ginza. Marurunong din mag english. Anyway with thw phones di ko pa nasubukan Magrent pero Lam ko marami sa narita airport ng phone rental ma pwede rin naman sun na lang isoli. Mga 4k yen a week din yun. Malapit na atang magkawifi sa mga major train stations.

Anyway maganda rin talaga sa hakone at may view talaga ng fuji dun! Good choice din dont worry!

Ang sim card kc di basta basta nabibili dito eh, gumagana naman ang roaming sa mga smartphones. Ako nagsurvive nang walang phone

Thanks sis mitch! Plan namin is a day trip to hakone pero kita namin yung view ng mt fuji sa background ng gotemba premium outlet, sobrang lapit nya. I've been reading blogs na nag hakone and gotemba premium outlet in one day and seems feasible naman as long as we go early in hakone. Excited much!

Oh sayang naman if you don't get to onsen...may private baths naman if mahiyain si hubby. 

hakone is a very very touristy place so, you'd have to make reservations early.

both hotels are very accessible.  not a lot of people there can speak english (except the guesthouse) so, best to bring a map and a picture of the hotel so the bus driver can help you.


tips:
you can pay for luggage service at the odakyu station so they can send your luggages to your hotel, securely (works both ways) then enjoy touring the entire day.  please come before noon as they have a cut off for accepting luggage.

with Mt. Fuji and Gotemba....  ^_^  really breath taking.  paakyat ka pa lang to Gotemba, you'd get a glimpse of him na.  there's also 2 sides of Hakone, and you'd be crossing the bridge, there's the really best view to take a pic with Mt. Fuji at your background.


tips:
2 bus rides going to Gotemba....one paid for with the hakone free pass, and the next one is your shuttle to the outlet.  BE SURE to be aware of the time schedules at may last stops sila and WHICH BUSES to take.   Just remember which road leading to your hotel and you'd be fine.

Our hotel was near Togendai so it wasn't difficult to get back, its usually the center of area.  Some buses also take you to Shinjuku.



p.s.  must see the open air museum.  kakaiba!  but baka magahol kayo sa oras.  sa dulo kasi yung gotemba outlet...no Mt Fuji views there though.

Tips regarding onsen, it doesnt have to be expensive! Maraming mga kayang kaya sa budget. Ang mura na decent nasa 10k yen per person a night. Yan kasi yung experience na naka yukata kayo, Japanese style meal na napaka ganda at sarap. pag mahiyain, just look if they have a private onsen. Tawag dito "kashi kiri" meaning for rent na private. So kayo lang ng kasama mo.

japanican.com is a website in English na maraming deals for foreigners. May mga mura diyan. Enjoy searching! Specialty nila ang japan so u find more choices in a better presented manner dun. Then pag mas mura rate sa agoda, dun niyo i book.

I tell you most onsens are similar! Hindi kailangan i book ang pinakamahal, lalo na mga recommended sa tripadvisor kasi kulang kulang promise. Ilang years na rin ako pabalik balik at favorite ko ang onsen!

Wow sis indigo.tulle sobrang informative ng ni share mo. Question lang regarding mt fuji and gotemba, yung bridge ba na nabanggit mo na magandang background sa pix yung mt fuji ay yung bridge sa gotemba outlet? Actually the reason why we want to see hakone eh dahil mt fuji but when I saw yung site ng gotemba outlet na nandon sobrang lapit ng mt fuji parang mas gusto namin puntahan yun. Still can't decide pa pero dapat makalapit kami sa mt fuji and sana swertehin kami na makita sya.

@lheimatte:  yup, the 'bridge' is within the gotemba outlet.  if i can remember it right, going to the food court siya.  there's also a good view of mt fuji's tip near mcdo (on your left), same sa outlet pa rin.   

may times mura sa gotemba, esp kung sale season. tiyempuhan lang siguro, i guess....but id you'd compare with us outlets, us outlet shopping pa din.    mas madaming choices pala ng coach items here than the other outlets in japan.

Thanks mga sisses for replying, big help and sobrang nakaka excite.  So I can get a closer view of mt fuji sa gotemba outlet, wish ko lang sana hinde maulap... now I'm torn if to go to hakone in the morning or derecho na ng gotemba...

 Question pala, saan namin makkita yung Fuji-Hakone-Izu-National Park?  Saw a pix of mt fuji taken don sa park na yun and wondering pano namin mararating yun?  baka naman meron nakakaalam... thanks!

Sis yung Fuji-Izu-Hakone na yan is a general term for the huge area na kasama ang mt fuji mismo, hakone, at izu peninsula. i am not sure how to share photos here, pero try kong magpakita ng picture na kuha ko galing hakone. Kunin niyo yung pass ng Hakone ganda talaga dun.

Favorite onsen? Not really the place pero may naexperience akong onsen na sa room namin may private onsen, sea view pa yung room. ang pangarap ko ngayon yung onsen na open air habang nahuhulog ang snow. Target ko yan next feb!

Although hindi ko lang sure kung advisable sa pregnant.... Wala pa kasi akong nakikita na pregnant na nagonsen...

Ganun ba sis? Ang kulet ni hubby meron kasi syang nakitang pix sa net (post ng forbes) na ang background eh mt fuji tapos tapos garden sya na puro flowers tapos me mga tao, pinahahanap sa kin kung san daw yun para puntahan daw namin. Gusto nya kasi medyo malaki yung mt fuji. Yung nasa premium gotemba outlet parang mas malake sya kesa sa hakone yun lang gusto nya meron nature na background bukod sa mt. Fuji. Goodluck talaga samin sana makita namin sya... Ako naman tamang masilayan lang basta makapag shopping hahaha.

@lheimatte:  mmmm...medyo mahirap ata to know where exactly your hubby wants but in viewing Mt Fuji, i believe Hakone and Fuji Five Lakes are the best bet to see it.

@mitch2526:  open air with snow?.......do look up for Kusatsu Onsen!  We were there last early spring and experienced the onsen with snow.  The onsen water also is one of a kind and really premium.   


Would it still be advisable to go to Nikko in early December?  wanna go to the Senjogahara Marshland  sana..
