to those going to the kansai region, highly recommended ko yung endo sushi in osaka. its like the ones you find in tsukiji market early in the morning for super fresh sashimi and sushi. also, if you are in kansai, make sure to drop by steakland kobe in kobe for their melts in your mouth kobe beef!

@sis vhanya: Kakatakam naman yan. Sashimi and Kobe Beef! Kelangan maglakad ng malayo everyday to burn everything that I will eat. I am not a fan of Tempura and other Jap foods pero I so love sashimi!  Sa buffet, I really zero-in on those.

naku the kobe beef is to-die-for!!! tumirik mata ko sa sarap! literal melts-in-your mouth talaga! walang kwenta steak dito even the one from antonio's, elberts, or bistecca. as in i have to go to japan every year just to taste heaven lols!

as for sashimi and sushi, the one we ate in endo sushi was sooooo fresh, no need for wasabi. we just used a brush to put a small amount of soy sauce and you are set! the best about endo sushi is that, for every plate of sushi, there is one otoro in it which is my fave! fatty tuna OMG!

^yes accurate yan =) kakakain ko lang jan lols! paid 12000yen for 2 for their A5 premium kobe beef =) if you go there during lunch mas mura pa yata but i go there at night kasi mas cute tignan mga chefs lols. puro pala guys crew jan. drop dead gorgeous japanese chefs. lalong lalo na yung anak ng may-ari lols!

advice lang sis, if you want to eat kobe beef, buy the A5 Kobe Beef Sirloin Steak Set for 5480yen/pax. yan super hands down melts-in-your-mouth goodness =) do not settle for the lower grades.

^Japan also uses the two flat parallel prongs just like ours. Although they use a much lower voltage, 100V, as compared to ours at 220V.

just make sure the itinerary, hotels, expenses etc is justified sa show money mo. yang 300k, budget trip yan. i forked over 200k for a 1 week travel. mahal na hotel kasi na-book ko.

Recommended ba na bumili ng pasmo/suica card? We're not using it for NEX but most likely to Haneda (mag train kami to Haneda since early yun flight namin). And mag train rin kami to go to Disneyland. Just wondering if it's worth getting...

nex is for narita airport 1 or 2 and you mentioned going to haneda which uses tokyo monorail.  i'd suggest the suica and monorail package for this instance   ...

you'd be using jr tickets to and from disneyland so for convenience sake, it's better to get suica card or best with the packaged suica and monorail ....suica card is refundable as well, for win-win situation.

^our arrival is at Narita airport but our departure flight is at Haneda. We're taking the limo bus when we arrive to drop us off at the hotel but taking the train to Haneda for our flight home. If the monorail package can only be bought from Haneda, then we won't be able to. Sayang...

^^ sis don't forget to check ticket shops to get discounted disneyland tix. meron din mga discounted train tickets pero haven't tried them. mostly I buy sa ticket shops for discounted tickets to Disneyland, USJ, aquariums or movies.
