separate fees ang router even with the regular DSL ng TPG. Iyon ang medyo pricey pero sulit naman kung long-term use ang iisipin. We have been with TPG for 3 years. Ok naman ang connection sa broadband (which we have tried) at ok din ang rates ng national at international calls nila using VOIP.

sis snow, planning na ba? I can ask a friend whose mom stayed with them for 10 months when she had her first baby.

^sis lalei, yes finally pumayag na sya.  I wanted so much to have a baby.  Pero I have to find ways to bring either his sister or my mother by that time.  Can you ask your friend what type of visitor visa and if they provided invitation letter etc?  Did they mention that her mom will be helping her?  Thanks!

^Sis snow, na-excite naman ako=) my Mom visited us here last year as a tourist and she stayed for 3 months. maybe next year 1 year naman. statutory declaration yung pinadala ko plus basic requirements such as birth cert, marriage cert and COE. yung friend naman namin with 3 kids, usual reason nila is to take care of their children and to see some tourist spots as well. ym mo lang ako if you have some questions maybe i can help=) good luck Sis, sarap ng may baby kahit nakakapagod very fulfilling naman.

^Sis, I plan to do the same when I give birth in March.  I'll probably have my mom stay for a month when I give birth, send her home then get her back to stay longer when I resume work after 6 months.  Ang sabi kasi nila, pag first time daw, mas maganda na yung 3-month visa muna ang i-apply kesa yung 1 year agad.

Sis, if you don't mind, can you give me the format for statutory declaration?  Did your mom have to submit any financial documents?  My mom doesn't have any kasi, retired na kasi, sa bahay na lang siya, even her bank account does not have a substantial amount.

^hi Sis port80*, wow i didn't know that you're soon to be mom, congrats!  My Mom submitted a bank statement and photocopies of passbook.  I think it doesn't matter how much money they've got as long as they have some funds in the bank or kung retired na from work, yung monthly pension pwede rin as proof. yung friend ko kase yung parents nya as in super liit lang ng monthly pension na nakukuha from the govt satin pero wala naman naging problem as long as they can show that they have strong ties to the phils.

There's a statutory declaration form that can be bought from the local post office but i find it easier to use msword. i hope i remember it right, here's the format:

STATUTORY DECLARATION

I, (Your name)

Of (complete address here in Australia)

Do hereby solemnly and sincerely declare as follows:

That I, (state here your status in Australia).  Certified copies of our passports, PR visa are attached for your reference.

That I am (your nature of work).  Certified copies of my payslips, bank statement, COE etc are attached for your reference.

That I wish to invite my Mother, her name, from the Phils to (state reasons why).  Certified copies of ......attached for your reference.

That I will provide full support etc (indicate here that you will provide full financial support, plane ticket, accommodation etc)

That I will make sure (indicate here that she will leave Australia before the expiration of visa etc)

My cousin's husband is currently processing his 457 visa. They have a 4 year old child, pwede po bang mag-aral dun 'yung bata? Ano pong options ng education for the child? Private, public school? Free or with fees? Kung may fees po, international student fees po ba?

^ we're in 457 visa too. In our case, free school kids ko because they are exempted base sa professional code ni husband. But that only applies in canberra.

If they will be in Sydney, considered as foreign student sia, normally tuition ranges to $4500 for the whole terms. You have the option naman to pay installment.

Ndi uso dito ang pre-school for 2 years old except siguro kung hanap ka ng toddler school na Montessori type. Sa prep pa ang formal schooling at 5-6 years old, kinder starts at 4-5 years old. I would suggest that you put your kid in childcare centres or family day care for a few days a week for socialisation and play. You may want to check out this site for a list of childcare in the area you will be moving in.

Ideally kasi maganda ang malapit lang sa house mo or sa magiging workplace mo or ng husband mo.

My son who turned 2 last Feb attends 3 days in family daycare and 2 days in childcare centre since I work fulltime. So far so good, he's learning while playing.

^Sis snow, oo naman bata ka pa kaya pa marami heheh kaso mahirap nga pala dito pag maraming kids.  I think yung Mom mo pwedeng pwede lalo't may work sya, regardless naman yung salary dun as long as may proof na babalik ng pinas. send ka lang ng offline message sa ym or pm mo ko dito sa gt pag di tayo nagkakaabot.

Congratulations! Iba talaga sistema nila dito. Kung mag-public hospital at clinic ndi pare-pareho ang mag-check sayong doctor based yan sa experience ko ha. Pero literal na libre sa mga may medicare at sobrang supportive ng mga midwife. At kahit paying patient ka sa public hospital like what happened to me kasi hindi pa ako PR that time, you can just go out of the hospital without paying anything. I-bi-bill na lang.

Hi sis! Eto ang Montessori sa Perth na merong toddler program. I have been wanting to put my son in a Montessori toddler program but the drop-off and pick-up schedules prevented me from enrolling him in a Montessori class in Geelong.

Yung baby girl mo naman pwede mo dalhin sa playgroup na meron sa community for interaction. Minimal fees lang yon mga $3-5 per session lang. Pwede mo rin sila dalhin sa story session sa local library. Madami din batang nagpupunta don.

Nag-da-drive ka ba sa Pinas? Malaking tulong kung makaka-drive ka na din agad dito especially kung ikaw ang maghahatid-sundo sa son mo.

TPG lang sya talaga ang alam ko eh. www.tpg.com.au ang website nila. Sa Pinas ang call centre. May specific router sila for their VOIP, yung NetGear router namin ndi pwede eh. Contact mo na lang sila to apply. Mabilis lang naman ipakabit.
