sis, what is a COE?

Okay na ba tong documents na nananda ko na, help mo?
-ITR
-Bank Cert and Passbook (Pero dollar account ok lang ba yon? and maliit lang...)
-1 small land title (Xerox Copy)

Do I need anything else? Wala kasi akong employer Cert. na galing sa ibang company kasi I am employed by my parents so I work for the family business and receive my income/allowance that way.  I can obtain one from my parents, but okay ba yon? Di ba parang gawa2x lang?  And wala kaming payslip...I can make and obtain one pero again galing from my parents...suggestions and advice mo mga sis.

And mga sis, think nyo anong chances ma approve ako?

Traveled to US twice.  1st time 2007 (10 Days) 2nd time 2010 (5 months)
Traveled to other countries. Singapore, Thailand, Korea, Taiwan, HK, China.  And before applying for Visa will have travelled to Singapore (flying on Feb.)

Kakabahan ako kasi for one reason, sabi nila grabeh daw ang denial if you stayed for a long time in the US.  And I did 5+ months.  Pero I travelled to different states and did not stay in one place too long.  Wala akong relatives pero have many friends there.

What do you think ang mga questions I should prepare myself to answer?

^ COE = Certificate of employment

If you work for your parents, ask pa din for a certificate.  Better siguro to include the SEC and BIR registration, business permit and other pertinent documents of your parents' company.

You said you went to the US twice na.  On a tourist visa ba?  Baka naman you can apply through the Visa Reissuance Program of the US Embassy in Manila.  Check the embassy's webpage to determine if you can qualify to apply through the VRP.  Mas madali kasi ang process ng VRP.

My mom stayed in the US for 5 months during her last trip but hindi naman siya tinanong about that.  We both applied through VRP.

^^if you're qualified for VRP, better IMO to go through this process, less questions, less waiting time, less preparation, etc.

If u did not violate any immig laws or overstayed, just explain the reason for your long stay there. I was asked about my old 10month stay (when I did VRP last Oct) but I was under a govt/diplomatic (a2) visa so ok lang. Be open & truthful. That's all that matters.

^ mga sisses what if I qualify for the VRP and same with my mom kasi sya kasama ko nung umalis ako nung 2002. 1 mo stay lang kmi ng mom ko dun wala naman naviolate or whatsoever na immigration law.

now my concern is ano ba ang mas maganda isabay ko hubby ko and baby ko na 2 yrs old sa usual na renewal process ng visa ko or mag vrp ako then sila naman new application process?

If yung New application process ko sila idaan i believe need ko sumama kasi di ba di pwede father ang magdala sa anak sa visa application or sa pagtravel abroad dapt may consent o kasama ang mom nung bata..

hehe thank you for the clarification sis and the info....i'll gather those docs that you mentioned. 

yes on a tourist visa sis.  and i did not violate any laws nor ask for a visa extension.  and yes qualified ako for VRP.  kaya lang they say i have the option to chose either to go through VRP or the normal process.  so sa tingin mo mas okay if i go through vrp sis? mas malaki chances ko?

shucks, kami 2 weeks from now.. together with my brother's whole family.. renewal kaming adults tapos 3 kids ang iaapply namin for new visas.. same dates and time ang schedule namin.. i'll be bringing my one year old son for new application.. possible kaya na isang consul nalang kaming 7? since i'll be needing assistance din dahil i have a baby? pano kaya ang milk niya? am i allowed to bring his formula milk inside? how about strollers?

@irische, if you are qualified for VRP, go for it.  You don't even need to present documents other than the ones printed on the confirmation certificate, meaning you don't need bank certificates, ITR, etc.  You just need to present all the passports covering the duration of your previous visa.


@bucketsale, I think it's better for you to renew your visa through VRP, then kapag okay na ang sa iyo, i-apply mo na lang sila under the regular application procedure at samahan mo sila.

Mga sis, if I check the interview dates available and sobrang tagal, I should NOT get it right and hope and wait na meron earlier slot na maging available? tama po ba na kapag nakasked na mahirap magresked?

^The problem is, once you've set an appointment, should you decide to resched (hoping for an earlier date), you must cancel your existing appointment before you can view the calendar. What if you do and the available slots are later than what you had? Plus, I was advised by the embassy call center when I inquired before na after 3 changes, you must pay for another applic fee.

Btw, what is the trend of non-VRP B1/B2 appointments lately? Trying to set my kids' sched, hoping for at least Feb for a March & summer trip.

^^Yup, what I did is check the online appointment site every hour for 3 days-- hoping to get an earlier slot and eventually, nagkaron naman.

7. ano ginawa sa UK? nanuod ng wimbledon
8. nag te-tennis ka? opo

@marose17: Thank you sis sa tip mo.  Sigi, try ko nalang mag VRP muna.  Kahit kinakabahan ako hehe...do I need to put a US address kung saan ako mag stay?  Kasi wala akong relatives doon just friends...so will I just choose one and put it there?  O pwede hotel?

Has anyone here heard or experience disapproval through VRP?  may na reject ba?

yiiiipeee got my Visa just today, 3 days lang delivered na agad ...10years ulit yyahhooo, until 2022 this is my 4th visa na, thank u Lord..

ngayon na lang me ulit nakapag GT hindi na ren ako nakapag backread, nung nag prepare me bago nung interview ko, nung January 4 (baka meron ako mga sissy's na nakasabay, sayang hindi ako nakapag post here) =) i just wanna share my experience na pwede den maka-help sa ating mga sissy's...

for my past visa's since i was a kid puros drop-ship for renewal, kaya i really have no idea kung pano ang process talaga sa luob kasi parents ko usually ang gumagawa lahat nung nag ka-anak na kame ni hubby, i applied for her visa nung 2009 (she was 6yrs old), tapos na tapat saken that time yung pinag uusapan here sa GT na medyo masungit raw na consul na guy, madali lang naman mga question niya, buti na lang nasa good mood siya hehe... but this time all by myself ang preparation, as in ako lang haharap....

dameng naging aberya nung Jan. 4 na flattan kame, sobrang traffic pa going to Manila, kasi coming from Cavite pa...buti na lang ang bait ni Lord he made a way na makadating kame on time saktong 7:35am kasi ang sched time ko 7:30am, hindi pwedeng ma-late ng matagal kundi hindi na papa-pasukin...the reason kung bakit hindi na nag papasok pag medyo late na, kasi pag pasok ng embassy dun sa waiting area, pag may na nagtawag na ng # na by batch at hindi ka nakasama dun...sorry na lang...

oo nga pala..bago ako makapasok sa embassy...sa sobrang pag mamadali, takbo agad ako sa entrance...saktong nakaalis na den sasakyan ni hub, bawal nga pala ang cellphone sa luob, yariii na hindi ko tuloy alam kung saan iiwan ang phone koh...kaya make sure na wala kayong dalang gadgets and electronics... meron nag alok saken sa lbas na 2 matanda nag papatago daw sila ng phone, so no choice na ako kasi malalate na talaga ako, pikit mata na lang sige iniwan kuna sa kanila, pinahawak na lang yung stub nila saken, aabangan na lang daw ako sa labas, pag labas ko... bawal den pala ang cologne inside, kaso nasa luob naman ng bag ko yung perfume ko, pina spray lang saken tapos pinapasok na ako hindi naman kinuha...

while waiting inside, para sa pre-screening...nung turn kuna bigay ng passport at yung form...ask nung lalake:

* anung name? birthdate? may visa na dati? kailang mag expire? ....then.... may other pictures po ba? "eh wala akong dalang pic na pang US Visa" sabi niya sige pa picture po kayo sa labas sa may Kodak (inside the embassy) ...then balik na lang po kayo, wag na pumila....

ayun pa pic naman ako, may goodness ang haba ng pila, almost 1hr ata ang na consume ko ron...medyo strict kasi sila sa pictures, dapat walang teeth and facial expression, bawal den may hikaw sa pic and dapat clear...kaya to make sure dala na den ng picture na pang US Visa...

eh di nung pag balik ko sa luob, nag finger scanning...den diretcho agad sa consul..natuwa ako, kasi natapat saken yung consul na nag tatagalog...mukha siyang mabait at naka smile parati...nahiya naman ako mag english kasi tagalog tanong niya kaya tagalog den sagot koh...

- Magandang Umaga (get niya nang passport and form) ..Magandang Umaga po =)
- Anung rason bakit pupunta ng Amerika?? ... for Vacation po
- Ilan beses na nag punta ng Amerka?? ...4 times na po
- Gaano katagal nag sstay?? ... 1month lang po
- Pwedeng makita ang visa mo?? (bigay ko ang mga old passports koh, sabay tatak niya sa recent visa) ....Sige ok na, paki antay na lang yung visa sa bahay niyo ....Thank You po

Tips:

- magandang makuhang sched for interview is maaga (if possible)
- at least 30mins before the interview makapasok na ng embassy
- dont bring electronics, perfumes, cellphone, camera and food (di ko lang alam for the baby's)
- prepare needed papers for proofs: old passport, bank certificates and bank book, land titles (if u have) , vehicle registration (if u have) , business proof ...
- ID picture for US Visa
- kung anung tanong, yun lang ang sagot (wag na mag elaborate)
- kung ano lang hinihinge ng consul na documents, yun lang ang ibbigay

** and always put a smiling face natural lang kabahan pero we have to be alert and attentive... and never forget to pray for his guidance and give thanks to our Lord...

alam ko may reason bakit dameng nangyari saken para mapunta ako sa mabait na I.O, thank you Lord, he made a way para makarating ako ng maayos at nalayo sa kapahamakan meron den kasi ibang mga I.O dun na medyo strict nakikita ko na meron den na dedeny and isa lang ata nakita kong nag tatagalog, swerte talaga...

I've scheduled my interview at 11:30AM. I know people have recommended to get an early morning schedule but I was afraid to get late since I'll be coming from the province pa if I get a 630/730 interview. My mind also keeps telling me that it's stupid to think that only early morning interview gets approved but still, I'm thinking if I should reschedule it. My problem naman is that I'm not even sure if there's still an earlier schedule available. What do you think?

^^my interview schedule was 3pm. they gave me a 10 year multiple entry visa. afternoon schedule yung kinuha ko kasi alam ko na late ako makaka uwi a day before my interview. ang hirap naman kasi na sobrang puyat ako during the interview. 
sa tingin ko wala naman yun sa interview schedule mo. mostly mag dedepend yun sa mga sagot mo at sa consul na tatapat syo. what if makakuha ka nga ng maagang schedule pero physically at mentally di ka pa prepared kasi masyadong maaga at manggagaling ka pa ng province, baka di mo masagot ng maayos yung consul. assess mo sarili mo bago mo baguhin yung schedule mo.
