early next year my sister and dad would be renewing their visa. yung visa ng dad ko noon hindi tourist visa kasi graduate student sya sa US for 2-3 years  (di ko alam tawag). coz of his visa he was able to bring my mom to the US at that time. dun na pinanganak yung isang kapatid ko. at yung kapatid kong yun ang nag petition sa aming lahat.

approved na yung petition ng dad ko, ayaw lang nya mag submit ng documents kasi feeling namin ayaw nya mag migrate dun. nauna pang napetition ng kapatid ko yung dad namin kesa sa mom namin, yung mom ko nag migrate na sa US last year. gusto sana ng mom ko na dalawin sya ng dad ko. semi retired na ang dad ko kasi senior citizen na sya. maliit lang din yung income nya, he relies on us for his financial needs. makakakuha kaya dad ko ng visa kung konti na lang effort pwede na sya mag migrate dun?

Possible pa rin ma-grant ng tourist visa dad mo. My dad received his letter na go go go na ang case nya for petition (after 2 decades, sa wakas!)...super tagal kasi married then sibling ang nagpetition sa kanya. The deadline was nitong Oct2011. Nov2010 (the letter was with him already then) he applied for a tourist visa and he was given 10yrs multiple.

^ Did your dad have to declare that he has a petition?  Did he apply for the tourist visa through the VRP?

My husband's mother filed a petition for him when he was still single.  He received a letter a few years ago from the INS in which the INS confirmed that they have received the petition.  After that, wala ng word as to the status of the petition.

He got a tourist visa before the petition was filed.  He is planning to apply sana next year for another tourist visa through the VRP.  Lalabas ba sa DS-160 ang question regarding his petition?  He honestly does not know what the status is and he has not followed up on it.

^He said he wasn't asked anything about it naman. I forgot na if there's an entry in the DS160 (parang meron) although I am the one who filled it up on his behalf. And no, not through VRP kasi this July lang naman na-implement the VRP. He applied for his tourist visa last Nov2010 pa and got his 10yr B1/B2...plus, kung sakali, di rin sya applicable sa VRP kasi previous US visa nya is for official/diplomat purposes (A visa, just like one of my previous ones, prior to my last one pa...childhood memories harhar)

alam ko may question dun about an existing petition so dapat ideclare yun. i had my visa interview last year. the consul did not ask me about the petition that my sibling filed kasi nasa form na yun. they gave me a 10 yr multiple entry visa.

approved na yung petition naming lahat, visa na lang yung kulang. sa case ko matagal pa talaga darating yang visa na yan sa dami ng naka petition. sa case ng dad ko, he just needs to submit 1 document then uusad na yung petition nya, w/in a year after submiting that document pwede na sya magrant ng visa. na una pa sya napetition ng sibling ko kesa sa mom namin. mom namin nasa US na, sya nandito pa din kasi ayaw nya ibigay yung document na hinihingi nya.

My dad let his petition letter expire na rin. The deadline given to him was last Oct. He has no plans at all of migrating. Actually, any one of us. My maternal AND paternal grandparents are all US permanent residents (except for my maternal grandpa, who's a US citizen) and returned their green cards. oops, OT.

will there be any issue kaya if ever i will apply my son for a visa? i've had my tourist visa since i was a kid.. parenew lang ng parenew.. pati ako magpaparenew this coming january, isasabay ko na ang 1 year old baby ko.. i'm a single mom.. and he carries my last name.. N/A ang father's name niya sa [textspeak!].. mei issue kaya? i really want a visa for my son para maisama ko siya pagmagvavacation ang family ko this coming april.. any opinions?

^ it should not be an issue.  my sister is a single mom too and was able to get a visa for her daughter.  just like you, she's had a tourist visa for a while and got one for her daughter last year.  hindi naman naging issue yung pagiging single mom nya.  i think she was just asked about her work and how much she earns.

mga sis, about sa photo na dadalhin, dapat ba kapareho nung nsa application mo or you can get a new one? yung ginamit kasi sa application ko, yung sa passport ko yun e, pero white background  taken last august. need your urgent advise, please please.. tia. sa thurs na interview ko

mga sis, about sa photo na dadalhin, dapat ba kapareho nung nsa application mo or you can get a new one?

I used 2 different pictures sa application at sa picture na dinala ko, so far wala namang problem

had my interview this morning (6:30am) and got approved

^ sis dimplesgon (remember me, eb sa eb?) naging guide ko yun pinost mo hehe.. as in pinrint ko at nire-review during the entire process. even looked for the consul na nagtatagalog. kasabay ko yun mom ng friend ko na tutuluyan ko if ever sa US.. pareho pala kaming secretly praying for that consul.. siya napapunta dun at ako naman sa kamukha ni santa claus na pumayat no documents were asked from me... thanks for posting your experience

the consul asked me about the petition ng tita ko sa mom ko. hindi naman na finile ni motherhood kasi dito na rin sa pinas based yun tita ko. i think one factor yun na nag-prove na wala akong balak mag-overstay dun.

My appointment will be on Dec 13, this will be my first time to lodge a B1/B2 visa application. I have no idea what else to bring to the embassy. Please see below if enough na yung mga docs na need ko or may need pa ko dalhin.

1. Application form (printed from the site)
2. Bank certificate or bank statement (which is better to bring?)
3. 2x2 picture
4. Certificate of employment
5. ITR
6. Invitation letter from my company (ipapadala lang ako dun for 6 weeks)
7. Payment slip

Also, any new tips para maapprove yung applicaton ko.

Yes of course I remember you sister Greyzie..(miss ko na ang EB sa EB! he he he) anyway, im happy na kahit paano nakatulong yung pinost kong experience.

Although di ko masabi anong klaseng visa (if single or multiple) 'coz I was issued a single entry lang dati. Ang sabi lang ng consul kanina: Congratulations, you got approve for visa. We will senf your passport back within 3-5 days. Eh di na ako nagtanong, medyo intimidating 'yung consul hehe.

I got 10 years multiple entry na pala!

hi mga sis,

me again.  tanong lang po kasi hindi ako natuloy sa planned vacation ko this year sa us, and tuloy na expire yung visa ko and want to renew it.   is the schedule on march 2012 available na sa VRP?kasi i want to go with my family and apply and some kasi have to go through the regular process na bec. more than a year expire na yung kanilang visa, di na pasok sa vrp. at the same time walang pasok yong mga bata,  available na po bah yong mga march the schedule for regular application at saka sa vrp? 

sis, anong chances kaya na ma approve yong visa ko o ma renew.
multiple entry ako dati, been to US twice.  1st time for 11 days lang (2007), 2nd time 5 months+ (2010), been to hk, singapore, china, thailand, taiwan, south korea and before reapplying going to singapore on feb. 2012, and on april sa Beijing. I travel naman every year sa ibang bansa pero nakakabahan kasi ako coz my last stay was for a long time, pero palipatlipat naman ako nang state.  my bank book is not that much and i am self employed sa company nang dad ko. ok lang kaya?  di rin ako nursing course. 

Things I have with me
a. Bank Passbook in USD (maliit lang talaga)
b. ITR
c. company letter from my dad

please help naman oh if may tips kayo. and what else do i need to bring with me?  thank you thank you

oh and single po ako and turning 30 on march 2012 birthday gift to ourselves kasi etong planned trip namin sa US nang best friend sa second quarter nang 2012

got denied.. so sad. it wasnt about the petition but the family and economic ties. di ko maintindihan what's really their basis. how can they truly assess you if they dont even bother checking your documents, unlike the european or other embassies? parang depende lang ata sa trip or mood ng consul. and the visa fee is not cheap ha
