^Sis, pag single entry, i think, hindi sya kasama sa VIsa Reissuance Program or VRP ng US Embassy. You have to apply for a new US Visa, so hindi sya renewal sis.
Yung sa VRP kasi, ang valid is the regular B1/B2 na Visa holders or those with 5 to 10 years na multiple entry visa and have not been denied a US Visa for the past 12 months.

Thanks for answering my question mga sis but I'm not referring to VRP 'coz I know I'm really not qualified for that. What I mean is mas mataas na kaya ang chances ko na mabigyan ulit ng visa?

^IMO, nobody can make a Sweeping statement na, "Yes, your chances are good" or vice versa. As you can see here, even though a lot are being granted visas, there are still some who get denied. It all boils down to the consul if he/she feels like issuing one and ties to the Philippines.

Like in your case, just because you were denied before, it doesn't mean you won't be issued one. And yes, they issued you one after that, diba? Are you applying for B1 still or for B2 purposes ka na this time?

B1 again sis since I have to go back there again for another conference. Some of my friends kasi say na "mabibigyan ka naman na ulit nyan dahil umuwi ka naman e." Sa naging experience ko lang eh hindi ko pa din ma-assure sa sarili ko na madali ngang makakuha ako ulit since as per my experience parang naging trip-trip lang 'yung decision ng consul.  Ayoko lang kasi na ma-pressure/stress kakaisip but I can't help it lalo na may expectation sa management na "madali" na daw para sa 'kin-- dun lang ako nape-pressure.

If not for work talaga, hindi ako magi-interes mag-apply kasi ayokong nai-stress. Hay, hopefully maging positive ulit para makapag-concentrate ako sa mas important matters sa work.

Hey girls. A question lang about US Visa. Kasi I got invited by a friend and his family to visit them next summer. I told them that I can't kasi wala akong US Visa and that I would probably be denied of the US Visa kasi I've never really traveled out of the country. I've got a job but I'm 25, I'm single, and just graduated this April. Parang yung last three, medyo red flag right? All my immediate family members are here in the Philippines but I've got distant relatives sa US but we've never really kept in touch.

I did promise na I'll try to get the visa though. Chances are I might get denied but I do want to know what you think.

^^ sis, i agree with sis theflygirl. the US consuls gave me a hard time talaga for 4 years that i have to go every year to apply for a US visa (B1 - since business trip).  not sure about your ties here pero sakin kasi, im the only one left here and immediate family is based in the US na.  sa 4 trips na yun, i was only given either single entry or multiple entry but good for 6 months lang.  it was only last 2007 that i was approved with 10 yrs B1/B2--  still my application here was sponsored by the company.

just sharing my experience.  who knows, this time u may be granted na 10yrs multiple.

Hi ladies..May i know hows your experience with VRP? did u present pa ba the usual documents like financial docs and the likes? madfali lang ba?

My visa will expire next year June2012 pero Im planning to take advatage of the VRP program para wala ng Interview (Im not sure kase baka next year wala na to syanag naman ang chance diba?) what do you guys think I-renew ko na kaya habang maaga pa?

^^^Did VRP last week. Super fast and convenient. Whole process took me 45mins only. You only need to bring your appointment confirmation letter, bank receipt and 2x2 photo (in case), DS160, and a pen! Hehe. Did I miss anything? 

1. Fill up a VRP checklist before you enter the embassy. The embassy staff will then check if your documents are in order and if you fulfill all the VRP conditions. NOTE: the passports from the time your fullterm visa was issued till the current one MUST be complete. Anyway, this is really one of the given conditions. Most of the people lined up when I went to the embassy were asked about it. (not all people travel all the time so those who had gaps between passport validities were scrutinized. Some people don't immediately renew passports if they don't have travel plans. The embassy staff questioned them if they really didn't travel or had no passport issued during the "middle parts or gaps". Next, they'll attach a label onto the back cover of your passport (a really good thing cos before they used to stick it in front, covering the word PASAPORTE). Your name, passport nbr & appointment time and date are on it.

2. Enter the embassy doors and go through xray.

3. Line up for a queue number at the ticket booth.

4. Proceed to the waiting area for your nbr to flash on the screen. VRP applicants are asked to sit near the front since its a speedy process. Last week, we were called in batches of 15. I was asked to go to window 26 where a Filipina asked me about my previous travel and other visa types. This took no longer than 5mins. She then handed me back my docs and asked me to sit and wait for my turn for fingerprinting (using the same queue nbr).

5. Wait for your number to flash on the screen for fingerprinting. I wasn't even in my seat yet and my number was flashing already for window 14. A comical Russian guy took my fingerprints (4right and 4left) and instructed me to extend my arms for the thumbs printing. Took a quick look at my documents and advised me that if they have further questions, they'll contact me within two days. That if I don't hear from them by that time, to just wait for my passport within 2-3days.

I received my 10yr B1/B2 visa after 3days. Next stop, the Chinese embassy!

im planning to apply for a tourist visa before matapos yung 2011. im starting to gather all the documents needed. ano po yung form w-2 and yung audited financial statement with BIR or bank stamp na naka state as supporting documents? thanks po

Naku sis, kahit ako nung renewal ko, stressed din ako ng slight. kAhit regular ang punta ko ng Us, hindi pa rin ako ganun ka-confident na ire-renew nila pero Thanks God at narenew na uli ako thru Vrp. So talagang normal lang ang kabahan at mastressed sa pagkuha or magrenew ng US Visa. : )

 dapat kase jan2011 pa nila to ginawa "VRP" para mabilis..sayang my cousin renewed his visa last feb and was denied, to think he has been issued 2(10yr visa) before..pag talaga nasa 20's and single mahigpit sila..

Does the embassy return all the supporting documents presented? Do I need to have a photocopy version of all?

hi mga sis..ask ko lang po..my daughter and I are planning to get a tourist visa kc wedding ng sister ko july 2012..we have a pending petition, actually current na kami last year and paid all the fees and submitted all the requirements, interview and medical na lang kulang..kaso ngkaretrogression, so napending and with the movement now ng visa bulletin, mukhang by July 2012 di aabot, F3 category namin and sobrang bagal ng movement ulet..so we want to try to get a tourist visa..really want to be there on her special day, minsan lang kc tayo ikasal and she needs my daughter to be her flower..kami lang ng eldest ko magapply, yung husband and youngest daughter to maiiwan..tingin nyo?? employed naman ako for 13 years already and really no plan on staying long there kc yaya lang maiiwan sa bunso ko...saka sympre gusto ko buong family kung mgmigrate, were not in the hurry din naman kc ok naman kami dito sa phils, just really want to attend the wedding...give me advices and feedback..TIA!! god bless us all!!

^^^ Sis Mrs.Sweet, before kasi, nung hindi pa paperless application, or mga 2 or 3 years before, binabalik na rin nila lahat ng docus. Tinitingnan lang nila, then ibinabalik na after. I will ask sa Monday, yung mga officemates ko na this year lang nag apply. Not VRP, talagang new applicants sila, na nabigyan ng US Visa. So Monday sis, mag posts uli ako ng sagot para mas accurate.

Hi sis Kylakirts, sorry for the late reply! Nag iisip pa kasi ako ng sagot at may iko-consult pa ako na friend ko kung ano magandang sagot sa case ng family mo. As i have said sa mga earlier posts ko re your case, medyo unusual at di ko pa na-encounter kaya magtatanong ako sa iba.

Yes sis, you need to bring your green form kasi may record na kayo ng family mo dun and im sure they will look for that green form kung yun ang bilin sa inyo.

Nung nag apply ng US Visa ang hubby and kids ko a few years ago,tiningnan nila ang docus na dala
namin then binalik din. so chinecheck din naman nila.

And then kasi sis, dun sa online application, kung ano nilagay nyo dun,yun na ang major basis kung ano ang itatanong sa inyo at kung bibigyan kayo ng visa or hindi.Most of the times, better pa rin to tell the truth kasi binabackground test na nila kung ano sinubmit online.

I think, ok sabihin sa case mo na you really want to visit US with your kids. Na medyo na afraid ka lang   sa  start na mareject kaya hindi ka nag-apply asap kasama ng kids mo. But now, you have seen the light, that its really a good idea and opportunity to apply together with your kids.

It's ok to write, memorize and rehearse your answers para mas sure. Ganyan ginawa ng hubby ko. May practice pa kami ng buong family ko. My hubby, me and our 4 and 3 year old kids during that time. And inisip namin kung ano mga possible questions sa isa't isa. Dapat, same kayo lagi ng answer ng hubby and kids mo. Then pag yung kids or yung hubby ang tinatanong, the other members should not butt in. Answer lang kung sino ang tinatanong ng consul. Always be respectful sa consul kahit nakaka asar na.

And don't lose hope kung ano man mangyari. Meron din talagang try and try, at dahil sa perseverance ay nabibigyan din. Actually may mga cases also na nareject na pero they can still appeal if valid by writing the US Embassy and in some cases, nare reverse. Or yung iba naman sa 2nd or 3rd try ay nabibigyan na. In your case,mas ok maging positive muna sis ang thinking.

And will ask yung opinion ng friend ko na may background sa ganyan.

Hi sis, wala naman mawawala kung mag apply kayo and you will state kung bakit kayo pupunta ng US. I have a friend na hindi masyadong strong ang docus nya pero binigyan sya ng single entry para maka-attend sa wedding ng sister nya.

My brother in law also has a pending petition pero malayo po ang itatakbo ng papers nya pero still nabiyan sya ng multiple entry. No harm naman sis in trying.
