^^Sis Dooonna, naku sis, sa inyong family, you have the lowest chances of getting a us Visa. Not keen ang US at  this time on giving visas sa mga nursing grads.
Based yan sis sa mga stories ng friends and acquaintances ko. it's not a question ng financial capabilities or yung ties here. Pinaka recent story ay yung anak ng isa sa mga boss ko. very financially capable pero nursing graduate at working na sa other field at ok naman income. He was denied for the 3rd time this September.
But you can always try sis. Malay mo naman at iba yung fortune mo! : )

Oo nga sis eh. Ako lang ang kawawa. Haha! My classmate nga, graduating pa lang kami, siya lang 'yung nadeny. Kasalanan 'to ng mga nag-TNT na nurses. Tsk. Anyway, I think Canada na lang nga, and tama ang sabi ng dad ko na mababa nga talaga chance namin, or baka ako lang pag sa US.

hi there.. been backreading here pero puro renewal ang nababasa ko..

im planning to get US visa before the year ends possible kaya? tinatamad kasi mama ko asikasuhin na lahat kame at magastos daw kung aalis kame lahat pero ako mapilit kasi gusto ko itry dahil may offer din yung tita ko na basta makapunta lang dun employer na bahala for the working visa and other stuff...

my dilemma is i don't know where to start...

currently fresh grad ako, 22y/o working proby sa bpi. good naman financial status namen and we have business to support my background.. makakuha kaya ako agad? and madali lang ba???

ito kasi pinapa-fill up saken.. wala ng ibang instructions na sinabe...

^^Hay, oo nga sis, sorry ha, I don't want rin naman to sugar-coat yung current dilemma ng mga nurses sa pag kuha ng us visa kahit ang gusto lang naman ay mamasyal!  : (

But i think, you can remedy naman your current status. Ang payo nung isa kong friend who works before sa US Embassy, get ka ng work dito sa Philippines as as nurse for 1 year para makapag establish ka ng ties (sa nursing prof??). Parang ganun. Oo sis, better kung Canada na lang muna. Tutal pareho lang halos ang itsura ng US at Canada!
Pag naka kwentuhan komuli yung friend ko, update kita! : )
Pero sis, there's no harm in trying, at least natry mo.

^^Sis glacy_rein, i have a post re VRP renewal. Over all, ganun din ang pagkuha ng new US Visa. And you have to produce all sorts of docus, to establish family ties and financial capabilities. Logged on ka sis sa US Embassy website for the requirements.
And also, paperless application  na sis sa US embassy (forgot what they call it pero parang ganyan) which means filling  up the application will be online.
And sis, yes, it will really take up your time. Time-consuming. 

Your first step, is to pay the visa fee sa BPI and have your picture taken na naka save sa USB or CD for uploading.

oo nga eh..sana meron pang schedule.. medyo nadelay kasi 'yong endorsement letter namin from one gov't agency eh kaya need talaga paresched.. tapos i have current dilemma pa..hehe sana you can give me your opinion..

^Syempre sis, 101% ang chances nila kung pareho kayong may US Visa or at least isa sa inyo. Pag dating kasi sa US Consul, i'm sure na itatanong nila na do you think na safe mag travel yung 2 nyo lang anak na hindi kayo kasama lalo na at 7 years old lang yung isa.
 although from my US travels, naka-ilang encounter din ako ng mga kids na mag isa lang nag byahe pero guided na ng mga stewardess at airport personnel although never got the chance to talk to any of them syempre kung bakit sila mag-isa at wala pa akong nakita na as young as 7 years old. Although i think, it's really cool! : )

And i think they have good chances pa rin naman, iestablish lang yung financial support ng grandparents at need you rin ipakita ang financial capabilities to support both of them. Although unusual at least for me. Usually parents muna kasi mag apply then saka yung kids.
Sis, bakit hindi ka rin sumabay mag-apply?

Basta, isipin mo na, lahat ng possible questions na related sa mga kids mo, sa grandparents nila, sa inyong mag asawa. Although it doesnt help, na nadeny yung hubby mo ng twice.  Bakit sya sis nadeny? Baka kasi magkaroon rin yan ng bearing.

k_heart ano yung usual sched nila? i have work kasi from monday-friday and hindi pa ako pwede magleave unless emergency plus I cant tell na dahil magpapainterview ako to get US visa.. pano kaya??

then same question kay kylakrist,,, do i get a chance din ba? i mean bakit ba possible na madeny??

^Sis matagal talaga yung immigrant visa. Nasa anong step na ba sya? It depends also kung anong klaseng immigrant visa at kung sino ang nag petition. Yung sa iba, years talaga.

medical, personal interview/appearance na siya at nagsubmit ng docs. so basically waiting for passport from them. kaso nagtyphoon.

Hi mga sis,share naman ng experience kung ano mga kadalasang question ng mga consul sa mga kids na applying tourist visa and also sa parents.

^Ah ok sis! Naku RN pala ang hubby mo. Napaka unfair ng mga consuls sa RN. Na-double whammy pa your hubby kasi nandun din parents nya. Ayayayay!
Yung hubby ko, both parents immigrant din sa US at kasama yung hubby ko nun nung na-approved ang papers nila but dahil nagpakasal kami ng hubby ko, hindi na nya tinake yung opportunity na yun. Pero, ayun, nung nagdecide kami na kumuha sya ng US Visa at yung mga kids namin (ages 3 and 4 sila, 2 years ago), puro tungkol dun sa parents nya at sa status nya dati ang tanong. Yun yung minemorize pa namin yung sagot nya. nahilo kami sa tanong ng consul.
Sa mga kids syempre,madali lang, like how old are you, why do you want to go to US? Syempre with the traditional answer na we want to meet Mickey Mouse and visit Disneyland.he!he!

Sis Glacy Rein, hindi ako masyado familiar sa skeds, kasi medyo limited lang naview ko nung nagpa sked ko. Monday to Friday, then sa morning 7am ang earliest to 9:30 am lang yata. Not sure also, although nung nag pa interview kasi ako, yung 9:30am na ang last batch for that day. alam ko meron din afternoon.

suggest sama ka na sa pag-apply ng visa with the family. mas maganda approval rate pag whole family esp. if the kids are still small. many of my family (side ko) members are now in the US -citizen and perm. residents already when we applied in 2008 (my petition was considered null and void when i married too). The consul did not bother to look at our supporting docs. She just asked what's my work and tama yung sabi ni k-heart na tanong sa kids, kung what they will do there -which is Disney din sagot ng anak ko (i wonder, parang script na ba ito? hahaha my husband just thought of it). May dala pa kaming Mickey Mouse na plush.
Yung isa naming friend, nag advise, keep your cool. Wag magpakita na excited at gigil kang pumunta. So what if madeny ka? Kasi nakikita sa eyes ng mga tao yung apprehension. If wala kang itinatago, why be afraid.
Point also, bad ang US economy. As in i've personal acquaintances umuwi from there kasi di na kaya ang cost of living ng sahod nila. Ergo, the US needs foreign visitors to spend their money there. Kaya marami sila inaapprove na visa ngayon.

mga sis may nakaexperience na ba dito ng no show case sa us vusa appointment?tumawag na kasi ako sa hotline kanina tapos sabi ififile daw yong case then antay daw ako ng email..got 2 emails.. sabi sa isa, ayon nga case number report..tapos yong isa sabi case closed na.. then i tried to set an appointment ulit ayaw naman..eh sabi nong agent pag nareceive ko na yong email pwede na ulit ako pasched,, help!

^ ako sis no show nung sept 29, pero i recieved a confirmation letter naman for that sched. then by sep 30 i was able to get another sched which is nov. 14 na.
gusto ko sana mas earlier pa, kaso when i was scheduling,na-click ko pala yung nov. 9 then bigla nag-refresh yung yung site, akala ko di ko nakuha yung nov. 9, so nag-sched uli ako which is nov. 14 na, thinking that nov. 14 is my second time to sched palang, eh pang-3rd na pala, since na-count yung nov.9
so no choice nov. 14 lang talaga sched ko.
sad, if ma-approve sana eh matagal sana stay ko sa US, and di ako nagmamadali umuwi kasi i have a flight for HK by dec. 17, kainis

My first sched was oct 4.. Tapos ayon no show nga..how did you process it sis?.. I tried rescheduling it kaso pag enter ko ng receipt number hindi nya inaacept.. do i need to call sa hotline again?

Sis Bigdadis_girl, 10 years naman usually ang US Visa, oks lang na hindi mo agad magamit sa first few years.

basa basa muna ako hindi ko alam where to start e, L1 visa holder hubby ko susunod ako by next year if ever makakuha agad ako ng visa.  may binayaran ba kayong anti fraud fee? and need ba ng show money? if need magkano naman kailangan? (tourist lang ako, will stay siguro for a month lang)
