^^Sis, from my experience, nag appearance ako last wednesday for VRP and got my renewed US Visa by Friday (September 23), 2 days lang sis.Not sure kung may nadeny na.

^^Sis joie, baka pwede mo na lang tanggalin yung (-) sa Em-Em,para Em Em na lang. yes sis, pwedeng sabay kayo. Pag nagi schedule ka na, meron dun item kung may kasabay ka sa family mo para 1 sked lang kayo.
Yes, sis joie, print out lang ang needed. Yung 1st visa application ko, hindi ako nagpakita ng bank statement, then nung kumuha ang mga kids ko at hubby ko, nagpa print out lang ako sa bank ko ng bank statement ko. Yung bank actually na yun ay kung saan dinedeposit ang sweldo namin and also serves as my checking amount. Parang print out lang ng activity ko sa bank.

^When you scheduled for an appt, let's say now, super soon ba yung next available VRP sked? Did you do it online?

Haven't been able to finalize my sched yet. I made an inquiry through the US Embassy official blog about previous stay in the US na more than 6mos....they revised the VRP rules to read as more than 6mos stay on a B1/B2 visa...good they clarified it. I had a diplomatic visa before kasi and stayed for 10mos. So, under pa din ako ng VRP. After my applic, next stop, renewal for my 2kids & new applic for my 2 younger kids! Whew!

included na sa visa fee ang courier's fee kaya pag nagset kayo ng appointment may question dun kung san nyo ipapadeliver and 2Go na ang designated courier nila. unlike before pag approve na visa they will tell you to pay delbros for delivery of visa.

^^Hi Sis theflygirl, i finished filling up online application on September 15 and after submitting my form, i immediately checked the available sked and saw 1 free schedule na lang  for the month of September and that's September 21 and i immediately grab it. Then the rest available sked  na ay October.
Yes sis, online also yung booking ko, : )!

Yay got my visa approved! Had my interview yesterday and i'll receive it within 3 days daw.. Went there at 10 and I was done at 12 na.. Lahat ng applicants approved yata.. naririnig ko mga sinasabi/tinatanong ng consuls sa kanila sa pinag upuan ko eh Buti nalang hindi kasing strict sa pinas ang mga consuls dito

@k_heart-thanks for the info! I'm not in too much of a hurry. Just wanted an idea about the new procedure. But I do wanna do it soon. Need to get an NBI clearance pa (grrr!) for my Chinese visa application. That's my next "project"!

^Ah ok sis, company sponsored, it means hindi sya regular visa. It means also that pag nag renew sya as L1 also that needs company backing. Hindi sya pwede sa VRP kasi B1/B2 lang ang allowed to renew under that. If he will get a regular b1/b2 visa, talagang new application na yun sis and pwede na kayong mag sabay sabay ng buong family nya including your kid/kids. Ready nyo na lang sis ang mga financial documents because embassy will surely ask for it. Although chineck ko yung L1, allowed pala magsama ng family.

^yes sis, although until 2013 pa valid yung visa nya. he won't renew, apply sya ng tourist visa na because anytime magreresign na sya from company e.

parang he just wanted to apply a tourist visa now habang nasa company pa sya, para mas maganda background.

Cancelled pala up to now ang US Embassy appointments dahil sa baha yesterday. All applicants na may schedule today will be rescheduled. Buti na lang nakuha ko na renewal visa ko.

mga sis.. question.. ang VRP ba sure na magkakaron ka ulit ng visa? hehe.. anyway, kasi i had my visa since 1989 when i was a kid.. buong family namin ganun, we're just renewing our visas every ten years.. wala pa ngang appearance needed noon pag magpaparenew eh.. well, anyway, this time kasi, nung 2008 nagexpire yung visas namin tapos hindi namin naasikaso to renew agad.. until magplan kami magvacation early next year kaya we need to renew them.. under pa kaya kami sa VRP? thanks! kinakabahan ako kasi hindi naman ako naiinterview sa embassy before.. ngayon kasi required na magpainterview kahit for renewal [textspeak!].. plus, we have 4 kids for new visa application.. mga nieces ko and my 1 year old son.. plan sana namin, as a family lahat kami sabay sabay na magprocess.. pwede ba yun? renewal and application 7 kaming lahat.

^Hi sis, under VRP, hindi ka na covered. You have to apply for a new US Visa. Ang covered ng VRP ay yung B1/B2 na US Visas ay yung Visa na still valid up to Visas na nagexpired within the last 12 months only. Then may mga ilang check list pa sa US Embassy online site that you might want to check out for VRP eligibility. Pero the expiration of your visa means, hindi ka na sis pasok sa VRP and you need to get a regular appointment.

I don't think na lahat then na pasok sa VRP has a 100% chance that they will be given a us visa again. Parang hindi rin ganun ka-automatic i think. Although dahil ilang months pa lang VRP, hasnt encountered pa na kakilala ko or even dito sa thread na hindi narenew as of now.

Hi!

Would love to apply for a US tourist visa sana for the family. Intending to use it for the Holyweek next year, kaya pa ba? First timer here, may I know the steps in applying for a visa? Detailed sana hehe

Also, we are a family with 2 kids ages 10 and 8. Is it ok if we apply all at the same time? D kaya mag-isip yung consul na baka mag-TNT kami dun since lahat kami mag apply?

^ sis, you can drop by at the US Embassy Philippines website for the detailed steps in applying for a US Visa and complete requirements. In the meanwhile, here's a short info:
1. Pay muna ikaw sis sa BPI ng US VISA fee. Bring your passport, coz you cannot pay without presenting it.
2. Now, pakuha lahat kayo ng pics, solo syempre, he!he! that will pass the the US Visa ID pic requirement. Ask the picture company to save it sa CD or bring a USB.
3. Then, fill up na kayo ng application online. One application for each member of the family and the first step should be uploading the picture id online. There should be an internet connection while answering all the questions. Easy to fill up pag kids kasi wala pa masyadong history.
4. After filling it up and submitting online, that's the only time that you can sked an interview. Yes, 1 sked na for the whole family.
5. after choosing and finally getting a sked, print mo lahat sis yung confirmation, yung last page na may picture.

Then, punta na kayo sa exact date ng interview. Don't be late.
And yes sis, you still have plenty of time.

2 years ago, i also applied us visas for my hubby and kids (ages 3 and 4 at that time), ok naman, hindi naman nila inisip na mag TNT kami kahit andun buong family ng hubby ko. Meron na din ako US visa at that time. And just renewed it through VRP ngayong September lang.
