thanks sis! we still brought those supporting documents to be sure. pero hindi naman kami hinanapan during our appointment.

^thanks sis. once ko lang nagamit yung visa ko. yung sa dad ko twice and yung sa mom ko 4 times. i'm not sure if it matters.

di ko pa din kasi alam kung ilang yrs and kung single entry or multiple ang ibibigay sa min this time. malalaman ko next week pa pag na-receive na namin yung passports namin. i'm worried nga baka single entry lang ibigay sa kin kasi once ko lang nagamit yung sa kin. pero yung sa parents ko malamang 10 yrs multiple ulit kasi senior citizens naman na sila.

interview namin ni hubby this morning. approved kami, yay! it's my 3rd try (2x ako denied 1998 and 2001, single pa ko nun). si hubby naman, 1st time nya. almost same process with sis jade's kwento, simula pagpasok hanggang fingerscanning. sa min naman, after the fingerscan, yung consul interview na. 6.15am nga pala ang sked namin kaya fresh pa sila. very helpful talaga ang gt mga sis, kaya thanks thanks talaga. dami ko nakuha tips dito, esp on paying attention on your number, kasi ramdom ang pagtawag. minsan nalalampasan ka na ng mas mataas na number, tapos bigla number mo na pala nagfa-flash sa screen. american yung consul na nag interview sa amin, medyo matanda na, kamukha ni santa claus mas payat lang ng konti. mukha siyang mabait nung una namin siya makita.

-purpose of the travel, how long --vacation, 1 month
-who is <name> --he's my brother (sya kasi nilagay namin tutuluyan sa US. citizen na sya)
-where does he live
-so you just came back from HK? --yes, 2 weeks ago (then tingin sa passports namin)
-do you have kids? --none
-do you have your own house in the phils? --yes
-whos gonna look after your house if you leave? --kwento ko na magkakatabi naman house namin ng sister at parents ko
-what do you do for a living, name of company, how long, how much monthly salary --dito medyo binusisi kami, same company kasi kami ni hubby. he also asked kung allowed ba raw kami sabay na magbakasyon ng one month eh mahaba daw yun. we said yes its ok. then he asked for our payslips, then our certificate of employment. as in sinalat pa talaga ang company dry seal kung authenticate. (medyo sa part na 'to di na yata ako humihinga sa kaba hehe)
then he said, ok, your visas are approved, we'll just deliver them in the address that you stated.
we said thank you, then leave the counter. haayy super kaba but super happy hopefully 10years mabigay sa amin.

add ko lang, ok naman ang pila sa labas. you really should not be there very early kasi ang pinapapila/pinapapasok lang yung mga naka-schedule sa time na yun.
inside naman, may malaking waiting area after getting the number, then pagpasok sa loob, maraming nag-aassist, maraming windows for the prescreening at fingerscanning. kaya mabilis ang proseso. marami lang talaga applicants kaya nagtatagal. but convenient naman. i also noticed mga applicants with babies/kids and seniors pinapauna nila papasukin

share ko lang din experience ng cousin ko na naapprove din. last tuesday naman interview nila. my cousin, her hubby and 2-yr old daughter. 6.15am din sked nila. pagdating sa pre-screening, kulang daw info ng hubby nya, pinalabas sila para magfillup ulit ng ds-160. hanap sila ng internet shop na malapit, 300 daw siningil sa kanila. na-resked yung appointment nila to 9am. bumalik sila 9am tapos nag ok naman na sa prescreening. nung interview time na, ok naman daw mabait yung consul, guy na around 30s lang. questions are almost the usual, san magstay, anong work, etc. tapos ang tagal daw tinitingnan hubby nya then pinaulit pa ang finger scanning sa kanya. kinabahan na sila kasi mukhang madedeny. then afterwards, sinabi na ok, you three are all approved. first timers nga pala silang tatlo. wala daw ni isang document ang hiningi sa kanila.

hi sis, dumating kami 5.50am, medyo mahaba na ang pila, bale 3 lines sya, for immigrant, non-immigrant and seafarers. around 6.10am, nagstart na umandar yung 3 lines papasok. check lang yun barcode sa confirmation letter tapos may sticker na pareho sa passport number na ididikit sa likod ng passport. bale kung hindi pa talaga sked, wala dun yung sticker mo.

sis greyzie, yung travel info for the past 5 years daw, hindi nilagyan. sa pre-screening pa naman tinitingnan lahat ng page sa passport. dun nakita na may travel na siya. kaya pinalabas sila para ulitin ds160.

yung isang friend ko naman this morning, hindi pa siya deny pero di rin approve. binalik passport niya with a green form na for further assessment daw. tatawagan na lang daw siya. may nakaexperience na ba nito? pag deny ba at ibinalik ang passport, tinatatakan muna yung passport?

^That happened to my mom last Nov. Administrative processing ang tawag dyan. The consul said in a day, random daw nangyayari yun. To think she applied sabay ng dad ko, sabay interview. Dad ko tapos agad. (Dad ko pa nga yung may existing ongoing petition na kakalabas lang and ok to go na). Sa mom ko hinold pa, although pinabalik passport nya after a week or so for issuance. She was also given 10yrs din naman. To think super traveller mom ko and she just got back from Australia and already travelled to Europe and the US (on both B1/B2 and A2 visas). Feeling ko naman, they saw her application to teach in the US na luma na. Before the recession. The downside to this lang is they will issue your visa with an annotation that reads, "clearance received..."....which makes her ineligible to apply through the VRP in the future...oh well, in 10yrs pa naman yun and pang-ilang US visa na naman nya yun n has never been denied. Hassle lang the waiting game...yun ang nakaka-stress.

^ah talaga sis, naku swerte naman ng friend ko na-ramdom pick pa siya. but unlike your mom, medyo alanganin sa kanya kasi first time applicant siya saka single pa. may event kasi siya pupuntahan and kumpleto naman siya sa supportings docs like invitation and letter ng magsponsor ng ticket at hotel niya.

Sis, that also happened to my hubby and father-in-law. They had their visas renewed last year, May. 5 kaming nag-apply that time and was interviewed as a group (me and my daughter, first time while my MIL, renewal). Yung saming 3, approved agad while sa kanila, Administrative Processing pa. I dunno if it is because same name sila halos --- hubby is Eduardo Antonio Jr. while his dad is Eduardo only. Sabi ni MIL, baka may flag ang ganung name sa FBI. Super common kasi names nila LOL! Another reason na naiisip ni MIL kung bakit na additional processing pa is because hindi nila nagamit yung last Visa na issued. After a little over a month na sila natawagan para ipadala sa Embassy ang passports para malagyan ng Visa.

Ok na rin, basta approved :-)

^sis, pwede naman sabay yung appointment.  pero sa interview itself, usually individual interview kung working na kayo pareho.
