Bakit naman Kasi sa tv at mga jokes, parang torture. Siguro dahil modern technology na ngayon.

Good news yan -  no need for a crown. Less gastos din for you.

Ewan ko sa kanya. No grudges naman but sana din na uli kami magkita. Tama na 1 RCT maski painless procedure... Kasi painful naman sa bulsa.

Oo nga sis. Isang crown costs about €800 so sabi nya filling na lang kasi €70 lang

I'm just glad I don't have to deal with my tooth again, at least for now

You have to keep in mind the possibility of spending €800 then every time you brush! Thats what drives me to brush really carefully and thoroughly kasi naiisip ko gaano kamahal gagastusin pag nagkasira sira ipin :/

eishchied_21, my upper first molar has 3. Ewan ko lang if it differs from one person to another.

bajorngk, mine was painless... I took ibuprofen before I left the clinic.... and then that night but only as a precaution. Takot lang Kasi ako maka experience ng pain. Hehe... The next few days mejo tender lang yung gums ko and my cheek, but no pain.... My procedure took about 1 hr. 1 session lang. but it was done here in the US.

Good luck sa inyo mga sis. Kaya nyo rin yan. Di sya masakit Kasi may anesthesia naman. Mejo ngawit lang kasi naka nga-nga. Hehe

hi mga sis napadaan lang ako sa thread na to kasi last night super sakit ng ipin ko yung naka root canal lateral yung sa harap last 2008 pa to and kagabi lang sumakit ng ganoon. ayun nag pa check up agad ako and now sabi ng densit ko baka nainfect yung loob so idadaan muna sa medication sana makaya pag hindi re root canal ulit pero hindi daw lahat ng re-job eh successful 50-50 pa worst senario extraction na . sana naman hindi. kaya from now on super aalagaan ko na! tips lang mga sis after uminom ng malalamig or sugar base na food gurgle a warm or top water with salt and of course toothbrush 3x a day.

Hindi sya masakit all the time na ginagawa yung RCT. Minsan lang kasi may time na masusundot yung gum sa loob, pero saglit lang, kelangan mo lang senyasan yung dentist na may nasundot sya. Inabot yung saken ng more than 1 month (session every 1-2 weekends) kasi sigurista yung dentist ko.

Sa umpisa sasakit sya AFTER ng procedure, kelangan inuman ng antibiotics at painkiller, pero maglelessen yung sakit DAPAT after a few sessions. Pag di na sumasakit after ng procedure, pwede na i-stop yung treatment at i-cement at lagyan ng crown.

sisses, required talaga mag-antibiotic during RCT? Dentist will ask you to take it after your first session of RCT? Thanks

^  Depende sa case.  if medically compromised ang patient or if nagdevelop ng fever because of the infected tooth.

How about xray? Nun nagexplain saken yun dentist ng procedure ng RCT parang never nya namention ang xray before RCT?

^sabi kasi nun dentist 3 canals yun molar ko. dba dapat pag nagpa-rct automatic lahat ng canals yun? Akala ko kelangan ng xray para malaman yun depth ng canals and yun position na rin nya.

^ tama yun sis.. para makita nya din kung me abscess or cyst.. ganun kasi yung sinabi ng dentist ko napa rct kasi ako last month..

^^korek sis, important ang xray sa success ng rct para makita yung length and positions ng instruments sa canals.

thanks miss_o and skylar-ddm. Worried lang kasi ako when the dentist explained to me the procedure of rct wala syang namention na xray. Feeling ko tuloy hindi nya ako irerequire na magpaxray. I'm not in PH kasi kaya tinatanong ko talaga yun details ng procedure ng RCT dito sa thread na to.

had my RCT done yesterday...and yes hindi naman pala ganun kasakit..he he..sobrang takot ko kasi and the dentist assured me na wala ako dapat ikatakot..nasaktan lang ako nung ininject yung anesthetic after nun wala na ko naramdaman..as i manhid ata buong lips ko pati tongue ..basta pag may pain daw or uncomfortable ako senyas lang..nung consultation ko i had yun panoramic na xray..yung lahat ng teeth ko tapos in the middle of the procedure yesterday nag xray uli kami pero yung tooth lang mismo to check ata yung canals..kung tama na yung depth or something..my dentist asked me if i want to watch the procedure..may monitor kasi dun sa harap but i declined kasi parang mas matatakot ako    before leaving the clinic he prescribed analgesics and antibiotics..balik ulit ako ng sunday tapos wednesday uli next week for the crown.

^ Ambilis Congrats! Hehe. Don't hesitate to tell your dentist though kung may sakit ka pang nararamdaman few days after each procedure. Sabi kasi ng dentist ko dapat wala nang sakit bago lagyan ng crown.

Good thing i saw this thread. I consulted a TMJ specialist (non-Maxicare accredited) and said na kelangan muna ayusin lahat ng sira sa ipin ko bago kami mag start sa TMD treatment.

Tooth #1: 2nd lower molar sa left - needs to be root canaled. On and off ang pag sakit nya since last week so I went to see a different dentist na malapit sa house and maxicare accredited. Sabi nya din nya, for root canal na daw yun. Nakita kasi sa xray na sira na yung part na katabi ng wisdom tooth kasi medyo naka sandal yung wisdom ko sa 2nd molar.

When I went there last Wednesday, gusto nyang i-open and linisin ang loob then lagyan daw ng pang patay ng nerve then temporary filling rather than taking antibiotics. Para daw ma-treat nya yung teeth directly. Umayaw ako kasi sabi ko, kung gagawin nya yun, gusto ko may anesthesia kasi sobrang low tolerance ako sa pain. Since namamaga sya, naisip ko baka hindi rin ako talban ng anesthesia so wag nalang. 3rd day ko na ng antibiotics. Gusto ko kasi pag bumalik ako sa kanya, wala na yung maga and wala na ulit pain.

Nagdadalawang isip parin ako kung ipapa-root canal ko ba or bunot nalang. Worried ako na lumala ang TMD ko pag pinabunot ko. Kaso sobrang takot ko sa root canal! 75% of the people I asked said painless daw while the remaining said it hurt like hell!

Nabasa ko sa thread na kaya may pain parin even after anesthesia is because may pus yung tooth. Ibig sabihin ba neto, isa ako sa mga makakaramdam ng pain even after anesthesia kasi nga infected yung tooth (even if mag antibiotics for 7 days?)

Sana mabigyan nyo ako ng kaliniwan kasi sobrang naduduwag talaga ako.

Pasensya na at napa haba ang post ko. Btw, the dentist will charge me 8k daw sa molar ko na to.

Hi Sis swt_fem...My advice sis is to just deal with the pain. Ako kasi low tolerance din ako sa pain lalo na pag ngipin ang involve. Pero i've gone through RCT twice na and natiis ko naman yung sakit.Yun nga lang yung isang ngipin na naRCT nagive up na talaga kaya pinabunot ko na tapos dental implant. Hindi pa nga tapos yung buong dental implant process pero excited na ako to have my final crown loaded. Ilang years ko din kasi tiniis yung porcelain crown.
