i had the most frustrating experience today at THE FACE SHOP SM CEBU. i want to RANT! hindi ko alam if it was a mistake from the saleslady's part or she was just trying to deceive me para bibilhin ko yung product? so here's the story...

i went to TFS yesterday to buy their quick & clean bb cream based on the reviews here on GT. it would be my first time to buy a bb cream (and decided TFS ako kumuha bec. it's accessible) so i really had no idea what it looks like. i went inside the store and told the SA specifically what i was looking for. at first, she said it was out of stock. so i kind of looked upset and was about to ask when the new stocks are coming. tapos she led me to a green quick & clean tube na nag-iisa nalang sa shelf. sabi nya (in bisaya, of course) "ay teka..meron pa pala natitirang isang stock. last nalang yan." syempre i was thrilled. stupid me din kasi i used the tester at the back of my hand only and dahil sa excitement ko, i immediately bought the product. i was able to read THE FACE SHOP SUN CREAM with SPF35. parang di ko nalang din binigyan ng thought yung nakalagay dahil i trusted the SA that she was giving me what i was asking for. i haven't tried any bb creams before so i really wasn't sure what the consistency of the product was supposed to be. i went home, opened the product seal and tried it on my face.

dun na ako nagduda talaga. parang this doesn't fit what a bb cream is supposed to be based dun sa mga nababasa ko. it seemed as if i was only applying moisturizer or sunblock? teka.. SUNCREAM nakalagay sa label eh..baka this really is sunblock?! what i did is.. i researched talaga on the internet what TFS bb cream looked like and it indeed has a "BB Cream" labeled on it. i was wrong bec. i assumed that the "sun cream" written on the tube was just another label or name of the product but they really are different pala. i know that was a mistake on my part but the bigger mistake was on the SAs, don't u think? bakit pa nya binigay eh sunblock pala? i remembered being very specific yesterday!  hindi ko alam kung niloko nya lang ako or di nya talaga alam ang tinitinda nila!!! hay naku.. it's worth 500 pesos din ha. if only i poop out money or 500-peso bills everyday eh i wouldn't make  a big deal out of it. kaso..hindi eh. it is hard-earned money kaya bukas babalikan ko talaga sila and return that thing! i don't care if the receipt indicates "NO RETURNS." the heck, it wasn't my fault na palpak binigay nila! >:( >:( >:(

do you think i have the right to do that? what's the policy of return/exchange/refund about cosmetics here in the philippines, specifically dun sa the face shop? eh diba, the customer is always right naman? :D

sorry for my very long post.

do you think it's ok to return a cosmetic product even if i have broken the seal already? di ko naman siguro kasalanan diba...asking for a specific product and mali ang binigay nila?! i'll go back there tomorrow. do you think i have the right to demand for an exchange or refund?

who has tried this na?

Good:
i like the SAs in Aldo, Bayo and Schu ng Shang. Very helpful and cheerful sila.

BAD:
Mercury Drug, Shang
Nakapila ako sa counter then may isang mama na nasa may gilid lang. Inuna ng cashier. Alam naman niyang nauna ako pumila, inuna pa iyong mama. Ayun, kinausap ko manager nila. Nag sorry, di daw niya alam sino nauna.

I want to RANT about the Body shop in greenbelt...
It was way back Dec '08 last year when my cousin invited us for her bridal shower. Her theme was bed & bath. . . Sooo I decided to give her something that she can use and first thing that came to my mind was BODY SHOP. I was looking around and thinking what to give her, at first the SA was indeed very helpful ask siya kung pang xmas gift daw ba, then sabi ko pang bridal shower. Then i saw this one corner na naka SALE yung ibang items nila. Sooo i decided what if i get from here na lang much cheaper kasi last stock available na lang. ok na sana kasi nga my mga choices na ko, when I called the SA para humingi ng stock na gusto ko sabi ba naman niya "wala na yan, yang tester na lang natira". Nakaka bwisit parang medyo iba na tone ng boses niya kasi i turn down her initial offer?! kapal niya parang pinipilit niya talagang ipa bili yung set na mahal. My mom then called me kasi meron siyang suggestion bath set naman. ok [textspeak!], pero hindi na ko makapag decide sa inis. so sabi ko sa mom ko ikaw na nga lang bahala naasar na ko. Then my mom picked the set she suggested me to have. Nagulat ako kasi 1,400 siya to think naiba lang ang packaging and my kasama lang na loofa. . .
. . palitan niyo to. Ano ba namang icancel niyo lang yung item. Even yung manager nung una ayaw niya. Pero when my dad ask her [textspeak!] tumawag tayo sa opisina niyo. . . nakakahiya pero nakakainis talaga yung nangyari! ! ! after that incident i got pissed off with BODY SHOP na. . .

Unfortunately Cherub.Rock I doubt you can still return the sun cream, kahit sa mga clothes pag wala na yung tag you can't return anymore.  Naloko din ako before ng shop sa landmark naman, I wanted a different size and the SA convinced me na kunin yung smaller size that fits pero I can't breathe.

To cut the long story short, I was told by her superior to wash the jeans and luluwag, lo and behold, as I expected hindi naman lumuwag so now I'm stuck with a pair of jeans na masikip. My bad!

to be fair to SAs naman, if they're difficult, it's probably because in general, they don't want to be SAs, you know what i mean? it's not the easiest job in the world. standing all day, being obligated to be nice, serving people. it must be daunting din. so i think, in order to mask their frustrations, they have this tendency to act all superior or siguro sa sobrang inis at pagod, they rush their customers. there aren't a lot of people who are fond of this gig. ganun talaga. also, may mga customers din naman kasing swangit at makulit to the point na masarap sakalin. saka dapat maintindihan din ng mga tao na while they are paid to assist us, we don't any right to be rude to them or boss them around. kaya nga assistant eh. taga-tulong lang. end of the day, problema mo yang shina-shopping mo harhar.

sis binalikan ko talaga kanina dahil nasasayangan ako dun sa product which i cannot use. i explained it to the SA and told her i wanted a refund. pero hindi talaga pwede cash refund so i opted to exchange it for another product nalang na mas magagamit ko pa. they allowed it naman. parang yun ang policy nila? so add lang ako ng konting amount and exchanged it for a liquid foundie.

anyway, ok naman transaction kanina. they hear out my side and kahit papaano satisfied na ako sa produckto na nakuha ko this time around. i expected the worst kanina (ewan ko..nakakabadmood lang. waste of time & hassle pabalik2x ng mall) but when i got there, ok naman. they listened to my explanation and assisted me sa anong kukunin kong replacement. =) kaya thank God.

sis mooncake.. we get it naman. ako i treat SAs fairly and properly basta polite lang din sila and not very invasive. personally i never belittle them. it's a decent, honest-paying job. i aslo don't expect excellent service all the time..but minsan talaga may mga SAs na hindi mo ma-gets ang attitude. could they just at least be courteous nalang and huwag na mang-insulto ng customer kagaya ng mga stories na nababasa natin dito? ok fine..mahirap ang trabaho nila but aren't all jobs? to think mas mahirap pa trabaho ng nurses sa kanila ha..more exhausting & risky. point is, it's not about the nature of the job but your attitude towards it. sana nga i-seminar pa ng mas mabuti ang mga SAs by their superiors. may responsibility din managers nila. anyway, satisfied customers give them credit where credit is due. so i think it's only fair. hindi naman lahat puro negative nalang.

napahaba na ulit yata post ko. :)

this is one of my pet peeves. I just wanted to understand why they do that! Sinasabi ba talaga sa training nila to follow people around? Anong purpose nun?

@happie 7 days SM at Landmark return policy BUT no cash refund. receipt lang sya, parang GC style. ishop mo within the day.

@mkasj_rn may quota kasi ang store everyday, sa ledonne 20K a day. so dapat malalaki items iush nila sa client.

wala pa naman akong bad experience with SAs. sa fitting rooms lang. ayaw na ayaw ko yung fitting room na kurtina lang ang pintuan at wala pang hook. last week i was fitting this dress tapos biglang may babae na nagbukas! ugh. hate it talaga.

I think ibang usapan naman yung kaya nagsungit ang saleslady eh dahil unang nagsungit at nakakabwisit at bossy yung customer.

As for them not really wanting to be an SA, well, lots of people are stuck in jobs they don't like and that includes the customers or people who shop.  Halos lahat naman talaga ng work mahirap.

kaya nga ang bottomline: "be nice, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle"..walang excuse ang pagsusungit.. :D

I was looking for a triangular pencil for my daughter.

^ my sentiments exactly, sisses. I hate it when they hover and invade on my personal space. I'm like, get the f*ck away from me, when I need help, you'll know.  >:(  ;D

Conversely, I hate being met with blank stares & thereafter being told that what I'm looking for ain't there without any effort to check the stockroom or to find out what exactly am I talking about.   :P

This one's kinda OT, but I'll share it anyway. This happened at SM Supermarket Sta. Rosa (Laguna). Dito lang kami namimili ni hubby. I just got so frustrated sa klase ng service nila. Victim kasi kami ng pick-pocket dun. We reported it to one of the sales person na malapit sa amin then sinabi nya sa superior nya, which is an employee of SM at hindi tenant lang. You know what she said? "Ah talaga po?" then gave us a smile. Grabe, yun lang ang makukuha namin. Eh hindi man lang nag-effort pumunta sa security personnel to report that a pick-pocketer is on the loose. Grabe talaga. Wala ba silang CCTV?
