when I shop, I look around first but I always end up buying at Zara, Mango, Dorothy Perkins, Topshop, Levi's, H&M, Cotton On. pag wala na talaga dito yung mga gusto kong bilhin, I'd go to Bayo. sometimes, I buy sandals at SM or Landmark.

for bags, I always go for Louis Vuitton or Gucci. pag di pa mashado carry ng budget, I'd buy at Zara pa rin.

sunglasses & eyeglasses, dapat talaga branded 'to.

bras & panties, I always buy Triumph & recently, I discovered Cotton On's undergarments, nice quality and good fit.

shoes, branded talaga dapat coz it lasts longer. kahit yung shoes na nabili ko 3 years ago, ni minsan, yung takong di pa nasisira.

jewelry, I don't buy at shops or botiques. I buy at Greenhills especially pearls kasi dun talaga good quality on a reasonable price. you just have to know how to buy such jewelry & from who to buy it.

Sis, cotton on- as in Australia's Cotton on Body?

Agree ako dyan sis, cheap na- good fit pa.  Imagine a bra just for AUD10.00 when on sale.  I wore mine for 2 years na, great fit talaga.  Bra straps doesn't fall off and if they say- cleavage boost- it really is!

sorry OT.

Branded shoes and jeans. Everything else H&M or for dirt cheap.

True, yung nabili ko sa Tutuban mas matibay pa at nag last compared sa nabili ko sa SM. Have you tried the latest clothes from SM? Horrible worksmanship.

ay eto sis, agree ako dito from my experience! I bought one shirt sa sm dept. store, at first suot, ok pa...but after i handwashed it, patay na! pakiramdam ko numipis yung tela.. and in addition pa, from my experiences of their shoes and sandals, the parisian ones, sus! nung naglakad ako minsan sa kalsada, at naulan, after ilang hours, i found out, sira na sya agad! natanggal yung dikit.. horrible talaga!  :o

clothes - i can buy anywhere kahit sa tiangge wag lang sa ukay ukay. kaya lang napansin ko kase na pag sa tiangge ako bumibili, hinde nagla-last talaga ang quality. I usually buy from Bayo, Kamiseta, Plains and Prints and Mango pero if I see a really nice piece from a tiangge stall, I would still go for it.

Shoes - Same with my clothes but yon nga hinde lasting ang quality. Buti na lang hinde ako nagre-repeat kagad ng shoes kase mabigat ako maglakad and madale masira ang shoes kapag ina-araw araw ko sya. Pag may cute sa tiangge, go lang pero if I want na maganda talaga ang design and quality I would go for VNC, charles and keith, nine west, and janylin. I also like Parisian which is an SM department store brand kase mura and ok naman ang designs.

Watches - branded talaga to dapat

Make up and skin care - I can scrimp on everything else but not this. I have really sensitive skin kase so I usually spend on finding good brands.

Bags - I don't go crazy spending on super expensive bags. Mostly I go for nine west, mango, charles and keith and sometimes if there's something really nice at SM department store.

Pants - most of the time hinde branded cus i always get a nice fit sa chilly papa

accessories - not branded at all. basta if i see something nice lang.
Whatever I want, I get. If I can't, I don't stop TRYING.

i have a pretty good mix of branded and non-branded items. mas di ako bumibili branded dati but now that i earn my own money, i don't have any problem splurging on branded stuff from time to time. i also lost a significant amount of weight this year (yay) so i pretty much have to replace my wardrobe. it is now mostly a matter of being able to buy retail kasi nagkakasya na ako.

tops: most of the time department store/168... mayrong bench and bayo, but i recently bought higher end brands this year... zara/fox, etc pero kaunti lang.

jeans/pants: may pairs ako galing 168. there are some good finds naman na tumatagal galing don. others are branded na pero di masyado mahal. on sale na levi's and mga on sale na bayo pants hehe...

bags: may branded, may di branded...

accessories: don't have that many accessories pero mas tiangge than branded.

shoes: dito ako mas maarte ngayon. dati, i settle for tiangge shoes pero now mas branded na. from sneakers to sandals 90% branded... pero kasi mas afford ko na siya ngayon.

undergarments: branded at matibay dapat... wacoal, triumph. locally, so-en. i bought marks and spencer for the first time this year and i'm loving them.

for me, it's a matter of liking the design and it's my style tapos kaya kong bayaran hehe...

kaya naman ako bumibili ng mahal na shirts kasi yung mga local na spandex na mukhang okay sana kasi mura, it's either nagshi- shrink or talagang kumukupas. basta nagmumukhang losyang yung damit. siguro mga 10k nagastos kakabili sa the limited, liaison at get laud plain tees pero i end up giving 'em all away so bumili lang ako ng ilang dorothy perkins na plain, mas okay naman. so in a way, mas nakakatipid ka kasi isang bilihan lang kesa bili ka ng bili.

make- up, hindi na. di kasi pwedeng pang- theatre. and besides, addiction naman. tsaka minsan, yung mga local make- up, it's either nagiistain or nagbebreak out ako so di na ako bumili. ni hindi nga ako nagiisplurge sa local make- up kasi sayang din. pero eyeliners, local binibili ko sa ever bilena at fashion 21. okay naman kasi ang eyeliners ng local brands. :)

Nothing ostentatious. I buy things from all over- ukay-ukay, tiangges, bazaars, department stores and few boutiques here and there. I wont deny I dont own branded items and I do gravitate toward certain stores when shopping since indeed there are some brands that are known for their good quality, designs and workmanship. But may price ceiling ako...around 3k-6k max for individual items. Anything more I find too lavish and within that price range naman I can find something of good quality be it makeup, apparel, shoes or bags. I dont think I can justify lavish spending as "its worth it naman" or "I deserve it." because truth be told, I find it unjustifiable kahit kaya namin. Ewan ko, I wasn't raised to aspire for branded luxury items.
Pag watches naman or jewelry, thats a different story since these can be heirlooms and can be passed on so when the opportunity arises, I wouldn't hesitate to buy items like these.

Yes, I like very expensive things, I like luxury.

Same here.

And like others, or unlike others (choose your wild ika nga) -- I do not buy just because it is branded.

I choose my brands.
It must have consistently high quality and "classic-potential".

Quality is sometimes just the criteria, though.
Like, I do not feel bad when I use Johnson's Milk Bath.
And independent studies have established that a certain Pond's product performed better than a La Mer product -- so I get that.

Why do I go for certain expensive brands?
Coz once I am convinced a brand's products are timeless and durable, plus endowed with fine craftsmanship and superior materials -- I am a loyal customer.
Basically kasi wala ako masyadong time to go shopping around.
Let's face it -- if people are willing to pay so much for a certain brand's products -- well, that is a strong indicator that it is a good investment.

Oh but I stay away from items that shout:  brand!
Like those tacky  shirts with "A/X" printed on the entire t-shirt front.  Sample lang ha, nothing personal.. bato bato sa langit etc etc etc.

brands dont define me i go with what fits and stay away from certain too common and wear-my-name-outhere creations. pero to be a die hard fan of everything branded nah. i dont get it.  often times i become impulsive when i see something i like, what catches my attention or pleases my eye regardless of the brand pero yun i have preferences still who to get and not.

i grew up not getting hooked on labels  and thought if i became their walking billboard they should be paying me and all their consumers hehe its mileage for them still. some kasi kahit na mamahalin pangit naman talaga and seeing everyone aspiring for the same or having the same whatev cheapens the whole brand concept. i like keeping it simple. id spend more on comfy shoes and my pampa-gan-da.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection. The Lovers, the Dreamers, and Me.

I am a catch, and I am not going to be the one to get away.

You should never settle for who you are.

i'm trying to be.

i used to be quantity over quality before but I end up wasting my money and the quality is not that good.

Now, i am trying to look for stuff that will surely last. Like for clothes, it does not matter if I wear them repeatedly but what matters to me is the good quality and class. I do not have any particular brand but I am looking for things that will benefit in the future, not just today. Those are what I am treasuring. Lean but mean.

i own clothes/shoes that are branded, pero some are not, di ako mashado particular as long as they fit nicely, im fine with it.

sa bags, im happy with harajuku lovers, tokidoki and pop artsy stuff, nothing luxurious like hermes and the like. :P ill leave those brands to my mom.. :)

i own pieces from LV, CHANEL and Hermes, pero all are gifts lang. and i dont get to use them.. :P

it depends.  like for shoes, bags and clothes na i know i'll be using a lot, i make sure i buy from brands that are really known for their quality and durability.  pero not all cheap brands are panget or madaling masira at the same time, not all "branded" stuff are okay.

i had cole haan shoes in college na super sakit sa paa, swear.  i have clothes naman from sm dept store that have lasted me for years.  so sa totoo lang, depende talaga sa situation.

also, the price tag makes a difference din.  if it's 10t up na for something that's not branded, i wouldn't hesitate shelling out a few more thousands for a branded item na.

but just like some here, i also like luxury.  who wouldn't?  specially if you can afford it diba?  ang problem ko lang, hindi lahat i can afford kaya i try to make wise choices in the things i buy.

aquacharly: true. i don't like shirts that say "look at me i'm a branded tee!" like terranova, mango and a/x.

but i like how lacoste would put it. a simple crocodile logo says a lot. :P

^i agree with you sis. i also stay away from clothes/shirts/bags that is just screaming with brand-name. i refuse to be a walking billboard.

a small, subtle logo will do. ;)

local brands like kamiseta, P and P etc pero yung intl brands, i only own 1 mango watch and a VS bag.

so i guess local brands, branded ako, simple because I can't afford those high end brands.

It depends... I'm more on the style & quality. My iba kasing damit, branded nga ng nipis naman at parang feeling ko makikita ko lang din sa tabitabi na binebentang mura.
I do my thing and you do yours. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations, and you are not in this world to live up to mine. You are you and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, then it is beautiful. If not, it can't be helped.
