Nung nasa Harajuku kami first itme ko makita ang anak kong mag hoard ng clothes. Dito nung mong makasama sa shopping ang anakers ko pero dun para siyang nakawala sa kural! hahahahaha!

 From what I see, Japanese are fond of loud colors in Fashion,( contrary to their homestyle choice of colors,puro earth colors) some are into Gothic style, meron din sa mga Koreans.

Hee~ seems like we have alot of generalizations and preconceived notions about Japanese and Korean fashion pala. Like pag sinabing Japanese = kakaiba, pag korean = pacute. Not necessarily.

For Japanese fashion, check out magazines like Cancam, Vivi, and Nylon Japan. Yung fashion dun is not limited to a certain "subculture". Para kasing yung subculture yung mas sumisikat sa mundo kasi mga papansin naman talaga members ng certain subcultures sa Japan.

PS. May bagong model ang CanCam magazine si Maryjun Takahashi, she's half pinay. I totally dig her look!

Sa Korean naman, it's not always pa-cute rin naman e. Tingnan natin yung mga korean bands pati mga actresses. ngayon, they don some really high end brands and designers. Palagi silang merong theme/image, sometimes cute (Like Sandara), some pretty (like Song Hye Kyo and Kim Ah Joong), others sexy (Minzy and Lee Hyori) tapos meron ding experimental (like Amber).

So I don't know. Nakikita ko kasi na may distinct differences parin ang Japanese and Korean fashion, although it's hard to put into words. I think since I'm getting a bit older (21, lol, basta di na ako teener) I'm more partial to Japanese styles na. Personally I think it can be more sophisticated.

I noticed na whenever people talk about japanese fashion, na rerestrict yung discussion sa harajuku-kei at cosplay. Japanese fashion is very broad at sobrang daming subcultures nya. Merong mga extreme talaga para sa filipino taste pero meron naman ding tamed version.
Right now ang isa sa malaking subculture I think is gyaru, shibuya-kei. And like what leetolmissjoyce said, meron din namang not so radical na aspect ang japanese version like yug mga featured nga ng cancam, anecam,with, vivi ,etc. na ang target market e gyaru and yung kung tawagin nila eh uni-style(university students) at OL/ane-style(Office ladies).

I voted for japanese kasi dun talaga ako familiar. Napansin ko na ever since I followed some of their fashion subculture eh nauuna talaga ako sa uso dito sa Philippines for 6 mos at the very least. Yung mga friends ko nawierdan sa taste ko until they realize na nauuso naman din yung iba sa mga sinusuot ko. Right now, I'm trying to sport the morigal look (which is also gaining popularity now in Japan) at madalas ako makareceive ng different reactions ng mga tao but I don't mind kasi happy naman ako sa sinusuot ko.

Anyways, I am really curious about korean fashion, kasi whenever I see Koreans parang most of their style will fall to a japanese subculture like yung mga parang get away with it clothes nila and yung mga "pacute" style I think may mga ganun din akong nakita sa Shibuya, same with boys na medyo hipoppish ang dating may makikita rin kayong ganung subculture sa Shibuya-kei.

if it's modern or real time fashion ng japanese and korean, i prefer korean fashion kasi like others say, it's more wearable. although unique din siya hindi siya, hindi masyadong OA. kasi di ba sa fashion dapat may balance, otherwise fashion victim tawag sa'yo. hehe!

Based sa observation ko, super cute & out of this world and style ng japanese, sa sobrang cute mas gusto kong sa anime lang sila makita. mejo masakit sa mata pag tao na nagsuot (esp kung everyday ganun manamit). hehe!

kung yung sinaunang panahon outfit naman ang pagbabasehan, super duper japanese ang gusto ko.

japanese fashion...palakasan ng loob suotin. although meron din naman sila na pwedeng pang everyday wear...try to look at japanese mags...cute ng mga damit nila. korean fashion..parang western style rin naman.

i love korean fashion! It's more of a girly chic and I must admit super PAGIRL ako promise! hahahah! I was in Seoul last October and grabe, super sale pa naman, lahat ng makita ko na naka-display, gusto ko bilhin! maski yung fila golf line nila for women, super love ko din. I don't really like wearing yung mga sporty na damit, pero dun lang ako nakakita ng sporty na attire pero girly pa din... lolz! maski yung the ping collection nila, haaaaaaaaaayyy... maraming pink, pati mga pasweet na kulay... can't wait to go back, panigurado shopping galore na naman ako nito. ngayon pati sa online napapabili ko... ;P

Di ako mahilig sumunod sa uso, pero I love browsing through fashion catalogues. Korean or Japanese fashion? Korean! Sis cyber_princess is right. Yung sports apparel nila may touch pa rin ng pagka-girly. Yung mga formal wear nila doesn't look stiff, parang cute pa nga. Yung Jap fashion, oh, it's kinda weird. Yung aunt ni hubby works in Japan & her daughter lives with my in-laws. So whenever she sends packages, mostly clothes & kikay stuff, I get to try them. I must say, maburloloy masyado at may pagkaweird. There are some clothes nga na never pang nagamit kasi out of this world talaga, though super uso naman daw sa Japan.

it's the best of both worlds ika nga. If you're very fond of japanese styles then go for it and so with koreans style. As long as you're comfortable wearing those outfits then no big deal kahit ano pang sabihin ng madlang people =) If it boosts your confidence then goodluck.

As for me di ako mahilig sa uso. Pero depende na rin sa mood  hehe...I'm very fond pa naman sa mga lolitas style =)...hay naku bahala na si batman as long as meron akong bangs pwede na yun xD

im checking out japanese street fashion. ibang level talaga. tumatambling ako dahil di ko makuha yung state of mind nila to put together those outfits. masyado na yatang westernized ang idea of styling ko kaya i find my style so...

i like the japanese style of loud colors and out of this world fashion.. natutuwa ako dun sa lolita nila dati.. mejo weird din pero carry ng iba so natutuwa din ako.. i love that they have their own sense of style..its like people come out of the anime world.. although meron din naman sila yung everyday clothes..

as for koreans, i love the way they layer on clothes.. mejo pagirly na pacute na sophisticated.. their way of fashion is also out of the box, out of the ordinary in a more supressed way compared to jap fashion.. too bad, we can't do layering here because of the weather..

i like japanese fashion more kasi for me their style is very classy tsaka it's edgier. it's not limited to cute girly styles, they also have minimalist clothing with few details but it still looks very unique and stylish. i like reading vivi,cutie and cancam magazines.

both are ok for me.there are certain Japanese fashion elements that I like.I like burloloys,bold colors,and loud prints.I love dresses,and Korean fashion is more of the "girly" side.
