i have not been a "girly / kikay" girl since birth -
call me tomboyish and sporty, yes. kikay, no.

i abhor spending hours and hours in the salon just to have my hair done (rebond / relax / cellophane / etc) but i figure, there would come a time when a lady would need to maximize her charms and enjoy it while she can - coz when I reach, say, 60, it may be too late -- or maybe not.

but anyway, it seems that for some kikay girls, they have some sort of a fashion icon whose styles they try to adapt..

it might be Nicole Richie, Angelina or even Michelle Obama..
so, may I ask my sisses at GTs who your Style Icons are and what specific style it is on that that you would like to "adapt"? I might get ideas from you guys.. hehe.

would really appreciate your inputs.

Am old na so no style icon but I usually like the street style fashion of Japan, HK, Paris, Australia.

i like sofia coppola. simple, understated, classy. but i also like obnoxious, in-your-face people eh. so magulo harhar. there are so many fashionable people out there now, those who aren't exactly celebrities and i find their styles much more interesting than celebs.

i love how these ladies experiment with their outfits and their d.i.y. projects...

i'm so inspired by karla right now that i've been buying blazers.

She has this effortless but chic kind of look.

She is said to be the inspiration for the character of Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girls. Siempre, many of us would prefer Blair, but it's nice to know that there is a real thing. Yeah, like her too.

I like Audrey Hepburn and Madame Coco Chanel. For contemporaries, I like Zoey Deschanel. Have you seen 500 days of summer? I am dying to get my hands on her wardrobe. It is said that the wardrobe of the female protagonist, Summer, was inspired by Zoey's style herself.

I lurk in camerafilmroll, I love her style (and how she mix and match her handful of clothes) since it is apt for our climate.

Believe it or not, I love the gowns that Dita von Teese wears (siempre, not the burlesque kind hehe).

I also like the style of the french girls..
what is it about being french and being so effortless, edgy and chic at the same time.

They can dress up in the most grungiest shirt but still look so chic.

i love rachel bilson's style. she's been my style icon for the last n years (since i started watching the OC). i also love serena van der woodsen's (played by blake lively) style in gossip girl. parang mas wearable kasi kesa sa kay blair waldorf (leighton meester). ang maganda sa styles nila, madaling pagkuhanan ng inspiration at i-modify to suit your personal needs/wants
