@nutata - I didn't intend to correct you, I was trying to provide a supplementary info.

It's an acronym, so you can say it however you want. 

What I know is, if acronym, you spell out the letters, such that:

HP is not hap, hep, hip, etc. It's H-P.
OK is not ok, it's O-K.
SAP is not sap, it's ES-A-PEE.
PETA should therefore be P-E-T-A.

Dahil hindi ako makatulog, I read the entire thread.

I saw a couple of ENGLISH words that were corrected in terms of pronunciation na hindi naman dapat - either may variation ang pronunciation ng word, or mali lang talaga ang nagco-correct. When I was in doubt, I crossed-checked the words in the dictionary (yeah, I had that much time to burn haha).

Case in point: cleavage, paella, twenty, Internet, new, due, tube, etc. Well, some of these were corrected naman.

Another observation (off-topic): Some posters used the word "slang" to refer to the American accent. Slang simply means informal language, in vernacular, salitang kalye.
