Paborito ko pa naman, mali pala ang pronunciation ko. I just learned about this a few months back. (Though hindi ko pa sya naconfirm sa dictionary)

Paella was pronounced as pa-ey-ya (silent LL) dun sa isang resto na kinainan ko.

paella is from spanish origin so tama pala yung na-post ko a few pages back na pag double LL na spanish origin, should be pronounced as 'Y'. Ex: Paella - Pa-ey-ya, Medellin - Me-de-yin

Korek yung sa 'southern'. Pronounced as 'suthern' pala sya.

Meron pang isa, 'courteous'. Bigkas ko nyan kor-chus o kaya kor-shus. 'Kurtiyus' pala sya. Yung parang Kurt Cobain ang bigkas sa kurt-iyus. Basta ganyan

honestly i dont mind if a person mispronounces a foreign word, except when he is expected to know it talaga, like if your major is english, or its your trade like a newscaster.

i dont give a damn when i hear a common tao mispronounces "cupboard" but it was a different story when i heard kris aquino did it.    ??   !!

Ge-rald (na mabagal like herald) o Gerald (na nagmamadali)

I think dapat yung mabagal. Pero nakakainis kasi sa ASAP linggo linggo nalang Gerald (na nagmamadali) yung pagbigkas nila which is panget pakinggan. Hindi ko na tuloy alam kung alin ang tama..
