haha. my officemates and i ate at this resto in glorietta years back. we pronounced the word bolognese as it should be and the waiter looked at us like we were crazy.

so for everyone's convenience we just americanize it - boh-luh-neez.

Peugeot - poo-zho - ni research ko pa sa internet how it's pronounced.

Mercedez benz - I heard some MirSEYdes.. i'm used to mersedes. Minsan chedeng pa.

Special - espesyal - Some say espeYsyal (parang siopao na speysyal), i don't know what's right but it sounded soo wrong to me.

Paris - Paris or Pai-riss.. Pero sabi ng prof ko dati dapat daw walang S. like Pairi.. Since usually, sa french pag asa dulo ang S, di na binibigkas.

Well, malay ko naman sa french. I heard on TV some say Paris, though i heard some really drop the "S".

naalala ko isang Christmas day nasa MOA ako with friends, we saw Anne Curtis and Sam Milby ice skating. Nagpanic ang mga tao at nakipag-unahang mapanood sila sa rink. Sabi nung isang girl: "Sino ba yun?"

Sagot ng guy na kasama niya: "Sina Sam Melbee daw at Anne Cortees."

i've been looking for the pronunciation ng sbarro eto nakita ko:

1. sah-bah-ro

2. parang sparrow pero b yung p

3. subarow (short u)

di ko alam yung right pronunciation

though madalas ko gamitin yung 3rd.

edit: so yung first pala ang tama.

nung isang beses, narinig ko rin sabi sa hyundai. "yandeh" parang ganyan.
