I am throwing my friend a baby shower next month...I am already a mother of 2 yet i have not been in other baby shower except mine (for my first daughter), we just had a dinner then...Dito sa Denmark, it's not a tradition that's why i wanna help my pinay friend to have one...Please share your photos, stories and any creative ideas on how we can make it special...

I plan to have my baby shower at A. Venue Suites Hotel, though usually surprise to for the mom-to-be, i want to prep it along with my bestfriends.

Since baby boy ang baby ko, and green ang designated signature color ko for him. i'm thinking of Peter Pan Theme. Something like, "The Journey to Neverland". We'll just decorate the room with green ribbons and give out Peter Pan-like leaf caps.

Foods will be cooked by us na din:
Spaghetti (1-1/2 kilo siguro)
Chicken lollipops (P139 per kilo sa SM--more than 20 daw 1kg, so mga 1 1/2 siguro)
Pizza (depende pa if ok sponsor nung isang ninong, 2 boxes siguro, but since may palm card kami 4boxes.) Alternative sa pizza would be white bread cut-outs with ham and cheese siguro.
Minicupcakes na lalagyan na lang namin ng icing
nuts, mallows and chips for finger foods

games, may mag naiisip na kami pero finalize ko pa, mga 5gmes lang siguro. isip pa din kami ng program para masaya. update ko pag may naisip pa ako.

^instead of the Peter pan theme, I'm now thinking of The Pseudo City Girl turns Cosmo Mom. I composed a poem last year kace entitled The Pseudo City Girl, and since then was labeled as such. So now, it's time to celebrate The Pseudo City Girl journey to motherhood.

My sisters gave me a baby shower but being O.C. I helped them out plan and organize the shower.

I personally made our invitations. I made the layout, had it printed (3r size) and bought 4 packs of envelopes at National Bookstore (10pcs each). I also inserted the card Rustan's gave me when we registered.

We invited friends and relatives and had the shower at the rooftop of our house. 40plus guests came and it was so much fun. My sisters prepared games and prices.

1st game: Guess the size of Mommy's belly
2nd game: Guess the baby item inside the bag
3rd game: Smell the "dirty" diaper
4th game: Bottle races
5th game: Baby business game

for the food
plain rice, pasta, ham and cheese rolls, tacos, seafood supreme, kaldereta, pork hamonado, chicken cutlets.
leche flan, fruit salad and puto bumbong for dessert
and assorted softdrinks, few bottles of beer and martini

I suggest that you register so that you will receive items that you really need and if ever you have identical items you can return it. We registered at Rustans and Baby Co. plus if you register your baby you and your guests will receive 10% discount pa.

^My cousin gave me a diaper cake. It's one of my gave gifts.  I'll try to post a picture. The diaper cake she gave me is a three layered consisting of 30pcs of newborn diapers and assorted baby items like 2 receiving blankets, 2 pairs of booties, 1 pair of rattle socks, organic stuffed toys, combi feeding set (bowl with spoon and fork), 1 teether rattle, disposable bibs, avent pacifiers, munchkin bottle brush, 26piece set of deluxe baby essential kit (nail clipper, digital thermometer, finger toothbrush etc). She asked her friend daw to help  her make the diaper cake and it's just so sweet of her to make me one pa!

Hi sisses! Si hubby kasi wanted to have my baby shower. Yung mga friends ko naman for sure magaarrange sila kaso since i love to plan parties lalo na baby shower ko. gusto ko sana ako magprepare. Ok lang kaya yun? Thanks!

^Maybe you can help them na lang.  tell them that you want to help them. Masaya din ang binibigyan ng shower since may surprises and wala ka na masyado iisipin since ganun naman talaga pag shower.

for me okay na pag 7months at least your sister has more time to prepare pa sa mga kulang niya. No-no if almost 9months na. I know a lot na hindi na umabot ng baby shower and gave birth na.

smell the dirty diaper: the game is for the participants to guess what the pretend baby poop is made from. my sisters placed melted chocolate, baby food etc.

Use whatever types of food or candy you want
Bottle Races: Materials- Baby bottles with Milk or alternate drink (we used beer).
Have each participant take a bottle filled with a liquid and suck the bottle as a baby would. The person who finishes the liquid first wins the baby shower gift.

^ wish ko din yan pero hindi ako nage-expect. ayaw ko kasi na ako mag-initiate kasi feeling ko imposing, parang forcing them to give gifts. but that's just me.

good na lang my sister is organizing a joint baby shower for me and our other sister (yes, 2 kaming pregnant, 1 week apart lang). siya naman nagkusa so ok lang.

I also wanted to throw a baby shower..my friends told me na they will prepare din daw pero madami kasi ako set of friends so gusto ko sama sama nalang para mas masaya..im looking for a place pa..gusto ko convenient sa lahat..makati ang plan ko talaga..tutulong na lang din ako siguro sa kanila..hehe

Hi sis! we got the 3 bedroom suite. Super nice sa linden. ang laki laki pa. tapos hindi sila mahigpit talaga. Super sulit! Ganda pa ng rooms

hi mga sis.  my friends threw me a shower party last july at 34 weeks age of gestation  but it wasnt a surprise party because they know im not really into surprise parties (hehe). because i found it difficult to go out of the house during my pregnancy (i would use my wheelchair which i had since the first trimester), they had it in our condo's small function room.  my friends who organized it just asked me what i wanted as a gift (i didnt get a registry na) and they brought the food, planned the games and invited my other friends (although they confirmed with me who i wanted to be there).  my hubby and i made thank you gifts.  it was so much fun.  you can check it out it my blog http://loveinmybelly.blogspot.com/2010/07/baby-shower.html
