Hello mga sisses! I'm new to this thread but i just want to share my Egypt tour experience to all of you.
Magandang place ang Egypt, that is, if you appreciate historical sites and arts. Hubby and I went to Egypt as part of our initial honeymoon tour, our first trip was in Cairo. Actually para lang shang manila at mapapansin mo yung mga cars hindi ganon ka bago esp. taxis. Tapos yung airport magulo. We booked our tour upon arival at the airport, bale 3 day tour sha, designed for us. We were able to see the Sphinx and pyramids of Giza, Sakkara, tapos city tour (kasama yung coptic Cairo(may church dun kung saan yun yung exact place kung saan nakita si Moses), national museum nila etc.), tapos next day,our driver drove us to Alexandria, another nice place! We went to the first library in the world, kaya lang nasunog na so gumawa sila ng bagong library w/c they call Alexander Biblioteca. We were able to see the Pompey's Pillar, tapos nag hang out kami sa may mediteranian see..super ganda. Tapos on our way back to our hotel, we stopped by at the papyrus center, there we bought papyrus as souvenir, and then to perfume center.
Ang advise ko lang sa mga gustong magpunta sa Egypt, never kayo bibili ng Souvenirs na kasama ang tour guide nyo kasi may cut mga TG doon and they will charge you ng doble, tapos pwede kayo tumawad, just make sure na kapag tumawad kayo sa isang item plan nyo talagang bilihin kasi ibibigay naman sa price na gusto nyo, yun nga lang magagalit sila kapag hindi mo kinuha, so kaka-konsensha din.
Last Nov. naman we went to Luxor Egypt. I must say mas makukulit at persuasive ang mga tao dito. Mas madumi yung place, daming dumi ng kabayo at donkeys sa street
pero compensated naman dahil sa ganda ng mga temples and valleys nila. We were able to stay in a hotel near Luxor temple, yung room over looking sha nung temple. Tapos we were able to visit valley of the deads (valley of the kings, valley of the queens) maganda yung mga tombs kaya dapat papasukin nyo, kaya lang may entrance bawat tomb so pili nalang kayo or ask for your TG's advise anong tomb ang magandang pasukin. Must see din ang Karnak temple, you can either go there at day time or night time para sa light and sound. Pati museum nila maganda din although hindi ganon kalaki tulad nung nasa Cairo, pero ok na rin, actually may isang mummy din na nandon, forgot kung sinong king yun
pero kaka amazed talaga on how they preserved their mummies. Kung mummies naman ang trip mo, may mummification museum din sila and doon makakakita ka ng diff. mummies and makikita mo kung paano at ano ano ang mga tools na ginagamit nila sa pagma-mummify. Maganda din puntahan ang Hatshepsut Temple (pwedeng isabay sa valley of the dead tour).
Best place to visit Egypt is during winter...say late November - Febrary, otherwise sunog kayo sa init.
