There were no invites sent out... just reminder texts... apparently, it was "open to the public" since Day 1.

Guess who was there busily snapping up stuff?  Ruffa Gutierrez!  She was busy pointing... this, that, this, that, this, that.... it was fun watching her enjoying herself.

No Birkins available for viewing... coz nga before the team left for Paris -- ang haba na nang order lists... and what they were able to bring back or sent over -- were earmarked as per the listing na.  The earliest anyone will get a Birkin from that store is "in the Fall".  Ha!  May Fall na rin tayo.

Sabi ni Mario Katigbak, the prices are same as in Europe.  BUT of course, hindi ko na kinulit -- what about our local luxury tax?  15% nga ba or 20% na for designer goods?

I put down my black birkin (kasi nataranta ako trying on a very fine chiffon scarf -- P49thou.  Eh nakatulog ako that night, so ibig sabihin, hindi ko kelangan buy.  LOL) -- and may nag comment:  meron pala Birkin sample.  Bakit kanina ayaw pakita?  LOL.

Also, that famous doctora (you know who) inquired as to the hardest color to get hold of, in regular leather (she won't buy daw in croc. sabi, for now siguro    ) -- ang sagot sa kanya  eh "yellow". 
Another interesting info -- it is the croc Birkin that takes long to get hold of.  Like, ask them for any color, and you will have better chances of getting it than a croc.
(I saw Doree? Doyee? Taktakan wearing her matte purple croc Birkin at Rockwell.  Wow, parang wala lang on her arm. )
 
Their leather samples will be coming in sometime Feb pa.
The way it works -- if you order, best you put in 3 choices.  IF the 1st choice is not available,  they may give your other choices.

I am still holding out for a royal blue.
If I do not get that, I will wait (hopefully not as long as "Waiting for Godot".    )
I will be informed by Feb if there is hope for a royal blue in the near future (that translates into 1-2 yrs more or less, for Birkins).
Baka suertehin ako uli.  Kesyo before kesyo discontinued daw the black with gold hardware.  5-7 years na daw.  Tapos, I must have been 1 of the 1st ones to get hold of one when Hermes discontinued the "discontinued".  So sana that royal blue comes back soon too.

Hehe, I brought a Balenciaga Day bag inside Hermes store the other day wearing t-shirt and jeans.

I felt like a "massa".....hehe. But heck, they dunno me.

Women buying  there are dressed very properly.

as for me... still not attracted to hermes... maybe in another 10yrs  i can probably start saving now... and get on the list...

Yes they still produce a white in 35cm. Although my advice to you is if you do get your hands on a white Hermes bag make sure that the leather you get is either in Togo or clemence as these two leathers dont show as much wear as swift leather. Also white has a high incidence of color transfer from dark denims and clothes.
My favorite color that I have is my Jaune (yellow) and cyclamen (magenta) both in 35cm. My holy grail though is a fuschia or a rose shocking 35. Yun na lang and Im done with H. I was being offered by my personal H shopper but the price was a staggering $17k!!!

After so much contemplation, i decided na white and yellow birkin na ang gusto ko.Im so inggit kasi sayong yellow birkin sis.GANDA.I think pag naging 5 na birkin ko ill be contented na.HOPE SO.

Its Doyee Tactacan Tumpalan of Natasha.Shes a good friend of my SIL.If im not mistaken 2-3 na ang croc birkin niya.More or less around 20 na yata hermes collection niya.

As far as i know base sa nababasa ko sa mag and some friends working in showbiz annabelle has 5 birkins.I dunno with ruffa.Gretchen and Ruffa Mae i think more than 20 hermes bags nila including tig-isang croc birkin.Sharon has 1 dozen of birkins including 2 croc birkins.Ive seen some of Sharon's birkin in mano po 6.Like sis sabster magaganda din kulay.Mouth watering talaga.

I got a chance to stop by the Hermes store last weekend.  As expected, no Birkins on the shelves.  There was a Lindy and I think a Victoria (could vividly remember the blue Lindy on display but not so much the Victoria...  "lola moment" na naman ako  ).  The SA told me their Birkins had been sold out way before the store opened.  Aquacharly was right, they had pages of wait list already as early as the first quarter of 2009.  I asked about the rouge 35cm in togo leather as I've been dreaming of it.  No idea yet how long the wait would be.  The SA said the Manila prices are almost the same as the HK prices.  The 35cm togo is around PhP480K which is not bad... much lower than the resellers / importers.
