Cherry Mobile: Uber Cheap Dual Sim Cellphones

I bought two phones from Cherry. The first one was A5  (qwerty + tv phone). It was cute, a lot of  people loved how it looked plus crystallized yung keypad which is good for my sweaty hands. However, ang bilis masira ng headset and charger nila. Tapos single port lang siya. This phone lasted for about 2 years. Nasira siya kasi my aby spilled milk all over it.

Dahil biglaan yung pagkasira ng phone ko and I badly need a phone right away, bumili ulit kami sa Cherry. W1 naman binili ko. Touch phone na wi-fi ready na. 3 days pa lang simula ng bilhin ko yun, nagkahabagat. My son threw my phone sa baha mismo. (Makulit talaga yung baby ko). Nalubog yung phone for 5-10 minutes before we recovered it. I left it turned off for two days. Then nung buksan ko, Ok na ok as if no damage was done. The problem was minsan ayaw ng "reply" command sa text message. When I browsed sa net, yun din ang problem ng mga W1 users. I resorted to Conversation mode para lang makapagreply ako.

Kung tipid ka, Cherry is good but I swear, next time Either Samsung or Iphone nalang bibilhin ko para mas matibay.

P9 ata yung dati kong fone. Yun ba yung may qwerty keypad at trackball?

Definitely mura siya and in fairness tumagal naman yung fone ko for around 2 years. BUT mararamdaman mo talaga na nagtipid sila sa hardware. Ibang iba yung performance sa branded phones at pangit pa yung OS ng P9 (kung yun nga yun ha).

Feature-wise and performance-wise, bitin na bitin. May wifi nga, ang hina naman sumagap, Yung web browser, lumang luma. May TV tuner naman siya, which is kind of neat na rin naman, pero ang dali naman makaubos ng battery. Also, sira na siya ngayon. So sakto lang 2 years na life niya. Di na bumubukas at all ngayon.

For me, naging good enough lang siya as a call-and-text phone,  not really a smart phone.

Personally, I'm no longer as impressed with this brand as before, given na alam ko sa hardware pa lang, mahina na. You get what you pay for, I guess. Pero advise ko lang, if you can spend a little more, go for samsung/htc/nokia/lg na lang. Or convert from capex to opex and subscribe to a plan na may free (branded) phone. For plan 350 ata, may samsung galaxy y na. mas sulit pa yun.

It's crazy how some of these phones are way less expensive than the toys we buy for our kids and inaanaks. There's a sale right now so i got one of those TV phones to play with. Thinking of taking it apart and putting it back together again lol. Does anyone else have the D15TV? Feedback please?

^I have D12TV and I love it! I even brought it to Tagaytay on a retreat (I know, bad! LOL) and I was able to watch my fave soap. Only trouble is, you need to keep bringing your charger.

i got candy tv which is ok naman android phone with tv for just 3k san ka pa

I got myself CM flare, super sulit! So far ang problema ko pa lang ay yung battery, but its so common sa smartphones and android. Now i understand na yung rave sa phone na to.

^ So many folks nga were asking about the Flare sa CM store (habang nakikigulo ako doon haha) pero out of stock that time. I looked it up and ang ganda ng specs sa price point. Sana durable ang CM phones lalo na their smart phones.

Super sulit ang CM flare!  meron na rin ako nito, ganda pang games at pang net para kang naka iphone or other high end smartphones jan dahil sa specs nya (pero iba padin syempre yung mga mamahalin).. Mga games na nainstall ko free from google playstore are little dragons, tiny village, tower defense, smurf village, angry birds, temple run, fruit ninja, ovenbreak, ben10 saka drag racing.. Kabog na kabog ang samsung mini na 7k na nabili nung january 2012. Sobrang sulit na talaga sa halagang 4k, naka dual core ka na. Problema ko lang din Battery, mabilis malowbat..

gusto ko ng flare! huhuhu. wala na sa cherry mobile branches sa sm north and sm san lazaro. ittry ko sa kiosk nila sa circle c tomorrow.

Arrrggghhh sis yung pink nga ang gusto ko! Kaso parang sayang pera kahit mura lang kasi I'll probably use it for just a couple of weeks then sawa na.

Yung cherry mobile flare type ko yun.. Mura sya, dual core, dual sim, dual cam pa! Kaso baka naman masayang lang 4k ko kung madali rin lang masisira.. Sa palagay nyo mga sis okay kaya yumg unit na yun? Kasi may type din ako sa sony ericson, yung xperia neo L 8,800 php nalang kasi kay kimstore yun pero kung mas okay ang cherry mobile flare (durability and specs) eh yun nalang bibilihin ko...

sis maganda naman din un given na dual core kaso sabi ng kapatid ko ma lag daw and kasi hindi sya multi touch 2 touch point lang ata.. may year warranty naman so hindi ka na rin talo

naku pinatos ko na yung kiosk ng cherry mobile sa may Circle C Congressional Ave sis. Bale Flare + Screen Pretector + Jelly Case of color choice + CM C2 (maliit na phone) = 4999. Ayun. Pero ok na rin ako kasi i really like it. ang ganda kasi ng specs saka ng camera. dun talaga ko uber natuwa.

i'm gonna buy 2nd hand CM flare sa SIL ko.. 20 days pa lang sa kanya yun. Need lang talaga kasi niya ng pera. Bilhin ko siya ng 4k, may extra case, may applications na rin.

question po.. paano kung walang fm radio yung CM Flare. kasi sabi nila pwede daw magkaroon basta ma-upgrade siya. Pwede ko ba dalhin sa Cherry Mobile store if ever kahit di ko naman sa kanila talaga binili yung fone?
