Depende sa business mo on how you'll market it.

If they're in the mall, sa mall ka din.

First, you need to clarify kung sino ang target market mo. Then, you can figure out where they're hanging out.

I want to start my own business but I don't know how to start...
I was thinking of actually taking a business course to help me have structure in it pero I'm not sure if it will be helpful. What do you think mga sis?

definitely..makakatulong... yung business course...at least mag guide ka kung ano gagawin mo..
ika nga eh...you need to learn in order to earn...

In my case naman, gusto gusto ko mag attend ng mga workshops on business setup..but since I do not have enough funds..ginagawa ko eh...basa basa lang ng mga blogs ng mga may experience na in doing business...and so far naman it helped...

Pano ba magbenta ng business? we have our cakes, cupcakes, chocolates business.

Nagtraining ang mom ko so wala ata silang funds for that.

Thanks for the tip sis! Pm kita sis! Thanks!

Think where your interests are and find a market for that.  I started small, 5k lang in 2009, pabili lang sya for goodies in Korea kasi I lived there until 2012.
Through trial and error nakita ko alin ang mabenta. Then there came a time na sobrang dami nang nagbebenta ng kroean beauty products so I shifted gears, naghanap ako ng mga pwedeng ioffer na services at product lines na wala
pang nagooffer. I realized ang gusto ko talaga sa biz is the part where I get to hunt out (and try) new things to introduce to clients. So ayun, since ayoko ng daily work na nagiinvoice, naguupdate ng site etc, kumuha ako ng fulltime assistant
to do the things I don't want to do.  So far, since 2009 buhay pa ang shop ko. Umalis na ako ng Korea and moved to Europe pero my loyal clients are still with me. Nakakatuwa and nakakaaliw.  So overall, you have to know yourself, alin
ang strength mo (ako kasi magaling maghanap ng bagong items na iooffer sa target market ko), then the things you can't do or don't want to do, you delegate to capable people.  Partida, yung aking small business is sideline lang hahaha, as I work fulltime in a total unrelated field.

Also, be prepared to leave your "hangin" or "hiya" when you become an entrepreneur.  Kasi you will have palpak transactions lagi, but know how to correct a mistake fast and cleanly. I realized that the only thing you have to do to appease a client is to come out clean, admit it when you make mistakes, and try to make up for them. Clients, in general, appreciate sincerity and honesty.
Tawa lang ako, they do not understand how buying
hard to find goodies for clients, and filling in a need in the market makes me oh so happy.

When I started my small biz akala ko when I leave Korea, I will end it na rin, pero it turns out once you have some sort of system na you can pivot your small biz kahit saan ka pa mapadpad.

So go lang! Yes, start small, read, read, read but do not follow the biz advices blindly.  Know thyself, then adapt your biz to what will work for you, your lifestyle and personality.

Ayan, mahaba na haha! Sorry!

I prefer China 'coz I know someone shipping from China at lower cost. Any tips po how can I find a good supplier and ano po kaya ang sale-able products to sell?

To have an idea what to sell...

Visit Amazon, ebay, and other popular e-commerce sites.

These sites normally have like "best sellers" list or "most popular". They call it differently but means the same.

Then, brainstorm from the list what you'll sell.

KEY POINT: Do not attempt to sell a product because you like it.

Sell products because THEY (your customers) like it.

^Actually sis I think, it's a balance.  Sometimes customers don't know they'd like something until you introduce these items.

I, myself, I introduce goodies that I've tried myself. But when clients request for something I also try to understand why it's a hit.

IMO,  Selling or retail is a balance between catering to your customers wants and knowing where to market what you can offer :-)

perhaps one of the most important tips i ever got was to always project ahead
your operating expenses. lalo na yun mga fixed costs such as rent, salary, etc.

so compute muna if feasible ba talaga...

most businesses just thrive within the first year of operations.
lucky na talaga pag puro profit agad.
so be sure that you have room for adjustments, and extra money
na pwede pang-paluwal muna.

:)

posted some other time dito..  Nung startup palang yung cake business namin. Mahirap walang kita walang nagiinquire.

Pero as of now ok na kami. Nakaka 2 orders kami per week. We started out sa isang customer malapit samin. Birthday party yun.

Basta do your best to deliver quality service at by referral kikita ka. :)

May client pa kami na naging middle man.

Basta never loose hope.. Your time will come din. Pray lang lagi:)
Hopefully by next year sa wedding naman kami :)

golden rule: never give up ;D

once you're in and you feel like it isnt working, dont take it seriously and give it all up all the way... you must give a reasonable time for a certain business to be established.

and dapat before starting a business, you must have studied your target market well, and the probability ng success.  when you have convinced yourself that your business plan has potential to succeed, go get it!

Never look back!

Ganun kasi sa business, parang sugal, everything is a risk... so dapat maging wise sa pagpili ng business industry na papasukin, small or big, dapat pinagiisipan mabuti. so as to minimize the chances na malugi or whatnot.

anyone who isnt ready taking risk isnt ready getting into business. it's that easy principle.  all business minded sisters will surely agree with me.

been there, done that....

could not agree more.

inspiration ko ang eng bee tin..palugi na halos pero nagpursige look at their business now it's really worth it.

i am planning to venture into business pero sosyo muna..food business ito...hindi lang para sa sarili ko kundi para sa siblings ko para magkawork sila...i am starting to pray for it.
