We know from Farhampton that Ted's hand is bandaged at the end of the wedding day. In a way that pretty much only happens from a fight (I assume. It feels like bandaged knuckles are usually TV code for "this guy was just in a fight.") Anyway, maybe someone else remembers that spoiler from a few months ago that I can't find now where they said there's a secret revealed on the wedding day that involves Ted and Robin (maybe it's related to the Victoria thing finally coming out? who knows) - that creates a problem for Robin and Barney. TPTB have stated that the wedding doesn't go as planned but that BARNEY DOES get married. 

Related: whatever happened to "Kids, this rule is so important I'm going to tell you now instead of waiting until the end of the story: never invite an ex to your wedding?" Continuity has never been their strongest suit, but that one was such a key plot point - and making an ex YOUR BEST MAN is such a clear violation of that rule - that I'm guessing it's got to play a role here.

So the wedding break up the gang for a little bit (which would give Ted a chance to bond with the mother outside of the codependent circle of friends). And so kids, that's the story of how Uncle Barney and Robin got back together and how i MET your mother. LOL. (How i met kasi e, so di pa niya na-me-meet.) O baka naman nanay ng kids yun pero hindi si Ted ang tatay, kwinekwentuhan lang niya yun kids. Uncle lang din pala siya o babysitter

BUT really, the show built up the image of the mother too much, sino kaya siya.. baka di na ipakita at all

Pero at the back of my mind, I still hope si Robin yung mother. Pero if not, yeah, I suppose I prefer some unknown actress.

malabo na si Robin eh, masyado ng maraming loopholes. Magwowork lang yun if hindi anak ni Ted yun 2 kids, pero tinawag siyang "Dad!" sa 2 episodes before. Kaloka manghula!

huhu di ko pa napanood yung barney robin wedding. hanggang dun  pa lang ako sa proposal. nung nagalit si robin dun akala ko panibagong habulan na naman ang mangyayari at hahaba na naman buti na lang hindi at kailangan pang umisip ng writers ng panibagong super romatic way to get robin hehe

ang galing! i searched for it kasi i can't remember din yung episode. It started sa S01E07 "Matchmaker" then continued sa S01E21 "Milk"

In the "Milk" episode, Ted gets a call from "Love Solutions" who said that they found na the perfect woman who meets all of the standards on Ted's checklist:
She liked dogs.
She spent her summers in North Carolina.
She played bass guitar.
She did The (New York) Times crossword.
She played Tennis.
She liked old movies.
Her favorite food was Lasagna.
Her favorite book was Love in the Time of Cholera.
Her favorite singer was Otis Redding.
She wanted two kids: a boy and a girl.

However, he stands her up, realizing that (at the time) he didn't want the perfect woman - he wanted Robin.

Even Robin is looking older as well, pero body wise mas toned naman katawan nya ngayon, dati pala medyo malaman sya when I watch past seasons, pero ewan ko I like her chubby (or close to it, for lack of a better term) better, than too lean.

@Antigone and unwantedP, OMG!!!!!!! thanks for sharing that hypothesis!!! hindi ko naaalala yung episodes na yun kasi nung season 1 ay di pa ko consistent manood ng HIMYM.

OMG!!!! feeling ko siya na talaga si "mother"!!!! kasi ang ganda nga ng ganung storyline - yung ka-match sa dating site na hindi pinuntahan ni Ted because he wanted Robin then. tapos ngayong ni-let go na niya si Robin, parang "destiny" gave them a second chance to meet. waaaaahhh!!!! love it!!!!!

grabe sis Antigone, i honestly absolutely think that you cracked the code. as in. feeling ko talaga. kasi built-in sa storyline sa simula pa lang (season 1). soooooo exciting!!! this is it na talaga, totoo na to.

i'm gonna watch those episodes that unwantedP mentioned.

UPDATE:

napanood ko na yung episodes 7 and 21 ng Season 1!!! siya na nga ang "mother". i'm very convinced. kasi yung characteristics nung girl na nabanggit dun eh yun yung mga "clues" na ginagamit all throughout the succeeding seasons. and yung HIMYM ay very "destiny/fate-based" ang theme so saktong sakto sa storyline. siya na nga talaga ang "mother". we just have to wait and see their meeting nila ni Ted during the wedding.
