how do u make calls to pinas

^same tayo sis. i just sent my sis a magic jack kase ok nga talaga ang magiging savings ko sa long distance. kaso mo ayaw magpakabit ng internet ng sis ko. kase nga naman ako libre tawag pero siya naman magbabayad ng monthly bill sa internet. so yung magic jack na pinadala ko ay inaalikabok na sa pinas

pero mukhang ok nga yung] magic jack noh. may US phone number ka sa pinas. yun lang, it does not apply to everyone, lalo na kung hindi tech savvy at medyo matipid ang tinatawagan mo =)

i realized kasi na yung mga phone cards, some of them are misleading na kahit sabi nila 30 mins yung value ng binili mo, most of the time wala pang 30 mins, ubos na.

I am in Canada and I use Times Telecom when calling on the Philippines. I know they also offer long distance calls from USA, Australia etc. You can check out their website.

may limit pala ang magic jack? i didn't know that.

^ really! sayang noh. di ko pa kasi alam yung referral nila when I found out about it. May narefer lang akong isa so medyo lower ang rate ko 

what I meant was, ayaw din kasi magbayad ng mother ko ng internet bill kaya sinabi kong matipid yung mother ko. Kasi syempre dapat may internet sya para gumana yung magic jack. I think walang limit yun with regards to calls. Maybe yung meron dito can give you more info

I dont call that much kasi my only family left in Pinas is my mom. She calls me and we do talk often through email and YM. Sa mga friends ko naman, we communicate through FB and email so no need na talaga to call.

But i call at least once a week to talk to the caretaker ng house. Tapos, pinag-YM ko siya with videocam so i can see my pets!!! I need to see na pinapakain yong mga alaga kong pusa. I need to see na hindi ina-abuse physically. Pinapa-touch ko sa kanya yong katawan ng mga cats ko all over kasi baka may hidden wound. If i see my cats twitching ... then magagalit ako.

I posted earlier endorsing OWTEL. I closed my account upon discovering how exorbitant their rates were. You'll get hooked by the Low per minute rates but with all the taxes and the monthly fees they charge you, it all piles up.

For those who have parents that are not internet savvy and would rather hear your voice on the phone, I recommend google voice. It's only 11cents per minute, no taxes, no hidden fees.  All you do is set up an account and you can purchase credits online. It's so easy. And I can vouch 100% that there are no hidden fees because I've been monitoring my calls. You can see your balance right away.

I don't know why google hasn't been endorsing this service, but it's really great.

Before we do via Skype, and then now through Facetime na lang. Pang-asar lang minsan yung quality ng connection since via internet connection.
