mga sis,
about SLEEVELESS:
i went to DFA last week for renewal kasama ko si baby for her 1st passport at 10month old. sa sobrang kalituhan ko, tinanggal ko ang cardigan ko at naiwan sa kotse.  naalala ko nalang nung magpapa picture na ako...  Aba!  hindi naman ako sinita, parang wala lang all the while na naka sleeveless ako...  safe parin wag mag sleeveless or you should cover up.

Mga sis,
ask ko lang, paano nga ba pakalmahin si baby during the flight? we'll be travelling legazpi to manila this holyweek, kaming dalawa lang ni baby and super likot na kasi sya.  di pa nakakalakad pero super likot na nya! sa kotse nga lang na 20minutes drive, super ikot na sya at upo pa sa sahig ng kotse. paano pa kaya this time na airplane for 1hour?  toys naman saglit lang, bored na yun.  kung papagurin ko, eh, morning flight kami, so kakagising palang nya yun.  i'm thinking kung may vitamins/ med ba na pwedi, hehe.

^^Yes meron, pero sobrang sikip. Just ask the flight attendant kung sang comfort room yung meron. Dala ka rin ng pangsapin kasi madumi.

Pal's lavatories are equipped with diaper change tables. There are several kinds of tissues that you can use, you can also ask the FAs for assistance.

just to update mga sis,
hindi naman nagwala si baby during the flight. nung nag-landing na, dun na sya nagsimulang mag-irita dahil na rin sa sipon nya, nagsimula na mag iyak iyak...
all throughout the flight, madaldal with her small squeeky language tapos gustong gusto tumayo at guluhin [textspeak!] seat infront of us.  syempre, kakahiya naman dun sa passenger sa harap, kaya sa likod ko nalang sya pinapaharap.  pero pag sawa na, gusto nanaman yung front seat ang guluhin.
Grabe, kaka pranning kung paano sya i-entertain!

I'll just post my question here since this is more or less about travelling with a baby...

Im giving birth in late September. Last week I learned that a close cousin is scheduled to get married in December in Boracay. I know at 2 mos I'm allowed to travel the baby via plane. But Im more concerned with the boat ride going to the island. Anyone who had travelled their baby to Boracay that young? Is it any safe?

Cherry143 yan talaga pinaka ayaw ko when travelling via airplane, pag may colds ang bata. especially if infant pa kasi di marunong magsabi kung saan ang masakit. until now praning ako with my 2yr old when descending/ascending so pinapa inom ko siya ng milk/water or let her eat something para she's chewing.

^it's not kapraningan naman as the pressure while descending/ascending can hurt baby's ears and eating/drinking can help prevent their ears from popping.

na praning talaga ako kasi i had several instances wherein she cried in the plane when she was still an infant. tapos diba crying can clog the nose too. grabe yung nightmare, it's like everybody's looking at us. but now she's bigger, di na niya na fe-feel masyado yung pressure.

^i think depends yan kasi for us adults nga we feel the pressure diba? i also do that to my boy, if hindi cya tulog i feed him with something kung ayaw nya magbreastfeed just to be sure his ears won't pop.

^i think aside from the pressure the sound of the engine ng plane during ascent and descent yung nakaka-scare sa mga bata..nabasa ko din na you can try covering their ears with your hands. ako i breastfeed my 1yo lalo na pag maglanding na, or feed her honey stars

hunny_ally, iba naman ang sabi ng pedia ko sa kin, after 6mos pwede na sa airplane ang babies, if earlier baka may risk na mabasag ang ear drum...

^^for my daughter before she was allowed to travel as early as 1month. We were then planning to visit my father in law who was dying then. But ang sabi ng pedia, as much as possible avoid long haul flights cause the pressure can be quite uncomfortable to the newborn's ears. So as far as the flight I'm not that concerned since its quite a short trip to catoclan. I really more concerned about the boat ride.

Hi mommies,

First flight ni baby this coming May 5 going to sg via cebupac. 6 months old na sya by then and I'm worried kasi sa mga nababasa ko wala palang bassinet na ipprovide ang plane? tama ba? so 3.5 syang nakaupo sa Lap ko w/c is very impossible dahil malikot na si baby. Is it advisable to use baby carrier? Hindi kaya sumakit ang katawan ni baby pag ganun?

^i don't think na may bassinet ang cebu pacific. singapore ka ba pupunta? lakad lakad ka lang if mainip baby mo sa seat. i travelled with my baby for the first time when he was 5 1/2 mos old. malikot rin baby ko (mine's a baby boy) and what my hubby did is lakad lakad lang sila that time. i used a baby carrier by the way also since we didn't bring the stroller anymore to manila since baby has a stroller waiting for him there.

^thanks for sharing sis grayce...mukhang wala na ngang choice si baby kundi ang sumakay sa carrier nya the whole flight...kakaawa lang kasi parang nangangawit din sya kapag matagal sya nasa carrier...

^for your baby's age they can't do much pa naman unlike pag nagsisimula nang tumayo and so, so it should be fine. you can just bring books for your baby or toys para d cya masyado mabore. d naman kailangan lagi nasa carrier si baby during the flight. salitan kami ng husband ko magbuhat and kandong kay baby before just make sure to either let your baby sleep before take off/landing para d sumakit tenga. I have a silly question po. What's the usual maximum weight capacity of baby carriers? We have one kase na gift kay Zoe but we've never really used it and naitapon ko na yung lalagyan :S We're going to Boracay kase this April and hinde namin kasama yaya ni Zoe so hubby and I will have to manage our luggage plus my heavy baby girl. At 19 months, kakayanin pa kaya sya ng carrier?
