my baby boy was about 8 months young sa first flight nya MNL to SG via cebupac.. Kaming dalawa lang, I chose the 845pm flight kasi yun yung time ng sleep nya.. Thing is, he fell asleep before boarding kaya when the plane took off gising sya pero thank goodness he did not cry.. 30mins before landing however eh nagpoop sya and when I was about to stand up and take him to the toilet, nag ON naman ang seatbelt sign.. so medyo irritable ang baby ko especially since I cant stand up para isayaw sya. Mabait naman yung dalagita na katabi ko and even gave my little boy a cebupac stuffed toy ( she bought it tapos nung napansin nya na nagustuhan ni baby at tumahan na, she said its for him na lang and she bought another one for herself, chinese teenager sya).. When he was 10months, we flew from SG to KL and land travel to Genting and then back to KL and flew back to SG pero no problem na, since ilan kaming adults na nagpasa pasa sa kanya and it was just a short trip.. Most recent flight was last June, almost 1 year old na sya and SG to MNL by jetstar naman kami. Sa plane, no problem pero before boarding tinopak kasi 645am ang flight namin and nagising sya when I was getting him dressed at 4am.. hehe next time we are bringing him to HK.. mas mahaba yung flight so sana mag cooperate sya.. Now that he is walking na, any tips to survive a 5 hour and so flight? and yung 2 hours sa airport? Yun ang mas worried ako eh, baka magtatakbo haha..

^ tatakbo talaga yan hehe! but on the good side, kakatakbo nya, mapapagod sya and it will be (hopefully) a peacful flight for you, kahit ilang hours lang ikaw pa din ba mag isa with your boy? suggest ko to pack light para madali tumakbo haha at maka keep up sa kanya

^^If you're not completely against it, and you're traveling alone, using a wrist restraint will probably save your sanity at the airports. Na-experience ko kasi dati biglang tumakbo si baby (she was just 1 yo then) while I was picking up our bags and shoes from the security check conveyor belt (separate nun ang males & females so my husband couldn't pick up my stuff). Syempre I dropped everything and ran after her. Mahirap mawala ang bata, especially kung international ang flight and not everyone could speak English.

excited na ako sa 1st flight ni baby. we're going to bohol. sanay naman si baby sa gala gala. pero sana maging ok ang pagsakay sa plane. backread muna ako madami dami na rin to pages eh. hehe

mga sis, depede yun kung gaano kalaki na si baby. iba-iba ang dapat na i-prepare. kung wala pang 1 yo si baby, medyo mahirap kasi temperamental sila. there are times na nakakabingi sa flight at mas maganda kung may nginunguya sila. either a pacifier or snacks for toddler/kids.

With my first son, first flight niya was to Cebu when he was only 6 months. Okay naman, may time na umiyak pero di naman matagal. I also breastfed him, and he also slept. His next flight was when we went to Singapore and Malaysia after he turned 2... he was very excited sa plane, tuwang-tuwa yung mga flight stewardess, super daldal. Ulit ulit niyang sinasabi, "We're taking off! We're flying! We're going to land on Earth!" Hehe. And then we went to Cebu again when he was two and a half, ayun, super excited again... di na kailangan ng toy sa super excited niya na nakasakay sa plane. Daldal lang ng daldal the whole flight... di natulog.

We're expecting our second child this December... and we're planning to fly to Cebu again on January. She'll be around a month old then. I'm a little worried, but hopefully it'll be alright. Plan to breastfeed again naman. Si Daddy bahala sa aming son who's turning 3 this December, hehe. Cebu is my hubby's hometown kasi, so we try to go home once or twice a year talaga.

^hahaha! ganyan din ang baby ko. ginagaya nya pa yung sa little einsteins na merong "pat! pat! pat! aaaannnndd raise your arms as high as you can... aaaannnddd blast off!" ayun ang ingay kada take-off. hehe!

Excited na ako for my baby's first flight later. She's 5 and a half month old. Domestic flight lang muna. Sana maging ok byahe nya

Tanong ko lang sana, kapag ba talaga less than 2 years old hindi pa pwedeng ikuha ng seat si baby? Sa bassinet pa rin talaga sya kasi considered infant pa daw? First time ko kasi magtravel with my baby at 8hours din ang byahe. Parang ang hirap lalo na't ang kulit ng anak ko. Hehe.

Pwede pero adult fare yun & your child is actually better off & safer in a child restraint system (aka car seat)...contact your airline kasi if you check it online, just the usual infant child adult options will appear.

^ thanks sa reply sis. Si hubby ang bumili ng ticket namin. Sabi sakanya ng agent pag wala pa daw 2yo ganun daw talaga, walang seat. Hinihingi kasi ang birthday daw. Hindi ko din nga magets pero ang alam ko din is pwedeng may seat pero completo na ang bayad. Salamat sis.

my baby was6 weeks old when we flew.. he slept the entire 3-hr flight. the succeeding connecting flight (13 hrs) he did not do too bad. we requested for a bassinet, pero sanay sya sa kamay eh..

Binibigyan naman ata ng priority ang may baby, ano? Kinakabahan ako. Makulit baby ko eh. hehe. Tinanong ulit namin sa agency kung may infant with seat, oo daw! Kainis. Pero sabi ng iba kong kakilala baka masayang kasi baka magpakarga lang din baby ko sakin or maglikot likot at hindi magstay sa seat. So tiis nalang ako ng 8hrs

Priority? Sa boarding, yes. Sa seating, yes. Usually sinasama-sama sa front yung passengers w/ infants kung San may bassinet. Yun nga lang, more often than not, it's the noisiest area in the cabin.

Transpacific flight ka ba? Bring your child's fave toy na lang to entertain him/her. Some airlines give out crayons & activity sheets to keep them busy (for older kids na to).

Airlines & pediatrician swear by dipenhydramine to help your kid sleep. But, of course, consult your doctor first.

When I was working with SIA, alam na alam ko ang rules with flying with an infant. Pero now na ako yung may dalang baby, parang I don't know what to do. Dibale, almost an hour lang naman ang flight namin to Bora

^tin, hindi naman kailangan specially if it's for baby naman. magdala ka rin ng mga basic gamut for you and hubby since olats ang mga gamot doon. and basta hindi naman isang box at libo libong gamot ang dadalhin mo hindi ka naman maququestion

@simplykristine08 - sis, transpacific flight is US/Canada those that are crossing the Pacific Ocean.
ilang taon na baby mo? I work with PAL, feeling ko masasayang lang kung infant w/ seat kasi with my experience sa baby namin lap baby siya ayaw niya maupo sa seat. I don't make her sleep by drinking cough meds pagurin mo na lang para sa oras ng flight antukin siya 
i-checkin mo yung gamot para hassle free.
