my baby's first plane travel he was 6 months old. sa bohol lang naman kaya malapit lang. malaking tulong na dala namin stroller nya. kasi naging lagayan ng bags namin. hehe. behave naman sya the whole trip except nung pa take off yung plane, umiyak. nagtitinginan tuloy mga katabi namin. tsaka nag poop pala sya. eh ang sikip ng cr sa plane ng cebu pacific, nahirapan kami ni hubby palitan sya ng diaper.

sisses, question lang if anyone of you or know someone who experience bringing their babies on their first month ex. Phil to SG. How long ba [textspeak!] NSO and passport processing. We would want sana to have a vacation during my maternity leave para at least [textspeak!] ko yung parents and family ko. magisa lang kasi ko dito and nakakahiya [textspeak!] sa in laws manghingi ng kung ano ano di ba.

My sister experienced it from dubai-phils [textspeak!] and nakahabol [textspeak!] sila i mean lahat ng processing from brith cert to passport. kaso sa dubai [textspeak!] madali lang [textspeak!] birth certificate medyo natagalan lang sila nung Phil passport processing pero umabot [textspeak!] ng 1 month... dito kaya? TIA

Just survived my baby's first flight. 6 mos. old din sya, Philippines to SG. Nag-poop din nga sya sa plane, ang sikip at hirap palitan. Nung papunta kami ng SG, I breastfed her nung pa-take off tsaka landing tsaka nakakatulog naman sya. Nung pauwi na kami dito, nung malapit na mag-landing nagising sya tapos dun sobrang lakas ng iyak.

^sis ma_arts, for NSO birth certificate, I requested for it online tapos dumating naman after 3 days. For passport application, May pa lang nagbook na ako for appointment sa DFA, tapos June narelease yung passport, sakto for our July travel to SG.

sis _pink12_, from birth ilang days/months sya bago maregister sa NSO? un kasi [textspeak!] worry ko... naman kung anong petsa maregister sa NSO yung birth cert nya. ang worry ko kasi upon submission ba sa NSO, days lang ba bbilangin or baka abutin ng buwan?  :-(

Her first flight is when she's 1.5 y/o to SG. Everything went out ok naman, di siya umiyak during plane's take off and landing, I gave her milk para busy ang mouth and di makaramdam ng sakit sa ears. I paid for good seats on the front sa cebu pac kaya maluwag ang playground niya.

kirei_me, we tried booking my 2yo son via Delta airlines pero may bayad na.. kaya nag backout kami isama last time.. kasi natakot ako na baka hindi ko sya mahandle on a 19hour flight.. ang business class pa man din ay triple the price ng economy.. economy lang kinuha kasi namin..

_pink12_, to soothe ear pressure, either you nurse her (since pacifiers are not an option), baby ear plugs (kung papayag si baby mo), or asleep sya..

i checked SQ rin meron rin bayad ang baby next time if mag SQ kaming magina i think i'll check with them via phone kung talagang full payment baby.

at first i thought it won't be a challenge for me to bring baby with my on my upcoming MNL trip pero his sleeping pattern is changing and he gets distracted right away whenever we're out, sana mapatulog ko cya while taking off or before landing. Even if i direct feed ko kasi cya pag nasa labas kami minsan pahirapan not unless super gutom na gutom

we'll be going to cebu at the end of the month. my kid is 3 yo na. i'm currently looking for ideas on how to keep the kid distracted longer. besides the following:

1. books
2. small toys that were wrapped. i think kahit luma ok lang. basta you wrapped the toys 1-2 weeks before the flight para malimutan nya that toy. just like when we rotate toys at home. nalilimutan ni baby yun.
3. printed worksheets/coloring pages with crayola

what toys exactly did you bring for your toddler?

and how did it work for sis jenny_2284 who brought scissors? i have plastic scissors naman kaya baka pwede?

another tip i got off from another site is to request separate seats kung 2 kayong adult. this applies for long flights. make sure na nasa middle seat yung kukunin nyo para medyo naka-hoard kayo ng seats kasi the chances of someone to get those seats ay kung mag-isa lang sila or puno na talaga ang flight. the reason for this is to be able to rest from baby sitting. mas magaang for both adults kung makakapaghati sila instead of both of them taking care of baby.

^The plane ride to Cebu is very short, around 45 minutes? I think what you have is enough to keep your child occupied during that stretch. When we flew to Laoag (my child was 2 then) last time, wala akong dalang toys, actually. My daughter was occupied just by looking around, being a very curious child. Nagkwentuhan lang kami and took a ton of pictures. She loves taking pictures so a small camera was enough to keep her busy and she was happy documenting our trip herself.

^ oo nga ano. ang natatakot lang naman ako is if in case ma-delay ang flight na huwag naman sana. but if it does, sana he'd be busy para hindi sya maging cranky.

question: kelangan ko pa pa kumuha ng dswd clearance if im flying alone with my son to sanfo? or ng authorization from my husband?

First flight ng bunso ko nong 9 months sya, Manila to Cebu then to Bohol. Kasama din namin ang 4 years old Son. Basta nagdala lang ako ng maraming baon nila. mahilig kasi sila sa biscuit.

Most of the time tulog naman sila kaya ok lang at yong nga lang hindi namin dinala ang stroller ng bunso kaya medyo mahirap kasi panay ang karga namin.

Ginawa namin ni hubby yong eldest namin nasa gitna tapos yong bunso karga namin pero may time na hindi umiyak bigla kaya medyo nastress ako saglit don kasi nagtitinginan ibang passengers.

I have another question pa nga pala. My kid is almost done with potty training. We still have accidents but it happens only once every 3-4 days. Di naman na-accident kapag gising. Mag-aannounce yun when he needs to go. Do I need to bring diapers for him? Pwede bang wala na lang? For those who flew while potty training, did you go back to wearing diapers? I don't want to go back anymore kasi baka back to square 1 na naman ang potty training namin.

    * A minor traveling abroad whose parents are in the Foreign Service or living abroad or are immigrants, provided he/she is holding a valid pass such as a dependents visa/pass/identification card or permanent resident visa/pass/identification card which serves as proof that he/she is living with parents abroad and their travel does not constitute child trafficking.

tiggerlily, sayang naman ang potty train.. i think you can survive with diapers.. just let him go to the toilet prior to boarding the plane.. short trip lang naman so hopefully there wouldnt be any accidents..

^ oo nga e. naisip ko after posting my question, 3 days lang naman. siguro training na rin namin paglabas ng house. hopefully we get through it w/o accidents. but i'm definitely bringing lots of underpants and shorts/pants. ayos na ba ang 5 underpants and 5 shorts/pants per day? he only gets accidents when he's busy and engaged. siguro babalik ako sa sirang plaka ng pagtatanong kung nawiwiwi ba sya. at kakapalan ang mukha ko kapag madaming tao at nawiwi sya. at magdadala ng madami daming wipes. sana wag naman na airborne.

lagi kasi sya in denial kapag tinatanong ko. and then after a second saka mag-aannounce ng wiwi. ayus!

teka, may nalimutan pa ba ako dalhin or gawin?

^It would be good to bring a couple of resealable bags for soiled clothes to keep odors away, just in case.

I've taken my minor kids with me twice to SFO last year and this past summer. No need for DSWD clearance. They're ages 7 and 5.
