sis, yung terminal fee walang bayad sa 1yr old pero yung travel tax merong fee same as adult  KUNG hindi ka kukuha ng TRAVEL TAX EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE sa Dept of Tourism.  You have to pay P200 for the processing fee then free na yung travel tax then 2 yrs old above but I don't have an idea yung max age ng child na pwedeng mag-avail.  Kasi tinanong ko for my niece naman na 7 yrs old, pwede ikuha din cia nung certificate pay lang ng P200 processing fee and half ng travel tax (P810).  50% discount dun sa 7yrs old.  Pwede daw kumuha nito sa Dept of Tourism sa Kalaw or sa mismong Travel Tax booth sa airport.  Kelangan nga daw na mas maaga kang pupunta sa airport kasi mahaba daw ang pila sa pagkuha pag dun na mismo.

Clear ko lang yung 2nd sentence ko - pag below 2 yrs old pay only P200 processing fee then waive na yung travel tax.  If the child is above 2 yrs old pero di ko lang natanong yung max age ng child, P200 processing fee para dun sa certificate + P810 travel tax (half lang).

pahabol ulit --> Requirements nga pala for getting the travel tax exemption cert are child's passport (not sure kung yung flight ticket ata kelangan pag infant or dun lang sa child na 2yrs old above pero dalhin nyo na lang para sure)

TEC: for infants (up to 2yrs old) = Php200 processing fee
RTT: for children (up to below 12yo) = Php200 +810 travel tax (50% of adult's tax)

no need to present the ticket, just the passport...for regular tourist purposes

^It depends on your point of view. Some say not too young because they won't remember and you and the baby will just be frustrated, tired, etc...In my case, I start taking my kids abroad by the time they're 3yo. HKG muna, after a year, Asia pa rin, then USA na. No hassles naman. Easier for me since they're not wearing nappies anymore, less bottles to bring, etc...HKG, SIN, etc...are mostly walking cities (even with the subways, they still have some walking to do) so di din siguro pwedeng madalian.

ah ganun ba? sige, balak ko sana kasi pakuhanan na ng passport si baby, pero sige, hold off na lang muna mga plans, gusto ko din kasi yung ma eenjoy namin pareho yung trips eh

mariadj: We were in HK just last week with my 2.2yo girl. She was very pleasant all through out the trip and the flight, no crying even sa airplane, she was very busy lang butintingin ang seatelts, and magazines and looking at the window.
We also brought a stroller with us but she doesn't like to sit, so she walked a lot, no complains kase aliw na aliw sya sa new sight and sa disney. She remembers what she saw and what happened, i even made her a small disney album with all her pics in it. Parang brag book nya sa kuya nya, kase we left her kuya with the lolo/lola in pinas dahil very scared sya with these kinds of places (airplane ride, disney, rides, shows).  I am currently 5 mos pregnant pa, pero im so thankful that my baby girl was so mabait and pleasant, it was our last chance to spend time with her alone kase, once  the new baby arrives, matatagalan bago makapag travel pa, and shared na attention, thats why we decided to bring her to HK.

Our son naman travelled when he was 5 months old kasi Christening nya sa pinas. Then 2nd trip to pinas he was 1 yr old. He was more behaved when he was at 5 months compared nung 1yr old na.

I think travelling with your child will depend on his behaviour kung magiging smooth ang trip or hindi. Son ko medyo curious sa mga bagay bagay kaya he loves to roam around the plane. His 3rd trip to pinas he was 2yrs 2 months.

My 3rd child will have her 1st plane ride on Friday to HKG. She's 2yo and hopefully, won't give me any stress ...looking around for an inexpensive umbrella stroller...

My 6 mos. old baby will have her first flight sa July 1 to SG. Natatakot ako na baka she'll cry sa plane because of pressure. Any tips mommies?

She doesn't like pacifier kaya I thought of nursing her na lang to relieve pressure. Other tips pa?

Regarding child fare..my son is 2yo.  Is Child fare is the same as adult fare or discounted?
Any experiences with this airlines? Delta, Japan airlines, PAL?

kirei_me, we tried booking my 2yo son via Delta airlines pero may bayad na.. kaya nag backout kami isama last time.. kasi natakot ako na baka hindi ko sya mahandle on a 19hour flight.. ang business class pa man din ay triple the price ng economy.. economy lang kinuha kasi namin..

_pink12_, to soothe ear pressure, either you nurse her (since pacifiers are not an option), baby ear plugs (kung papayag si baby mo), or asleep sya..
