anong puedeng gawin para di masyadong sumakit ears ni baby sa flight? we'll go to guam on nov26 kasama namin si baby she's 4mos 2wks na by then she got her us visa na rin 10yrs

congrats sis! renew na lang ng renew si baby.. di na sya mahihirapan.. RE: EARS, breastfed ba sya? the best itong breastfeeding para wala ear pressure.. else, useful din ang pacifier.. meron din nabibiling ear plugs for infant pero hindi ako sure kung gaano ka-advisable ito.. we can ask the baby's pedia if this is advisable and kung anong pwede gawin.. sa son ko, pacifier sya that time..

sis, applicable kaya to sa lahat ng airways? kasi by dec. sunod na kami ni baby sa husband ko sa qatar, 9hr flight un (qatar airways). i need to bring her stroller. un baggage allowance is 23kilos, then 7kilos for hand carry. un stroller ni baby un graco ultima, it's bulky and very heavy around 12 kilos, kaya sobrang worried ako kung pano ko dadalhin. sabi ni hubby, balutan ko na daw ng plastic, mag carrier na lang daw ako kasi daw baka madumihan. based on your experience, nadumihan ba?

another concern, for those breastfeeding moms, what did you do? my baby is 4mos old and she's exclusively breastfed. were you able to nurse your baby during your flight or did you just bring expressed milk? middle east country kasi kaya kabado ko. tia!

I haven't tried all airlines, pf course, heehee but I've worked for KE and QR. I've noticed also in Changi in Singapore a couple of days ago (I took PR naman) so I assume it goes for all carriers na sa bridge pa lang (or what some people call the "tube"), they have a designated area for unloading the strollers, as in may sign talaga na tipong get your strollers here...sa KE before kasi sa airport operations ako kaya I know first-hand yung pagload/unload ng strollers. The ramp crew put plastic on them kaya wala pa ko nakitang stained ones...we give them out as soon as the passengers get out of the aircraft. I'm not sure if QR puts plastic on theirs but efficient naman ang paghandle ng gamit ng passengers lagi. DOH ba final destination mo?

I haven't tried bringing my babies when they were months old...youngest I took my kids on flights eh pag 3 yrs old na sila at ayoko ma-hassle and di din nila ma-appreciate...thankful naman ako they're well behaved everytime they're inside the plane...I even took them with me to the US last summer, sleeping angels all throughout the 12hr flight...mind you, ako lang yun ha...my hubby wasn't with me. My kids were 4 n 6 then. Kaya mo yan...for anything else, call on the ground crew for help. Nothing's too petty, that's what they're there for naman eh...to help you out.

If you have more questions re airport procedure, don't hesitate to message me..di naman applicable sa yo ang baby/infant meal kasi you mentioned exclusively breastfed ang baby mo.

@yapeegurl - thanks sis! mixed feeding kami, but i can BF her during take off & landing. checkup namin sa sat. will also ask her pedia on what to do.

hi sis, newbie sa topic na to.. 

my baby was just 3 months when we went to pinas.. pacifier lang siya during take off tska landing.. so i guess ok lang na pacifier, di na sasakit ears niya.. and ok rin if tulog si baby..   may friend, tulog baby niya the whole time.. so di na siya nabother.. nilagyan lang daw niya cotton both ears ni baby

^thanks sis theflygirl, that's very helpful. i just have to convince hubby to use the stroller instead of putting it in a box. yup, doha lang kami. is it ok to breastfeed (with a nursing cover)? i mean for filipinos i'm sure it's a natural thing pero sa mga arabo i'm not so sure. that's why im asking other moms if it's convenient to bring expressed milk instead of nursing on demand. and also, where can i change my baby's diaper? sorry di ko kasi ma-imagine kung pano set-up namin mag-ina when that time comes what if i need to use the toilet, something like that.

tama sis, mas ok if use kayo stroller.. before naman kayo pumasok sa plane, kukunin na nila sayo yan e.. tapos pagkalanding niyo.. nandun na rin agad sa labas yung stroller..

if you need to change your baby's diaper, sa lavatory, may changing area naman..  if ikaw ang magbbathroom, ask mo isang flight attendant na siya muna kay baby magbantay since sandali ka lang naman..

you can do it sis.. kami ng baby ko 18hrs sa flight

My baby had his first flight last week and he is 6 months old. Domestic flight lang naman so it's a short trip. He was ok on the first flight. I just tried to feed him during take off and landing. However, when we had our flight back, he cried really hard minutes before the pilot announced we are about to land. I couldnt pacify him anymore and he wouldnt feed na. I think his ears would not pop. I was very scared coz Im not sure what was wrong since he was fine the first time. My baby hardly cries too so I was really concerned. I myself though had trouble popping my right ear and when we are close to landing my right ear popped so I told Mom that his ears might pop too and after saying that he stopped crying and fell asleep. He was also sleepy too but couldnt sleep because of the discomfort.

I brought the stroller with me up to the plane entrance and they stowed it for me. But I had to retrieve it at the baggage claim area. Not sure if this is the same procedure for international flights. I rode PAL.

if you need to change your baby's diaper, sa lavatory, may changing area naman..  if ikaw ang magbbathroom, ask mo isang flight attendant na siya muna kay baby magbantay since sandali ka lang naman..

baby ko kinuha ko ng passport last Sept15 she's 2mos old pa lang that time, sa 2nd floor na kami pina diretso sandali lang yung que kasi siyempre meron din ibang may dalang babies, mabilis lang naman dapat 45mins tapos na kaso tulog baby ko ayaw magpagising eh kelangan niya magpa picture kaya nag antay pa kami sandali para magising siya. you can call DFA's hotline magpa check ka kung may earlier slot pa, ganun ginawa ko kasi sa online medyo malayo pa yung available sched e baka mabitin ako dahil ikukuha ko pa ng us visa si baby kaya tumawag ako ayun may earlier pang slot siguro sa mga nag backout yun

^ ususally sis after a month ng pagtawag mo sa kanila ang appointment date mo. Im getting my baby a passport din eh, and we are scheduled on dec 15 pa, nagpabook kami ng appointment last nov. 9.

1. authenticated copy of my baby's birth cert w/ photocopy
2. my passport w/ photocopy

i also brought my birth cert & marriage cert ayoko na kasi ng pabalik balik in case kailanganin pa.

pag dating mo  sa DFA they will validate again if rush or regular.

10days rush, 20days regular processing...excited ako kaya rush na lang hehe
