sis jefsie10, nagbiyahe na ba kayo? for infants kasi required magpresent ng birth cert. my 1 year old will go with us to laoag tomorrow and bilin ng pal yun na magdala ako ng copy of his birth cert sa airport. it's the first plane ride of my son. sana nga maganda ang panahon sa norte. tsk. ulan kasi ng ulan dahil sa low pressure area.

sis mikaela325, check the rules of your airline. ang alam ko, exempted ang baby food/milk so i think walang limit sa baby bottles. ang liquids, gels and aerosols ang hinihigpitan. For PAL, dapat 100mL lang ng mga ito ang nasa carry-on.

anneG, son ko 4months ko din dinala from Singapore to Pinas.. ok naman sya ngayon he's 21 months old na..

we're preparing for a 16hour trip early next year.. he'll be 2yrs 3 months by then.. natatakot na ako kasi baka sobrang magwala sya sa plane.. he's a very very active boy kaya all the means para maging comfy sya sa plane gagawin ko...

^sis yaps, okay lang yan, dala ka maraming toys na mapagaabalahan niya, foods at kung ano-ano pang mapaglilibangan..

yung son ko was 2years old and 2months ng umuwi kami, we waited 4hours sa airport for some reason (10PM nasa airport na kami), the whole time nanonood lang siya ng eroplano, i mean tinatanaw niya hehe, then one hour flight doha to dubai, then pagdating sa dubai stop over ng 5hours at dubai to manila.. mga 9 hours lang naman compared sa 16hours niyo pero sa stop over palang bugbog na kami, but my son remains so active but so behave. never nagloko.  every time na nagsstart siya mainip, isa isa kong nilalabas mga toys niya na nakabalot ng wrapper (heard this idea from one mom here sa GT) kahit simpleng candy nilagayan ko ng wrapper hehe.. para malibang siya..  may time pa na habang nasa plane, wala siya magawa tumatayo sa upuan at pinupunasan yung window, upusan, tv, etc.. nakatulog siya 4hours bago kami magland sa manila.. gising siya ng buong magdamag at buong araw ng flight namin

My son's first trip US-Phils was 13mos. He was pretty good naman. But he's alwys been a good traveler. I guess the only challenge was at that age, gusto nya gumala gala so we walked him up and down the aisle a bit (nung pabalik na).
I wouldn't recommend drugging your child just to get through a flight.
We just packed a lot of little toys that I wrapped para entertained sya. Crayons, coloring books, reading books din did the job for us.

^nice idea nga yan sis.. para delaying tactic pag meron wrap.. lahat ata ng gadget need namin.. and mas ok nga ata meron stop over para malibang.. and sana malaki discount pa din kahit more than 2yrs old na sya..

my son's first plane ride was to boracay. half of the time we were on board, he was asleep lang. but when he woke up, he truly enjoyed looking out the window  he was 15months then.

in november, we will be going to hongkong.

before my baby's 1st plane ride, we bought him C.A.R.E.S. or child aviation restraint system.  It's very useful for us coz it eliminated the need for car seats na bulky. we travel by plane around 3-4 times a year so it's really very convenient for us to bring the safety harness especially on long haul flights.

^I saw this product being sold in one of the toy/kiddie stores here in Manila.  It's very expensive (about P5,000, if I remember correctly).  I wonder why these are not provided on airplanes.  If each seat has a seat belt for adults, why don't they provide these harnesses for children?

^you know naman airlines. THey try to go by the barest minimum.
Unfortunately, my son has outgrown his CARES harness and my daughter is still too little to use it. On top of that, we do need car seats when we get to our destination.
So yes, kailangan ko pa din magbitbit ng car seats.

^You'd think we'd get better service with the fare we're paying.  Buti pa ang mga restaurants may high chairs; airlines, apparently, are not child-friendly.

Have a safe trip!  Parang ang hirap mag-travel with 2 small children plus luggage plus car seats (plus stoller ba?).

Thanks for the well-wishes though. Hindi naman ako masyadong worried with my 4 year old dahil talagang sinwerte ako dito. LOL
I am a bit anxious about my daughter since grabe ito mangilala. Matingnan lang ito, iyak na. So kawawa naman yung ibang pasahero who have to deal with her banshee-like screams.
And maybe I'll grow extra arms by then. If not, magpapatulong na lang ako. Mababait naman mga kapwa natin Pinoy eh.

onga.. yung restroom super liit talaga.. ang hirap mag change ng diaper and hirap hugasan ni baby... bakit nga ba hindi naging issue sa kanila ang pagiging child friendly ng mga airlines?

I remember in one of our flights noon, a flight attendant saw me wiping everything down (lahat ng puedeng mahawakan) with Clorox wipes bago kami tuluyang umupo. As I was wiping down the tray she mentioned that it was such a good idea to do that because some passengers change their babies' diapers on the tray itself and that the cleaning crew usually does not do a good job of cleaning the plane because minamadali sila.

Wow.  What a first plane ride for this baby.  Very sad.  But God is good; the baby is now safe.


I wonder why they haven't found/identified the mother.  Hindi ba may doctor's permit ang travelling pregnant women?  Or hindi ba identified sa roster kung sino ang may mga dalang bata?


Airlines should really be more baby/child-friendly.

my 2 year old just had her first flight! domestic nga lang since we went to cebu last week, he he. but she really enjoyed it, sabi nya sa akin, "mommy hulog tayo!" but she loved it!

grumpybear, my husband naman does that. ako wipes/tissue lang okay na pero sya clorox wipes din sa lahat ng paggagamitan ng bata.

help nman po mga sis, we will have an international flight on oct.17 with my 3yr.old son.. ask ko [textspeak!] my son have a US & phil passport, do he still need an exit clearance or any documents? this is our first time flight tapos almost 12hrs. pa (phil-US). thanks sa lahat ng magrereply
