does anyone have experience in bringing "handcarrried" sterilizer and stroller on local flights?

we'll be visiting my hubby's family in silay at the end of the month and my baby is only 7 months old so we need a sterilizer.. 5 days lang kami dun..ayaw ko pakuluan ang mga bottles baka masira..

possible ba mag handcarry ng elec. steam sterilizer? or i-check in ko pa sya? di kaya masira yun pag naka-check in yun? tsaka stroller pala ni baby.

which airline are you taking? standard is you are allowed 7kilos handcarry puede mo ihand carry yung sterilizer.

we bought PAL econolight tickets
nakalagay sa ticket 1 pc carry on baggage, carry on baggage weight must not exceed 15lbg
tapos another line baggage weight 33lbs

tsaka yung stroller din ni baby..we have the liteway.

so may check in baggage pa din kami di ba? pasensya na this is the first time we used econolight e

stroller is not counted as a handcarry baggage. if your carry on does not exceed 15lbs, i guess puwede. but arent you hand carrying things as well for your baby (change of clothes, milk, nappies, toys)?

local flight lang kasi, 1 hour flight lang. so milk, diaper, wipes, binky, blanket and toy will fit in my handcarried bag na. share na lang kami so she wont have a separate handcarried diaper bag.

if the stroller is not considered a handcarry baggage san syang category nabibilang? check in yon? do we need to pay extra for that?

@liyapot - sis, im from PAL. pag econolight you are allowed 7kilos hand carry & 15kilos checkin baggage..si baby i assume infant w/o seat ang ticket niya right? allowed siya mag checkin ng 1 collapsible stroller (yun lang) puede mo rin ichkin yung sterilizer palagyan mo na lang ng FRAGILE yung chkin mo para ingatan nila. hope this help

yup baby has the infant without seat. will do the check-in/fragile thing for the sterilizer.

@liyapot - another thing yung ckin ng sterilizer ibabawas yun sa free baggage allowance mo sis ha. but you can bring baby's formula drink, hindi naman sila masyadong strict sa handcarry pag domestic lalo na kung may baby.

Pano makakuha ng exemption sa travel tax na Php 1620?

^^i think for tha travel tax you'd have to go all the way to DOT. we didnt avail of the exemption anymore since it's not that big so that hassle is not worth at all.

magkano naman yun? we'll be staying naman kasi sa house nila hubby dun sa province kaya medyo kampante ako to bring her usual sterilizer. kesa mag rely ako sa pakulo

if ayaw mo pumunta sa t.kalaw sa DOT, sa airport may DOT din, just apply for the exemption before you purchase a plane ticket. Or make abono muna ng 1620 then pagbalik niyo saka mo i-apply sa DOT mas hassle lang nga kasi hindi outright refund..you will come back to get it again

mag aapply ka sa Dept. of Tourism ng travel tax exemption, bring your babie's passport & 2pcs 1x1 pic service fee is P200 not so sure kung nag inc. na sila ngayon. before getting the plane ticket make sure nakakuha na kayo ng tax exemption i-aattach kasi yung sa audit coupon ng tkt.

^only the medicines that she'll need during the flight (in case she gets sick): paracetamol, re-hydration salts, allergy med, etc. the vitamins i buy news ones & place it inside the checked in luggage.

yes, you can wait for it..pag e-tkt ok lang kasi sa PAL pag online bkg hindi kasali dun yung Phil. Travel tax, sa airport sinisingil yun. So dapat mapakita mo sa airport personnel yung tax exemption para hindi ma charge si baby.
