FIRST FLIGHT NI BABY 2

Matt will be 2 years and a day old pag punta namin sa HKG. We will be traveling sans the nanny so medyo inaanticipate namin ang stress.

This will be his second flight na. He was a month old nung nag-travel kami back here from the US and super hassle-free kami noon. He just slept all the time. Ngayon, super madali sya ma-bore sana everything will turn out OK.

BTW, we will be bringing his Maclaren and iyon ba is for check-in or puede i-handcarry na lang?

Yea, ibang klaseng experience when you're travelling with a child.  Kahit ikaw mismo sanay mag-travel naiiba ang rules pag may bata.  In our case, after the scanning checkpoint, I put our toddler down to pick up our bags.  As soon as I did this, biglang karipas nang takbo!  Nataranta ako, for a second hindi ko alam kung anong uunahin ko, yung handcarry luggage o ang baby.  Next time I'm buying one of those wrist restraints.  Luggage + baby = nightmare!

Maiba naman ako mga Sis, does anybody know kung magkano ang penalty pag nag-overstay ang US citizen sa Pinas? Say 2 years na? My son kasi is a US citizen and since we came back here, di pa kami umaalis ulit ng bansa.

hi mga sis! ask ko lang, kung magdadala ba ng bottles, lalagyan ko na ng water? o pwede naman humingi ng warm water sa plane?  filtered naman siguro yun di ba?

kime, ano status ni mat? permanent resident? may ganun ba sa pinas?

^kaedee^ pwede namang lagyan mo ng water ang baby bottle nya or pwede ka din mag dala ng bottled water, distilled esp kung disposable dede nya. meron naman distilled water for sale sa eroplano pro i dont think uso ang nagbibigay sila ng tubig para sa milk ng bata. usually the parents bring.

Ate Hapi: I don't know if he's automatically considered a Dual Citizen or if we have to apply pa. Kasi from what I read, if both the parents are natural-born Filipinos, parang the kid is sort of considered a Dual Citizen na (?).

Last week, we took a PAL flight from Manila to Laoag and back.  That was the first flight of my two year-old twins.   They behaved well.  Practice na rin for longer flights in the future.

We brought four baby bottles with water and formula in milk dispenser plus a ziplock bag containing their favorite biscuits.  Yung luggage namin, pinadala thru car sa cousin ng husband ko so that we don't have to go through the hassle of claiming luggage.

Before the trip, my husband and I would tell them that they're going to ride on an airplane, etc.  We were also early sa airport so they could get accustomed to seeing other airplanes. 

Since walang naging problem, I feel motivated to plan a trip to another country, say Hong Kong or Singapore.

rose, we are bringing hershey to changi airport tomorrow. since my brother is working in SIA, we will have a chance to see airplanes few feet away. para din shell get accustomed to the noise esp.

^ Singapore talaga ang daming great places for kids like the zoo, bird park and night safari.

Sa HK naman, Disneyland.  We'll see.  Sana, may promo.

Baka later this year though pag fully toilet-trained na sila.

sis need ata report eh in my case kasi dito me sa US citizen si hubby n si baby ako resident palang, dito kasi u need to report the birth of ur baby para maging dual citizen sya if gusto mo..in my case di ko ni report para US citizen lang sya.. dito n naman kami base eh nag babaksyon nalng kami sa pinas..

hi! hope someone would enlighten me about some things =)

My baby & I are traveling to US soon and this would be her first plane ride... I am planning to bring kasi the booster car seat. I plan to check it in... question ko is saan ko kaya ilalagay yun? in a clear big plastic kaya ok na or i need to box it pa? anybody here who bought a booster seat? pano nyo sya ni-pack? TIA!
