hi everyone! i'd like to ask sana for those who have tried this, ok ba siya? or people still bring their own gifts?

i still don't really know how this works, please correct me if i'm wrong. all i need to do is register sa gusto kong store like toys r us, then pili ako ng mga gusto kong mga items right? then parang i heard before na after the party i can return the items and exchange it to a gift certificate instead.. tama ba?

^Ang alam ko with gift registry is you choose want you want to be given to your kids be it toys or stuffs na kelangan. Then you can subtly tell your guests/inviteds na there's a registry under your child's name at pag bumili sila under that registry ng gift, may discount sila.

I haven't tried this actually. Ngayon palang with my daughter's baptism. And hindi ko din alam pano ko sasabihin sa mga invited about the registry. Sabi dun sa another thread, I should say it discreetly. Kasi yung una ko naisip is i-incorporate ko dun sa invites. Guess, I'll just do the former.

^yes meron card na bibigay yung gift registry shop sayo then you will insert them sa mga invites mo, may 10% off sila (sa rustans ganon)

on your baptismal or birthday invitation, you can put "registered at rustan's baby registry", aside from placing the discount card being given by the shop inside the invitation envelope. we did this on my son's christening invitation, although only 1 guest did buy & avail the 10% discount from rustan's.

usually you see this "registered at..." on wedding invitations

whenever i watch the show, "the power of 10", i wishfully thinking na sana maitanong yung "ilang pinoy ang naniniwala at sumusunod sa gift registry" ... he-he..

minsan... este madalas kasi nakakainis lang na nag-effort kang magpa-register at mamili ng mga items na wish mo eh gusto mong matanggap or ng baby mo on their birthdays and yet 10% of your guests lang ang sumusunod

i remember one time, may client kami... sa arcadia ang venue niya... sa rustan's siya nagpa-register pero puro toy kingdom at robinsons ang wrapper ng mga gifts niya... kasi majority bought their gift right before going to the venue and since Galleria is just across the street, dun na lang sila bumili...

yun na nga naisip ko eh.. una kasi kala ko basta pag registered ka pwede mo ibalik mga items and exchange it to gift certs haha asa pa ako! clarified that with rustans and toys r us kanina, pag pala nag double lang yung items and if wala sa list ng registered gifts ang pwedeng ibalik at papalitan ng GC sa rustans and sa toys r us naman, palit ng ibang item lang..

baka hindi na ako mag pa gift registry kasi baka masayang lang pagod ko hehe..

ako i always have my baby registered sa rustan's or toys r us.  and sumusunod naman sila.  kasi kunwari pag ako ang invited ang hirap bumili ng gift baby, damit ba, toys, or cash. so mas maganda kung may gift registry para dun na makapili ang guests. just make sure na yung pinili mo gifts ay hindi lahat mahal kasi baka di din nila ma-afford, like maglagay ka din ng mga below 500....yung iba iba dapat ang price range. hope this helps!

we did this too during my daughter's 1st bday...tried it kasi i personally prefer receiving gift registry coupon when we attend parties para di na ko hirap mamili ng gift for the kid.  however, a portion of our guests lang ang sumunod - mga friends ko lang actually and team ko sa office. hehe

didn't work for us.

registered my baby sa TK, hehe, yung guests they browsed ano meron dun then bought the same item at Rustan's. so ended up having two items from different branches. ang kaloka I cannot exchange the items kasi hindi naman sa kanila nagdoble. hehe

I had my baby registered at Toys R US and Baby Co. last August for her 1st bday and inserted the coupons together with the invite sa boarding pass sleeves...got some naman from my list from both stores

sayang wala pang online registry for babies ang Rustans.. Anyone knows if meron registry ang Mothercare? saan saan ba sa manila meron mothercare?

am thinking of doing it at rustans, toysrus, and mothercare.. pero need ko ata puntahan lahat sila kasi walang online.. need to find out kung meron nyan sa makati..
