Fresh from Baler (May 23-25). Inabot ng 7.5-8.5 hrs travel time namin via Cabanatuan. Stayed at Baler Darshan's guesthouse. 1 min walk to Sabang beach. Super bait pa ni Ms. Jennie. We're 6 people but she allowed us to stay in 4 pax room for 2k + 300 extra mattress. Tabi na lang yung couple na kasama namin. Sarap and mura lang food (Bayler's view and Yellow Fin). Ganda ng mother falls and saya magsurfing. Bitin!

Mga sis, may safe na parking ba sa cubao na pwede iwan ang car for 3 days? Mag bus lang kasi kami. Wala bang parang park and fly sa cubao?

^try to check sa alimal sis, if you can leave your car sa parking area nila for 3days. No idea lang magkano bayad. Namentioned kasi ng husband ko before yung tenant ng mom nya sa alimall iniiwan ang car, monthly ata ang bayad nila.

Ask ko lang if natikman nyo na yung famous Nanay Pacing's Peanut Butter sa Baler.
In case hinahanap hanap nyo yung sarap nya, I am selling them. PM me for orders.
Pre order sya, kukuha lang ako ng items if may order and uuwi ako sa Baler. Every couple of weeks naman ako halos nandun.

Ayoko naman mag stock, kasi para bagong gawa din yung makukuha ko pagbalik ko ng Manila.

Yung iba kasi hinahanap hanap talaga sya, eh mahirap na bumili ulit dahil aminin natin, malayo ang Baler.

sa july punta kami ng officemates ko dito (excited!) yung iba mag Joy Bus yung iba regular genesis bus... sabi nila pwede na bumili in advance ng tix pag Joy Bus.. kapag sa regular bus ba hindi pa? paano ba yun, pila na lang on the exact day, o pwede din reservation?

We'll be in Baler July 17-19. We reserved a room is SeaCoast Inn, sana maayos yung resort.

hi sis jenny_syngkit, SeaCoast Inn is about 5 mins trike to the beach. Same barangay ng house ni bf, few minutes walk from there. Bago lang yang Inn na yan.

Ok lang naman if may sasakyan kayo, if wala, dami trike outside.

If hindi sya luluwas here sa Manila during that time, paturo ka na lang mag surf kay bf, he's an instructor. PM ko sayo anong shop sya. I dunno pa baka ako kasi umuwi din that time, magkakasabay pa tayo. Will be there on 4th na kasi, so 50/50 if uuwi ako ulit after few days. hihi

For me, ok mag Joybus kung hindi ka naman masyado nagtitipid sa pamasahe. It's 700 kasi, sa Genesis is 450.
Joybus - no stopover, may cr, free snacks, reclining chair and may provided na blanket (kasi malamig). Relaxed ka dito. Travel time, kaya ng 5 hrs kung di mabagal yung driver. Pinaka mabilis kong travel via Joybus (3 weeks ago) is 4.5 hrs. wow! para lang ako naidlip. haha! lovet!
Genesis - 2 stopover. Bihira sa drivers ang 1 stopover. 1 in Cabanatuan terminal, 1 in Pantabangan (sa may bundok, 1 - 1.5 hrs away from Baler pa yun).

Yes, you can reserve ticket via iwantseats.com.ph (may charge na 20 pesos web fee so 720 babayaran mo, thru bank). Ako sa BDO madalas magbayad. Pagkabayad mo itawag mo sa kanila ASAP to confirm booking, kasi may chance na kahit bayad ka na nakukuha ng iba slot mo unless maitawag mo sa kanila, so better call them at once. They will provide # to call naman sa email.
Pagka reserve, you have 2 days to pay pa naman. Re remind ka naman bago ma expire reservation mo eh.

Sa Genesis, sad to say walang reserve-reserve dito. Pag di peak season/long weekend, ok lang naman. 1st trip normally 11pm yata depende pag matao mas maaga magpaalis. May stub kang kukunin sa guard. Nakalagay dun anong trip (1st/2nd/3rd...) Travel time nito mga 6 hrs. Bihira lang maka timing ako ng 5hrs or 5.5 hrs.
Everytime umuuwi ako lagi ko inoorasan eh haha! Kahit every month or every 2 weeks ako nandun, naiinip pa rin ako pag inaabot ng 6 hrs byahe ko. Kaya ok na ako sa Joybus.

Ang daldal ko lang, haha! I'll try my best sumagot sa inquiries based sa experience at nalalaman ko sa Baler. Happy trip sisters!

We were in Baler last long weekend. Makulimlim and maulan the first 2 days. Pero maganda yung waves nung 2nd day. Third day namen maaraw na, pero sobrang dalang and maliliit yung waves.

@moana - we looked for Baler Surf School hindi namin nakita. Nasa taas pala siya beside Hungry Surfers. Una namin nakita yung Surfskwela (green boat na nasa shore). Ok naman yung instructors, we paid P300 per person per hour.

Ang ganda ng Costa Pacifica (at least from what we saw from outside). Sayang fully booked sila during our stay kase may outing Ayala Land. Sabi nga ng kids ko, we should have stayed there instead. Baka next balik na lang namin. Pero nagdadalawang isip din kami bumalik because of the travel time. Mas madali pumunta ng San Juan.

Ang ok sa Baler, masarap yung food and cheap. We tried the buffet in Picnic Bay (Chef Gerry Shan) and food/buffet sa Hungry Surfer. Sayang hindi namen na-try yung Yellow Fin kase puno sila sobra when we went there.

Yup, nasa Hungry Surfer (Bay's Inn) yung Baler Surf School.

Aaaw bakit hindi ko magustuhan ang Costa? Dahil ba palagi ko sya nakikita? :p
Maganda kasi sa picture for me. Ang pricey pa nya.

@spinn: mukhang maganda naman sa Bayler.

Yung mga resorts kasi dun eh nadadaanan ko lang at hindi ko na-stay-an kaya I can't give feedback.

if you want excellent customer service, nice ambiance and relaxing stay and willing to spend then go for Costa.
