^4am ang biyahe namin thru Genesis. kaya lang dapat 3:30am, andun na sa terminal... yes, beach front ang bahia.. pati bay's inn beach front din...

successful ang trip namin sa baler! sakit pa ng katawan ko kaka surf pero sobrang enjoy! gusto pa nga ulit bumalik ng mga kasama ko. Nag bus kami pa cabanatuan, and since madami naman kami, naghire kami van pa baler.  kasi 12mn palang nasa cubao na kami sayang naman ang oras.  Sarap doon! sobrang amaze ako sa balete tree at sa ditumabo falls!!

Okay lang ba pumunta dito ng last week ng september or 1st week ng october? Kaya na ba 2d,1n stay or preferably mag 3d,2n na ako? Beach bumming lang din naman gusto ko gawin

sis kung beach bumming ka lang naman ok lang ang 2D/1N kayang kaya. mahaba lang talaga ang byahe kaya kung gusto mo magrelax talaga, pwede din 3D/2N

I miss Baler!!! I stayed there for one week last August. Nagsawa talaga ako sa surfing and food.
After the trip, I've been dreaming about the beach for one week! (literally)

Anyway, Going there is not a hassle anymore. We took the JOY BUS- the Executive Coach of Genesis. Its Php 1,300 round trip per pax. It took us 5 hours only because it has NO stop overs. The bus had a restroom inside. There's a cabin attendant, the seat were lazy boy seats and reclinable with foot rest. On board snack and water and free wifi!!


We stayed at Bahia de Baler. We stayed at the Cafe Rosa room. I was with my bf and cousins. The room was Php2,500 per night with breakfast for 2. The room that we stayed was I think the 2nd to the highest category para syang sorta suite.

We had our breakfast delivered to the room every morning and ate it by the balcony overseeing the beach. Oh!! What a breathe of fresh air!

The food was sooo good and cheap! Try the food at Bayside Inn and the Bayler, Gerry Shans and Bahia Club and Grill.

Bayler- this is a newly opened resort. I love the chocnut turon, undressed lumpia and longganisa agli olio pasta. Among all the restos, this one is my particular fave because of their presentation/plating. Though very limited choices lang. And konti lang tao kasi nga kakaopen lang so mabilis service.

Gerry Shan's- love their food!! Malaki ang serving, I esp loved the buttered chix. Downside is mabagal ang service super! It took us 40 mins to get our order though di naman masyadong madaming tao.

Bay side Inn- we tried the pizza and fries for snack. Super daming tao kasi dito pag lunch! As in it would take you an hour before you could eat pag peak hour.

Bahia Bar and Grill- Ito na ang pinaka "nightlife" sa Baler. They have a band playing every weekends. I love their Pako Salad. (Must try for everyone going to Baler, any resto ata serves this).

People in Baler are very friendly. Nakainuman pa nga namin yung mga surf instructors dun. The whole week nasa beach lang kami. Literal na sleep, eat, surf, drink.. yun lang everyday! haha

Mention ko din, madami palang ukay ukay sa bayan. Nagkulang ako sa board shorts kasi supposedly 5 days lang kami eh nag extend pa kami so I was able to buy one for only Php100! hehe! Yun nga lang nag ikot pa talaga ako after like 5 ukay ukay. Kasi di naman magaganda ang mga tinda.

My relatives and I will be spending our Christmas in Baler! We will rent a coaster going back and forth coz theres around 25 of us. I am so excited!!!

i will go to Baler sa Surf festival. prob is wala na kaming matutuluyan. any suggestions for an affordable accomodation? we don't need the package kasi we'll bring boards na.

bf asked me saan ko daw gustong pumunta sa anniversary namin this april, bigla naisip ko lang baler,aurora without knowing what to expect. Tapos kita ko may thread ang baler dito,gosh sa kwento plang about how tough the road was,nalula nako..weeeww..

But as i googled baler and other aurora municipalities.. Weeew ulit, naamazed ako with the sceneries especially with this certain beach resort 'casapsapan'..

Sisses, could you suggest the best way to go there without the mkatibag damdamin na paglalakbay? TIA

It was my first time to go to Baler and I didn't expect that much. It's not really a popular choice for getaways or leisure activities aside from surfing. I expected the long duration of travel and the tough road. But then after being in Baler for several days, touring around in some of Aurora's tourist spots and meeting a few friends, I realized how beautiful Baler is. How its simplicity makes it a perfect destination for those who want to relax, unwind and have fun apart from the busy life in the city.
If you're planning to visit Baler, expect the long drive. The roads won't be a problem anymore because most of the roads going to Baler are decent enough to pass through. But I heard that the other way, Bongabon National Road, is not that developed yet. They say it could be dangerous because "matarik daw at nasa gilid mismo ng bangin yung daan". So better take the other road. And also, there are no shopping malls in Aurora. There are only drugstores, mini marts and the town's market. So you better bring all the things you need.
Aside from those concerns, you don't have much things to worry about. Most of the accommodation establishments in Baler are budget-friendly so you don't have to worry about your expenses. Just check the rooms thoroughly and the amenities. Because Baler is a surfing destination, SURF IS A MUST. And you shouldn't also miss the other wonderful beaches in Aurora such as Dicasalarin Cove, Lukso-Lukso, Aniao, and many mooorrreee!

We're planning to go to Baler this April sana. Pero feeling ko madaming tao nyan. Ayoko pa naman ng mataong bakasyon. tsk..

i even asked the hotel receptionists kung ano meron at halos fully booked na lahat ng resorts. wala naman daw. basta weekend at maganda ang swell, andun kasi ang mga surf-addicts

My bf surfs, he's been into surfing for 10 years na yata and he wanted sana na makita ko Baler. Kailangan talaga tyempo. Dami pa naman nice places to visit sa Baler.

been to baler 2 yrs ago coz my bf is into surfing. and pinaka na mi miss ko sa lugar na ito ay yung early dawn breakfast namin. sarap sa tabing dagat.
halos nalibot namin ang baler kase nag rent kame ng motorcycle for almost 10 days yata..

next month sana like bumalik ni bf don..kaso ayaw ko na dahil sa biyahe.. medyo kakatakot

Mga sis.. we're planning to go here in April.. Though wala talagang marunong samin mag-surf.. Advisable pa rin kaya dito mag-start ng surfing or La Union na lang? How much surfing lessons dito? Para kasing napakaganda talaga sa Baler eh.. Tia!

in my experience ha, i tried surfing in la union and it was effortless. lahat kaming magkakaibigan kinaya tumayo. lahat kami newbies. P400/hr sa la union.

this weekend sa baler ako nagtry- nahirapan ako. ang lakas ng alon. walang sinabe ang la union sa swell - PERO it was a better experience in baler. P350/hr lang.

share ko sayo pics ko sa falls, ang ganda dun. one of the best trails na naexperience ko.

According to my boyfriend, Baler is better. Especially sa crowd, dami na daw feelingero sa LU eh
