I promised myself I won't buy clothes from the mall anymore. When I was in Bangkok last month, I saw the exact same dress I bought from Topshop at Platinum Mall. Same design, same fabric. I bought the dress for about P2300 sa Topshop. I didn't ask na kung magkano kasi sasama lang loob ko  Baka THB300 lang yun or less.

Super amazing ang Chatuchak and Platinum Mall. My advice is to allot half a day or even one whole day for Chatuchak because the place is really HUUUUGE! The cotton sleeveless tops with quirky designs cost THB80 each, benta ng online sellers dito P380 plus shipping.

If you like indie Thai designers' clothes naman, go to Terminal 21. The clothes there are more expensive than the ones in Platinum, Chatuchak and Pratunam but nonetheless quirky, unique and still cheaper than high street brands in the Philippines

Be careful din pala if the clothes are waaay too cheap. Minsan kasi may shops selling second hand clothes

just got back from my amazing 4 day trip in bangkok. for me so-so lang yung platinum tsaka MBK or maybe di ko lang talaga type mga designs nila. i really prefer shopping at paragon or central world even though mas pricey and kahit na we have most of the shops that they have, napansin ko they really have more options and designs na i don't find here locally like the clothes in zara, bershka or forever 21 etc.

for plus size clothes, i highly recommend this store, jumbodesign, in jj mall. ang daming designs at trendy ang clothes nila. mura at ok ang tela kaya naging suki na nila ako. mabait pa at magaling magenglish ang may ari. here's their website, http://jumbodesign.net/

hi mga sis , me and hubby are planning to spend our anniversary at bangkok. ask ko lang po from the airport, anong transpo ang dapat naming sakyan papuntang pratunam  or murang hotel na malapit sa pratunaman na pwedeng mag walking distance lang sa mga temple, sa pratunam market at chatuchak. how much din yung pinaka murang tutuluyan dun. medyo tight ang budget namin kasi ,pero gustong gusto naming makapasyal sa ibang bansa and we choose bangkok po kasi madami ang good reviews sa lugar na ito. please help po mga sis

^ sis, magkakalayo yung area ng major temples, Pratunam and Chatuchak weekend market. Pero mura lang naman ang train sa Bangkok so madali lang to go around if ayaw nyo taxi.

Common area to stay is Siam/Pratunam area, especially if balak nyo mag-shopping.

My sister and I love to shop at Pratunam, Platinum, and Chatuchak weekend market. Pinakagusto ko ang Chatuchak kahit na mainit kasi doon pinakamaraming magaganda. Ang ginagawa namin, one day each ang Pratunam and Platinum. Tapos Saturday and Sunday Chatuchak kami.

^ it's the king's birthday tomorrow. I doubt if there will be any rally by then.

As for the rallies, I think it's better to stay away from areas where government offices are, like the area where Marble Temple and Vimanmek Mansion are. I would like to believe that shopping areas like Pratunam and Siam will be relatively safe.

I remember tuloy back in 2010, I was in bkk for a solo trip, nasa Platinum Mall ako when I got a call from my MIL and then my husband din. They were worried kasi nasa news na nagkakagulo na daw sa bkk. E wala naman ako naramdaman.. I just continued on with my shopping  even walked around that night around my hotel in Victory Monument area, and thankfully safe naman. When I met up with some friends and we went to floating market, madami kami nadaanan red shirts along the way. Tapos me mga checkpoints. But safe pa din naman..

Sana nga lang wag na lumala pa ang gulo dun. Ingat-ingat na lang din sa mga nasa bkk now. When in doubt, stay out of the streets.

For me ah, been to BKK twice na, id rather shop sa platinum kesa chatuchak.
1. Price difference mga anywhere from 30-50baht lang
2. May aircon!
3. Mas hindi nakakahilo

For me hindi sulit yun heat exhaustion e. hehe

Nakakainis pag plus size ka mas limited choices mo. Napakapayat ng mga tao sa bkk. Siguro sa kakalakad

Girl's clothes are very cheap in Bangkok! Siam Square, Terminal 21, Asiatique, Pratunam and JJ Market. For men, better to buy in Central World, Paragon or Siam Discovery or sometimes from JJ market.

newbie in this thread, will be in BKK mar 2-4.. sana masulit.. lalo na sa shaopping.
Initially talagang personal shopping lang gusto ko but if budget permits, gusto ko mag whole pambenta...kasi na encourage ako ng friend ko.

Saan kaya maganda mamili pag wholesale?

^ for wholesale na pambenta, your best bet would be at Chatuchak weekend market and Pratunam market. Pwede na din sa Platinum Mall, parang Tutuban, aircon na tiangge.

I've been to BKK twice na at ang favorite shopping area ko dun is yung night market sa street. It's across Siam Paragon tapos super haba ng street puno ng stalls. Marami akong nabili dun na hindi ko nakita sa Platinum at Chatuchak.

^ parang wala ako na-notice na tiangge in Mega Bangna. It's a nice and relatively new mall (opened in 2012 lang yata) but I don't think you'd get stuff na pambenta dun.. mall kasi talaga yun e, so stores/boutiques ang meron. Pero andun ang Ikea if gusto mo mag-hoard ng pang-bahay na items. Medyo malayo sya sa city centre, mas malapit na sya sa airport area. Me free shuttle from one BTS station (I forgot the name, pero outside the city center na station na yun. You can check their website, andun yung transportation tips nila). Minsan lang matagal ang hintayan for the shuttle.
