i wonder how cheap items really are. say blouses, maraming BKK blouses sa 168, 999, and kahit sa palengke in our place. retail price is P200/pc. how much is the original price? i just wonder how much dapat ko bitbitin when i go there in july. if the price is almost the same lang, dito na lang ako bibili ng blouses and other items na target ko.

hi sis, usually kasi kaya mura sa bangkok may wholesale price sila. maliit lang naman minimum, 3 items per style lang and fromthere, di na bababa yung presyo kahit pa raw 100 bilhin mo.
Iba iba padin price depende sa style, may mga makikita ka padin na isang skirt, 400baht kahit pa wholesale price na, may iba naman 50baht lang okay nadin. Pero yung mga magaganda talaga usually mahal din.

Sa mga pupunta, I recommend you go to Pratunam(sp?), dun kumukuha yung mga resellers dito, mura talaga.

Pero nagtataka ako dun sa 15k pocket money tapos 3 luggage full of clothes na ang inuwi ha. I brought the same amount of money, wala akong ibang gastos kundi shopping lang, at shopping lang talaga, I went there with one luggage bag, I went home with still one luggage bag. Wala pa akong biniling makeup or anything na branded/expensive ha. Pero pag uwi ko, said din money ko.

Sis if matyempo buksan ng customs suitcase mo and pare-pareho items at more than 10pcs. for sure i-tatax nila yan.mas ok if hindi mo ayusin or pagsama-samahin lahat ng same items.goodluck!

thanks much ladychris. 20k lang budget ko excl airfare wherein 10k for shop so ang onti lang pala nun. 2days lang kami so one day tour one day shop.

My guess is, sa wholesale niya lahat ginastos. I bought some clothes kasi na medyo nasa 400baht and bags din kaya hindi ganon kadami narating.

Hi mga sis, saan may murang jewelries(gold) sa Bangkok? And how much or ilang percent usually ang pwede mo itawad? Worth it ba kung doon bibili ng jewelry or mas makakamura pa din if you go to Ongpin? TIA

^^^ Wholesale prices really vary depending on the style and material used. During my trip to BKK last March, mga nabili ko lagi price 200-300 baht sa Platinum mall. Wholesale price na yan. Madame same items na makikita dito, pero madame din na dun mo lang makikita. Dun ako nag focus. Sayang naman kung yun bibilan ko eh mabibili ko naman dito.

Mas mura pa din sa Pratunam mamili. Yun nga lang masikip at mainit (Think palengke pero damit ang benta). So dapat patient ka mag ikot at mamili. Difference din sa pratunam at platinum, sa pratunam majority ng stores (correct me if I'm wrong) na pinagtanungan namen, wholesale dapat same style lang. Unlike sa platinum na pwede mixed. Pero malaki ang price difference talaga. May isang top kame na nakita sa pratunam nasa 100 baht lang. Sa platinum, we saw the same top priced at around 300 baht.

Mahirap lang bumili ng bottoms kasi bawal mag fit.

kikayprincess Di ko sure sis kung yun ibang stores lower ang prices if you get a lot of items like mga 10 or more items. Yun iba kasi tatanungin ka kung for yourself lang or for business yun items. Like may isang store sa platinum ng belts, madame kame gusto. Tapos tinatawaran namen. After nun sabi if for business they will lower the prices as long as we get at least 10 belts. I think it will depend sa store.

Try mo na din sis sa chatuchak (if weekend ka nasa BKK). I heard its cheaper there. Though di pa ko nakapunta.

^ For the pocket money, it would depend sayo sis. Like if malayo yun hotel mo sa shopping places (pratunam, platinum) then you would need to commute pa so dagdag expenses. In my case kasi nasa pratunam area lang ang hotel so naglalakad lang kame.

Depende din kung gano ka kalakas kumain. Hehe and kung gano ka ka choosy sa pagkain. Ako kasi di naman malakas kumain, at mcdo lang ako kinain ko sa BKK kaya less than 100php lagi ako per meal. Free na din ang breakfast sa hotel.

Kung for personal use lang naman at di business ang shopping, pwede na mga $300-350. Madame ka na mabibili I suggest get a hotel in pratunam area kung shopping lang ang punta mo. Malapit na din yun sa mga malls like siam paragon. Walking distance na din sa Central World

maraming naraya sa bangkok, sa mga department store.  like sa central world, mbk, patpong meron din.

sa mga clothes 40 to 105 baht ang wholesale price sa pratunam di lang ganun kaganda tahi ng iba.  sa platinum 200 up ang prices, medyo maliliit ang sizes kasi maliliit ang mga thais.  sa bobe market clothes din.

I miss bkk shopping! Hindi ako masyado enjoy sa Chatuchak, nakakapagid! Lagi kami MBK and Platinum (mas gusto ko dito) gukat rin ako ang wholesale sa kanila 2-3 pcs. lang, haha! Aga lang magsara ng Platinum. 7:30 or 8pm ata closed na sila nun e.

Sa MBK at Asiatique riverfront kami nag shop ok ang quality at ang price pero nothing beats 168 and divisoria pa rin kasi walang language barrier sa mga tindera..

1 baht = 1.3749 pesos

i don't know lang how much yun buying rate nila. magkaiba kasi yun buying at selling na rate e.
