Hi mariposa,

I met someone just recently lang who just got her permanent residence status.  I asked her how long did it took for her to get her PR confirmation.  Sabi nya 20mos. From the day she submitted all her papers (open work permit, pr applications of herand her husband), after 6mos saka nya nareceive yung Open work permit nya. The processing of her husbands's PR started also. So it took 14mos for the PR processing daw.

Meron namang 18mos.  Really, it depends.  Nakakafrustrate  lang talaga.

I am currently applying for Canadian Immigration but unfortunately, cap reached na sa Registered Nurses so I'm hoping na next year kasama pa rin ang RN sa 29 occupations para makapag apply pa rin ako. May mga Nurses ba dito sa Canada? I'm just wondering kung ano ang first work niyo pagdating niyo sa Canada since kelangan pa magtake ng CRNE? I hope may makasagot sa question ko.

mga sis, makatutulong ba na magaaply ka ng visa sa canada if you have relative na lives there? may sarili kasi siyang company, pwede kaya na magpapadala ng certificate ba tawag nun if mag wowork ka sa knya?

sis jhaney, mostly ng mga kakilala ko na pumunta ng canada na nurse sa retail nagwowork while reviewing and waiting for the results of their exams. take it positively na lang since its only temporary. once you get your license then gora apply kana sa mga hospitals. you can volunteer sa hospitals para makapag-network ka na and if there's a hiring they know you're first in line.

sheems69, saan ka po sa canada? if you're from toronto, there is a filipino community that you can start networking to. I can definitely refer you to them, mom ng friend ko yung president dun. Kung sa [textspeak!] ka naman, i have a friend sa [textspeak!] pakilala kita if you like hehe she has a son too forgot how old. let me know.

definitely! my uncle started his own company too in toronto. pede niyang palabasin na employee ka niya at siya ang magsponsor sayo. so they can issue a working permit for you. what others do is they work full-time sa relatives nila then they work part-time somewhere else. you can do the same thing if you like.

^Thanks sis xoxocathy. Wala kasi akong idea kung anong puedeng maging temporary work habang hindi pa canadian RN. Hoping pa rin ako na kasama ang RN sa 29 occupations next year.
