sis question, hinihintay na lang namin ni hubby ang IELTS result nya for federal skilled worker yung application namin. di na sana namin muna isasama 2 anak namin sa application. Once na nandoon na kami sa canada process namin yung application nila after a few months. Sinabihan kami ng agency na mas mabuti daw if iaapply namin yung anak namin kasi if later pa daw namin sila kukunin, petition na daw yon and hindi pa daw kami pwede magpetition until 3 years of stay. tama po ba to? Ano pong maadvise nyo?

^i think what the agency said is true.
kasi in your application, and as part of the requirement, you have to also put the name of your children. if you leave it blank, parang that implies na wala pa kayong anak, hindi yan dahil you will just get them once you are settled. kasi again, you can leave them naman in the Phils muna then to follow na lang sila sa canada in a couple of months.

if you leave out your kids in the application, baka mas marami pa paper works and requirements hingin ng immigration sa inyo.

^sis, if you have passed all the requirements needed to immigrate, wala naman siguro magiging problem. as to how long, yan ang hindi ko masasagot. meron iba madali ang processing, some took quite a while. pero atleast pag approved na all the requirements, all you have to do is wait. atleast, kung may trabho naman kayo ng pareho, just continue working, para makaipon na rin ng pambayad and show money.

^ Hmm. Parang iisa lang naman yung sinabi mo, sis. Ang bottomline pa rin ay pag-migrate. Yung isa, direcho. Yung isa, dadaan pa sa work visa stage.

Anong benefits ba ang tinatanong mo? Of course mas ok kung PR ka na. Kasi you can freely move around, change jobs, establish your life.

Now the approriate question is, pano ba mag-migrate. Kasi ang pinakamabilis na option sa ngayon para mabilis na makapunta sa ay magwork visa muna syempre.

^ganyan naman most immigrants, syempre, you crave for the company of your own kalahi diba. but you have to choose who to befriend also  . if you are catholic, in most churches madami pinoy attendees, maybe you can be part of the programs they offer.

yeah may malapit na church dito i'll see about that... sana nga may ma-meet ako na pinoy dito na magiging friend ko... kakalungkot kasi... buti na nga lang kasama ko family ko dito...

at least nga sis kasama mo na family mo, unlike sa iba including me na talagang on their own pagdating dito, don't worry you can meet friends along the way din, some of my friends sa church ko lang din na met

@sweetpot: i am also based in Toronto. we moved from Etobicoke to East York so basically Toronto lang ang naiikutan ko via subway/bus. medyo nalalayuan na ako sa Mississauga.  nakakarating lang ako dyan if ever may mga friends gatherings or parties na kailangan puntahan. when we moved here wala rin kaming kamag-anak dito, kami lang talaga ng family ko. i met some filipino friends here thru my son's school na rin. usually mga parents din ng classmates nya. naging close ko pa most of them. some we met sa church. others via public forums. when we first landed here, isa sa mga tumulong sa amin maghanap ng apartment hindi ko pa nakikita in person, sa forum lang kami nagkakausap. they were very helpful nung dumating kami dito. kaya love na love ko ang mga forums kasi dito ka rin makaka-meet ng mga kaibigan at mga totoong taong tutulong sayo in times of need.
