Hi mga sisses.

Question lang po. Nag apply na kami ni hubby as skilled worker. Pero yung application po through Global Visas e parang Immigrant na ata. I aapply sana din namin yung 2 anak namin. Ano pong advice nyo? I apply nalang namini yung mga bata dito pa lang or kung nandoon na kami sa Canada? Ang alam ko po kasi kung dito iaapply ang 2 bata ay 7k each po yung mga bata. Mas mahal kaya or mahirap kung doon na sa Canada namin iaapply?

Ang nakikita ko lang na problema ng konti is if isasama namin yung 2 bata sa application e malaking show money ang kailangan.

Mga sis, regarding sa position sa work, when you're in Canada, it really doesn't matter. Kasi equal ang tingin nila sa mga tao. My sis-in-law, when she was in the Philippines, she was the owner of a number of businesses. Pagdating nya dyan sa Canada, she's only an assistant of the manager. Sa standards natin, parang "huh? assistant lang?" But when you ask her, she's happy. She gets enough compensation to have a balanced life. She was offered a manager position after several years but she declined, kasi content na sya sa nakukuha nya. Not too hectic and the pay is comfortable.

Same with her husband, he was the owner of several businesses here in Pinas din. Pagdating nya sa Canada, tech support ang labas nya. But he's happy too.

^kaya nga sis showermist..ako naman nurse pero feeling ko pagdating jan, assistant nurse labas ko..neways, it would be fine basta kasama ko si hubby..nasa pagtitiyaga lang talaga siguro..now we're saving up for show money..kasi kung papalarin, ill be resigning here on 2013..uhm, nga pala, im still in doubt kung saan mas magandang city mag-apply..pahelp naman sis..Si hubby, it grad..hardware software tech ang experience, ako nman nurse..san kaya mas maraming opportunities?i've a friend in toronto, mga 2nd cuz sa vancouver, sa mannitoba ibang friends ko..like ko kasi yung may kakilala kahit pano..

sis, i think it's easier for you to apply in Manitoba, since you said you have several friends there. May program ang Manitoba na if you have relatives and friends there who is willing to sponsor and vouch for you, you are eligible.

I'm an IT professional as well pero nahihirapan ako mag-apply ngayon kasi all our friends and relatives are in Ontario. Eh puro employer based dun, not like in Manitoba kahit friends lang ang meron ka, pwede na. IT is getting really congested daw dun kaya it's not included in the list of in-demand jobs.

hi mga sis, pwede ba ako mag apply sa Manitoba as provincial nominee kaya lang wala akong relatives or friends don.  Yung BIL ko nasa vancouver naman at hindi pa din nakukuha yung sister ko at pamangkin ko akay hindi ako makahingi ng tulong sa kanya eh.  What is the easiest way to go to Canada na kasama ang family ko?

the only way you can apply as a provincial nominee is when you have relatives/friends who can sponsor you. you can try applying as an independent immigrant, check the cic website.

thanks bunches sis charmedPrue..ill discuss it with my friends and h2b if ever.. buti pala sa mannitoba puede ang friends..lol.. pero try ko pa rin mag-independent if ever..kainis talaga kasi academic ielts nakuha ko..haist..

^ wala rin sis. kasi pagdating mo ng canada, back to zero ka. they need a canadian experience. which obviously, immigrants don't have. parang slap in the face.  mga doctor nga hindi sila makpagpractice eh. thyey need to upgrade, go back to school, etc.

yung sa sales experience mo, magagmit mo yan, kung sa sales ka rin magtatrabaho dito. start at the bottom talaga

unless a company will hire you, lets say you're in pinas, for your skills.

hi mga sisses ask ko lang if may validity ba yung caregiver certificate kung ilang years lang? kasi
yung SIL ko may kakilala na magpa process ng papers bale magbabayad sya para hanapan ako ng
employer dun and requirement yung caregiver certificate..last  2002 pa kasi yung certificate ko.

hi GTalkers...i just wanna know how long the process time is for sponsoring spouse from the Phils...

mine is on our 4 month na....we are done with the first stage..and on May 20..they are processing my husbands papers in Manila already...then..almost a month ago, the canadian embassy in PHils. ask my husband to submit his passport na..but another letter came a week after,asking for police clearance, coz he lived in a foreign country before which we forgot to include before submitting the requirement..but its okay..weve already submit it as well about 2 weeks ago...whats the next step kaya? does anybody have the same experience? thanks

^^true!   kasi dito kahit mahal ang living expenses, if you work hard, you get what you worked for.  and sa pinas, even if you work hard kung wala kang kapit (aminin, kadalasan nangyayari ito. i was once a 'victim'), wala pa rin.  or kung meron man konti lang.

hi sisses in Canada, i need your advice. Me & hubby applied for immigrant status and we got the services of CIC. Super tagal na ng application namin, way back in 2005 ( they started processing our application on Aug.10,2005)..medyo mataas naman ang points namin based on their criteria that time. My hubby is an IT person, now i dont know if it's an in demand job in Canada. I graduated with a masterals degree, but from what i heard it doesn't mean madali ka makakahanap ng work since it is considered as parang 2nd year college lang sa kanila. Tama ba? Our application is turning 6 years soon, hindi naman sa umaasa kami but we really wanted to know if we have a chance or not kasi me & hubby can't finalize our plans. Lagi na lang namin kino-consider yung "what if na-approve ang application", before making steps for our family like buying a proeperty here in Pinas. TIA!
