^if i may answer,  galing kasi sya ng Israel.  It could be that her work in Israel is related to caregiving din.  Parang yung mga domestic helper sa HongKong, they don't need any caregiving lesson kung pupunta sila ng Canada under the LCP.

Anyways, since nurse ka naman, no need for that caregiving course.  teachers and nurses doesn't need any caregiving course.

sa british columbia, some say mahirap, some say okay lang. did your agent advised you to take the LPN exam?  most nurse migrant can  immediately work as a care aide, if you consider this option.

kahit immigrant visa, there's no guarantee no you can take the LPN exam. kasi yung exam na yun is for those who studied LPN here in canada.

since nurse ka na, you may want to get your credentials check by the regulatory board.  they will inform you naman kung ano ang qualified na work for you.  a friend of mine was a dentist in the philippines and furthered her studies in japan then came in canada under immigrant visa--she had her credentials checked and she only qualified as a certified dental assistant.

I can't say about Manitoba kasi I am from British Columbia and some school here evaluates credentials for a fee.
There are lots who can do this for you. That I assure you.

^ Parehas lang yun, sis. "Temporary" worker ang term nila kasi lahat naman ng non-permanent resident at non-citizen na nagtatrabaho sa Canada dahil technically temporary lang talaga ang stay dun. May bagong policy nga ang Canada, parang 4 years maximum lang ang isang temporary foreign worker doon. After 4 years of cumulative work in Canada, kailangan na niyang umuwi at magpalipas ng four years bago ma-employ uli.

^nabasa ko na sis. nung apr 1, 2011 pa pala nag-start. does it mean na "all temporay workers" kahit yung andun na sa canada prior to apr 1, 2011? o yung mga pumasok ng canada after apr 1? and does it include yung nasa caregiver program?

@sis cuppie_cake....di po ako ang naghahanap ng work. stay-at-home mom muna ako habang maliit pa si bunso namin. hubby ang hinahanapan namin ng work..hvac engineer siya. unfortunately, walang mechanical engineer dun sa list for federal skilled immigrants. wala din kaming relatives sa canada na pwedeng magsponsor sa amin.

^sis, ano usually ang mga work ng directly hired na mga pinoy dyan sa canada? i'm applying kasi through agency kaya lang hahanapan pa nila ako ng employer. i like to consider sana yung direct hiring para mas madali.

^Im under the caregiver program which my aunt (employer's friend) sponsored me. I've heard also yung guard sa office namin before sa Makati he's in Alberta direct hired din siya, I think store clerk siya sa convenience store dun which hired din siya ng friend niya. I don't know what else but I also learned some websites before jobbank ata yun in which you'll find an employer din direct, yun lang the problem is if they're willing to wait sa tagal ng processing ng workers in P.I.
