add lang ako ke sis kvandenhaak. ako rin kasi am here in canada as a PR without using agencies. kung cinoconsider niyo talaga na magpunta ng canada, before even going to an agency, do all of the research and readings muna...para if you do decide to go to an agency, alam niyo what to ask, what to expect.
very detailed naman ang instructions sa cic website and yung websites ng mga canada provinces. nasa websites lahat yung application forms, checklists, even the guides. marami ring forums like this one where you can ask kung ano ba dapat ilagay sa particular questions sa application form kung nalalabuan kayo.

personally kasi tingin ko pag complicated ang case niyo, then that's the time na iconsider niyo ang agency. at ingat kayo sa agencies. andami ko rin kasing nabasa sa ibang mga forums na although legal yung agency nila, mas napatagal pa yung processing nila at yun nga napagastos pa sila. me mga kasabayan akong nag-apply na exactly the same as my application na nag-agency, pero till now eh nag-aantay pa sila.

concerned lang ako that's why i'm bringing this up. in the end kayo pa rin ang magdedecide, but please regardless kung mag-a-agency kayo o hindi, please please read and research the process thoroughly first.

^agree with what sissies are saying din, I got here with the help of my aunt kaya hindi ako masyado nahirapan with the steps, it really helps when you can asked someone just to make sure yun nga lang extra careful talaga sa mga agencies lalo na sa pinas alam naman natin ang hirap ng buhay so di rin maiiwasan na may mga manloloko pa din. Anyway, my cousin whose wanting to apply din as an immigrant is asking for our help too on how she can apply, nacoconfuse daw kasi siya sa mga steps sa website, though with money matters wala siyang problem when it comes to financial stability sana. So now, research research din ako and hopefully makatulong din sa kanya.

Sis Charmed... i checked the website of go2gocanada.com at meron silang student visa na sa gustong mag-apply... natatagalan kasi ako dun sa LCP kahit pa direct hire yun kasi 3-4 years pa pala before ko makuha dependants ko katulad na rin siya sa US na family based petition in F2A category... kaya hanap na lang ako ibang way... hindi ko makaya mapalayo sa mag ama ko ng ganun katagal.. waahhhh!!!

Kung sa Pilipinas ka maga-apply para makapag-migrate sa Canada, sobrang tagal! That is, kung maaapprove ka pa.

Ang madaling nakakapunta doon ay yung mga may relatives and family members na nagi-sponsor. Yung iba, nagpupunta dun sa temporary workers. Pero mahirap din maging permanent resident yung mga low-skilled workers.

^i agree.  a friend came here as a low skilled worker.  she thought she can apply for a permanent resident status after a certain period of time (with the help of a lawyer and they need a certain amount pa to pay for it), kaso she was denied because andami nyang dependents. approval daw will depend on her income and the number of family member (spouse and kids lang). since she's low skilled worker, low range lang din ang salary, she was denied. she only has two options--apply as provincial nominee or work under the live-in caregiver program. she chose to work under the live-in caregiver program kasi sure na makakapag apply sya ng PR after 24months (or equivalent).

pero yung kaibigan nya was approved because single sya--kahit maliit ang income nya, it's enough to support herself.

Question lang po regarding Provincial Nomination in Alberta.

Yung brother ko na nasa Canada after 2 years of working nag apply for Provincial Nomination.

Then nung last march nagpamedical na yung asawa at mga anak nya. (okay naman yung result ng medical nila, so pinasa na yata sa embassy yung result).

Then recently biglang nag announce yung present company nya na magsasara na yung company hanggang May 1stweek na lang ang work nila. 

Ano kayang effect nun sa application nila?

Sana naman ituloy parin yung processing ng papers nila kahit ganun na nga ang nangyari. 

Employer Driven pa naman yata ang Provincial Nomination.

For those who are planning to apply as migrants sa Canada, you do not need an agency. Katulad nga ng nasabi ng mga sis natin dito, everything is on the internet. JUST READ AND RESEARCH. Hindi rin maganda na makinig sa "sabi-sabi." Like sabi ng kapitbahay ko, ganito. Or sabi ng agent ko ganyan. Maraming nagiging changes sa procedures ang policies ng immigration at lahat ng updates ay nasa internet na nga. Napakaraming website at forum na pwedeng puntahan.

Hi, I wanna work in Canada given a chance sana....from what I heard mas prefer or mas indemand sa canada ang skilled worker? I'm torn kasi if I should study any vocational course or mag-apply na sa para experience na agad  and one thing tama ba pagkakaintindi ko na mas madali makapunta sa Canada if ever na from other country ka like SG,NZ mangagaling cross-country from working there? Paki clarify naman po, salamat

^yes, it's easier kung galing ka ng hongkong, singapore, taiwan, dubai...  demand for skilled worker depends on the province too. visit their site to be updated. it's all there.

but i just want to say na hindi lahat ng skilled worker eh qualified mag apply ng permanent residence. you're lucky if the boss will support your application.

makaka affect kaya yun sa PR application ng buong family?

if the primary applicant will be the onesupporting the family, then baka madelay application nyo.  well, sana delay lang at di totally deny. sana lang makahanap na sya ng work agad.

iba-iba kasi ang patakaran ng every province.

gusto ko lang i-clarify ulet--dependent ba kayo ng primary applicant? kasi malaki magiging epekto kung dependent kayo.

hindi ako pamilyar with alberta provincial nomination naman. kaya let's hope i am wrong in my assumption and the general knowledge i have of PN's.

Ang alam ko, kapag sponsored ng company ang nomination, maaapektuhan talaga. Kasi hahanapin yung work permit (hahanapan ng status ang applicant) bago irelease ang pera. May kilala kami na na-deny dahil naman expired ang work permit. In your case, since na laid off, paso na rin ang work permit.

Malaking factor kasi ang kawalan din ng source of income. Syempre ang gusto ng Canada ay iyong may financial capacity. Kung walang work, walang income. Walang pang-support sa family.

^kahit ninang mo sya, there is not much she can do to help you.  sabi mo, wala syang anak so hinde ka nya mai-sponsor-an under th live-in caregiver program.(eto sana yung the most possible way)

wala yun sa tagal na nya dun sa canada--it's on her financial capability.

what she can do is help you find an employer instead.

I assume na hindi kayo related by blood? Kasi walang weight kung ninang mo "lang" siya. May mga provinces na pwede yata ang family sponsorship basta may financial capacity.

Yes, ask your ninang to help you find an employer na lang ... temporary worker visa...

I came from the other thread to this thread. I've been checking the sites provided by our gtalkers here, scan-scan pa lang, if God's permit we're more than willing to move in Canada for our kids sake though we're checking NZ & Australia since my hubby has relatives there this is our 1st option.

Hi! close na pala sa Caregiver Thread  anyway, thank u sa tips and infos u...  nga pala sis why yung cousin ni hubby ko wala ng caregiver training nung pumunta siya ng canada? LCP din siya & that was last year lang .. iba na ba requirements ngayun? dun siya kasi galing ng israel..  im a nurse so i don't think need ko pa ang 6 months caregiver course... ?
