tanong lang po... those under LCP ..within 2 years pwede na ba mag apply ng PR? kailan mo pwedeng i-request dependants mo? mga sis, may agency ba kayo na pwedeng i recommend sa akin papuntang canada? marami kasing J.O. dito pero i have no idea which one of them is genuine.LOL!  plan sana akong i direct hire dyan kaso sobrang tagal pa hintayin ko...  advise me please e e e

from what I've known, within 2 years of employment you can apply for open permit muna which usually takes na around 12 months from submission as per their website, tapos final decision (which I think is PR) is 15months, Once you submitted the paperworks iinclude mo na dependents mo tapos the canadian embassy in Pinas will be the one to notify your dependants about the procedure there, if all goes well you'll both rcvd your PR's almost the same time I think. Is it an agency from pinas or HK you're referring to?

hi sis, thank u... so at least 3 years pa before i can finally get them? correct me if im wrong sis.. are u in canada now? one of the reason kasi kung bakit gusto ko muna magWork ng HK or SG para madali lang ang processing time compared dito sa pinas na aabutin daw ng 2 years.. regarding sa agency naman im referring sa agency here in ph for canada..kasi dami ko nakita sis na job order for canada kaya lang sobrang laki ng PF! lol... and u will never know it kung talagang mapapaalis ka nila di ba... so ayun nag- iingat lang... '

just give it 3-4 years, ang bagal din kasi ng processing ngaun maybe because ang dami na din under the program. Yup, I've heard yung mga galing HK is 2-3 months lang ang processing, not like those in pinas na aabutin ng almost 2 years plus you have to study the caregiver program which takes 7months. I'm not sure about agency sa pinas eh, mostly ng nakakausap ko dito from HK (yun ang may agency) usually yung mga galing pinas mga direct hire, meaning may relatives sila na pinakiusapan ang employer to sponsor or something like that and then when they come here they will be release tapos sila na lang maghahanap ng job on their own. Kasi if you come to think of it, employers here doesn't want to hire someone from PH kasi nga sa sobrang tagal ng processing. Maganda sana if you know someone who's really willing to sponsor you from pinas, if not nga better go to HK tapos moved to canada, yun lang I'm not sure kung gaano katagal ka dapat magwork sa HK before you can apply for canada.

^ For the start up plan, we paid 15k muna. Para makapag-start na to collate all documents and fill out forms. Then if you're eligible na to apply, pwede na nila isubmit kagad papers nyo to CIO then you need to pay the remaining 40-50k. What's good about this program is you don't need to pay the full amount yet as long as hindi ka pa eligible. And it doesn't expire

Baka magulo ako mag-explain sis. Just go to the website go2canada.com and you can get a free assessment. I think meron din sila upcoming seminars sa Aristocrat para they can show you personally yung different plans that suits your case.

^Just don't waste your money with immigration consultants. All the information you need is in the Canadian Immigration and Citizenship website. You just have to do a little reading but it will save you lots of money.

We can't afford to be denied just because our Job Description in the Philippines is different from the NOC we thought is equivalent to it. Or just because we missed to fill out an item in the form where the embassy will send back our docs and months has passed. Ibabalik lang din pala sayo just because of a little thing. I guess dun din nagddiffer if you're really serious or not in getting to Canada. Kami ni hubby, we cannot afford to lose our chance.

I'm an IT Professional and hubby is an Industrial Designer in paper but Call Center Agent in experience. And both are not part of the list... The only option is via Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) or if you get an employer willing to sponsor you. Ok sana if our relatives are in Manitoba pero they're all in Ontario. So need din ng employer to be able to apply.

For everyone's info, here's the list of professions who are eligible to apply as immigrants even without an arranged employment. I think this will be updated by the Canadian government in July 2011.

There's a cap of 1000 applications per occupation. And the ff has already reached the cap:

1122 - Professional Occupations in Business Services to Management
3131 - Pharmacists
And one of the nurse occupations, not sure which one

I know a lot of people that immigrated here without the help of consultants. I immigrated here without their help. And if you are serious, you will still have to read everything because YOU ARE THE ONE applying. You have to make sure everything is properly filled. Even the Canadian government is warning immigrants-to-be to be careful about the consultancy agencies. Also, going through a consultancy agencies DOES NOT guarantee that you will be approved.

However, it's really your call. But for those who are "tight in budget", the CIC website has provided everything you need to know how to immigrate. It even has a step-by-step instructions on how to fill the forms. Ewan ko na lang sa magkakamali.
