I apply for FSW (manager). I paid na kasi bank draft under 'Receiver General for Canada' dated July 2010 then made follow up sa BPI status of my BD, according sa file nila August 2010 before or on that month na hindi na siya outstanding meaning na recieve na siya . Sabi kasi ng consultancy firm na hire ko within 6months makakatanggap na ako ng number, pero if I count months, diba dapat my number na give na sa akin ang Canada? Ano po ba ang process ngayon? Ayoko isipin that yung company na hire ko ay mabagal or not bad naman na niloloko ako for updates.

^ sis if the cheque you issued e sa pangalan ng ' receiver general of canada' sa canadian immigration talaga yan napunta. so you're good with that.
expect a delay kasi lahat ngayon ng nagpaprocess even with those who are IN canada are delayed na. this has been the case since middle of last year. at mas humaba/lumala pa yung delay this quarter.

Meron ba sa canada na pwede sponsor or petition ang kapatid?

Yung nabasa ko sa internet, kelangan below 18, orphan basta something ganun ang situation.

We were hoping pa naman kapag nandun na kapatid ko, pwede nya kami kuhanin ng family (husband and kids).

Parents yata pwede, tama ba ako?

sis, as of now--direct family lang ng sister mo ang pwedeng makuha. which means spouse at mg anak lang nya.  pwede nyang kunin ang parents nyo if she/he's able to present the required annual salary(nya) sa imigration. meaning dapat kaya nyang suportahan ang parents.

canadian government are going to cut  people coming to the country. and they made 'family visa' mas mahirap. i dunno why.  it's in the news lately. at yan ang experience ng mga ibang pinoy dito.  (well, siguro nasa officer na naghihandle, o di kaya'y sa medical ang problema--lots of factors)

nasa news din na babawasan ng anil ayung 'immigration' this year

i would say, if you really want to come here, apply as an immigrant

Who can be sponsored
You can sponsor:

•parents
•grandparents
•brothers or sisters, nephews or nieces, granddaughters or grandsons who are orphaned, under 18 years of age and not married or in a common-law relationship
•another relative of any age or relationship but only under specific conditions (see Note below)
•accompanying relatives of the above (for example, spouse, partner and dependent children).
Note: you can sponsor one relative regardless of age or relationship only if you do not have a living spouse or common-law partner, conjugal partner, a son or daughter, parent, grandparent, sibling, uncle, aunt, nephew or niece who could be sponsored as a member of the family class, and you do not have any relative who is a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident or registered as an Indian under the Indian Act.

Who cannot be sponsored
Other relatives, such as brothers and sisters over 18, or adult independent children cannot be sponsored. However, if they apply to immigrate under the Skilled Worker Class, they may get extra points for adaptability for having a relative in Canada.

This one, I think, is kind of stupid because they allow "undesirable" people to stay in Canada. I mean, comparing to those people naman, yung mga galing sa atin ay skilled, educated and can speak their language. Yan yung mga taong asset to the growth of the economy hindi katulad nung mga may refugee status na may mga criminal records pa sa pinanggalingang bansa.

I know! Grabe noh? Imagine Kung ilan yung karga ng Tamil boat, which by the way e nakadock ngayon sa island's water. Tapos they let them stay here. Eto siguro ang ISA sa Mga factor Kung bakit ang sloooow ng processing ngayon sa immigration.

Also, yung sa live in caregiver program, have you checked it? Applying for PR got two stages na:
Stage 1: 10-12mos I think this is the open work permit
Stage2:  15mos this is the final decision
It defeats the purpose of going under the LCP route. Nakakapika.

We'll keep on trying lang din ano maging options in the future. I feel sad lang kasi pag iniisip ko parents namin na matatanda na iwan sa pinas.

Based din kasi ako sa Middle East, and ang vision ko talaga isa kung nasa ibang bansa man kame pero sama sama.

@ showermist: hay naku sis, nakakainis na talaga ang immigration. I dont know if you've heard about it but nasa newspaper, one bangladesh criminal na andito sa toronto, he killed the president way back 80's or 90's tapos he flew all the way here and is considered a refugee take note he has a condo and living the good life here, pinapadeport na nga siya eh but the gov't wouldnt allow it kailangan muna ibaba ang sentence sa kanya from death penalty to lifetime imprisonment in bangladesh. I say, wag na sila makialam and deport the person, masyado silang maluwag sa iba but its not fair to others esp. under those on LCP na nagwork ng 2years expecting to get their families ASAP tapos have to wait for a longer period pa pala.

hay, let's just be thankful na lang na andito na tayo. Mukhang naging more strict na sila ngayon sa mga rules nila, I'm guessing in a few more years baka ibahin or totally na din nila alisin ang LC program.

Last year nila iniba sis yung sa LCP. 3rd quarter of 2010, ramdam na yung pagbabago. And it made me wonder na parang tahimik Mga pinoy organization who's looking kuno sa welfare ng Mga caregivers..there's something off...

^not to discourage you pero mas priority ng canada pag family kasi. pag single mas mabilis maka lipat ng new zealand, australia. ang ginagawa ng karamihan for those who wants to migrate to canada, nz and oz, nagwowork in dubai or singapore para mas mabilis

question nga pala mga sis. yung mga holder ng working permit na nanganganak sa canda, automatic ba ng canadian citizen agad yung anak nila?

tanong lang po... those under LCP ..within 2 years pwede na ba mag apply ng PR? kailan mo pwedeng i-request dependants mo? mga sis, may agency ba kayo na pwedeng i recommend sa akin papuntang canada? marami kasing J.O. dito pero i have no idea which one of them is genuine.LOL!  plan sana akong i direct hire dyan kaso sobrang tagal pa hintayin ko...  advise me please e e e
