^uso satin yan, backstabbing ;D agree ako sa sinabi ng hubby mo. may mga naging kaibigan din akong pinoy nung nasa toronto pa ako pero super pili talaga as in. i've had my own share of "you know what kind of people i'm talking about here" and karamihan pinoy pa talaga. ibang level grabe. majority ng mga naging kaibigan ko na ok talaga is chinese, viets & canadians. pag may problema tulong agad :)

meron pang mga religious groups na dati sinali kame, we tried pero after a while umayaw kame pareho! kakaloka after church aba chismisan agad! Nasan ang pinag aralan sa bible?

hubby's friends are mixed. luckily our filipino friends will be there for us no matter what! tried and tested na! hehe pero ako no flip friends talaga mostly chinese, koreans and canadians. Oh how i miss my girls!  :'( sabi ko tama na friendship kaya i don't think i can find friends like them dito. Sa pinas nga 1 lang ang trusted friend ko lol buti na lang close ako sa parents and siblings ko so they act as my venting machine when i go insane! Hirap kaya magisa sa canada! lol

oh my kelangan nga pala ng invitation letter if pupunta ako canada. kelangan ko na pala sila kausapin  ;D

i think yung crab mentality and backstabbing happens naman sa other parts of the globe. kung saan mas maraming pinoy, dun din mas maraming ganyan.

^when mo target pumunta sis? Fix mo visa mo mga atleast 3mos before your targeted date ng alis para d ka gahol sa oras. Yung sakin naging plus point na yung parents ng friend ko nagprovide din ng documents sayimg they're supporting my stay, tapos pareho pa nasa medical field parents nya kaya yun hassle free naman kahit na wala akong US visa ;D

^^noted sis. thanks. i'm looking at 2nd or 3rd quarter of next year. UK muna ako this year then early next sa US then after than CA na para sure shot na ma-approve ako. tempting naman kasi mga experiences nyo e  ;D

samdv, welcome pero if you need more info, ask sis grayce and cathy, mas marami sila experience kesa sa akin. basis ko lang naman are experiences from friends and info over the net.

showermist, sama ka sa EB if ever?  ;) ano location mo?

grayce, super bait naman ng friend mo, to think friend lang yan ha. minsan kasi pag-sa relative mo ikaw nagpatulong sila pa yung tumatanggi. makatapak ng foreign soil akala mo na kung sino. one of my friends was rejected by her tita. she asked for a favor (invitation letter) at ang sagot sa kanya, "kumuha ka na lang ng immigrant visa." ganda d ba?! relative pa yan, e syo friend lang tapos parents nya pa talaga nag-offer to help you right?

when it comes to relationships naman, may ibang parents naman ayaw mag-gf or bf mga anak nila from pinas, why? kasi iniiisip nila gagamitin lang citizenship nila para makapunta yung girl/guy abroad. well, we can't blame din naman kasi it happens talaga.

pa-invite ka na lang ulit sa friend mo, baka sakaling mabigyan ka ulit visa. well-traveled ka naman so i think madali ka lang makakakuha ng tourist visa tapos they will accommodate you naman d ba kasi short-term lang naman stay mo. tapos mag-aral ka na lang ulit then look for after you graduate.

ako, if living abroad ang pag-uusapan, ayaw ko sa Canada, maybe US or UK kasi wala ako relatives dyan, friends madami but nakakahiya naman makitira sa friends d ba? wala ako kakampi if awayin nila ako  ;D

uy like ko yung eb na yan :)

huwag lang mataon na nasa ibang bansa ako. and i'm planning to go back to school this year or next, full time. and i am here sa west coast:)

at mas comfortable na akong maging friends ang ibang lahi. i've lots of filipino friends pa rin pero not close. my bestfriend now is a puti.

backstabbing?! dun.  been to that situation. and it sucks.  really sucks. itinuring mong parang kapatid, sinasaksak ka na pala sa likod.

uy sis sydxoxo totoo yan about having a gf or bf from back home. may friend kame ni hubby na ganyan. ang purpose ng girl is makarating ng canada. tsk tsk  :o which she did lol pag dating, aba aba aba sino siya!?! long story short, buti nga at nautog ang friend namen and found a girl na canada base na and mas ok pa ugali.  she doesn't deserve it ayun umuwi na ng pinas kasi d na din ata na renew visa niya or something. basta napauwi na siya.  :P i cannot blame people for doing such thing, sa hirap ng buhay sa pinas or for some other reason.

sis showermist ako din ibang lahi bessy ko hahaha koreana! lol hirap talaga ang pinoy, i tried having a pinoy friend i met from work, pero diyos ginamit lang ako   >:(

i'm up for EB basta mataon nasa canada ako.

i-set na yan pag-may visa na ko kasi lahat kayo wala na problema  ;D kinda excited, EB abroad, i love it  ;)

showermist, ano course kunin mo? ay naku, my friend said the same thing. mas ok pa daw maging friends ang hindi filipino kaya ang lagi niya kasama puro hindi pinoy. mas matino pa daw kausap.

i know this is kind of a joke...

but a lot of people who really want ro come to canada resort to this are doing this.  what people do not know is that--for ten years you wil be dependent sa spouse na kumuha sa iyo.  kahit pa sabihing 5 years lang kayong nagsama.  you will still be a dependent to that spouse who sponsored you....
may friend(the guy) is suffering from this now.  pinakasalan sya ng isang canadian citizen(pinay pa rin), which , after a few years troubled amrriage na sila. they are separated right now though not legally.  my friend is doing okay workwise. he's employed in one of the big universities here in the west. but the spouse who i think is so mad filed for a divorce. isa sa rason ang 'he used me to come to canada'
wala pang limang taon yung marriage. and yes, the guy is stilll the wife's 'responsibility kahit separated na sila.
my friend is on the losing end :(  but i am praying na sana pagbigyan syang mag-stay dito and be granted with th edicorce na lang.
canadian immigration is really looking onto this. kasi andami ng kaso na ganito.

Just want to make this a little bit clearer. It's true, there's a rule that you are the "responsibility" of the person who sponsored you. But only up to the extent that if you get separated and the person who was sponsored applied for government subsidies, sisingilin ng goverment yung nag-sponsor. Canada is the only country that gives permanent residency to the sponsored spouse right away. Walang waiting period, resident agad pag dating ng Canada. But anyway, I do not understand why you said your friend is the argabyado. The spouse can use any reason to file a divorce, yun lang yung ginamit nya.

^agrabyado is rather harsh.

'he used me to come to canada' is just one of the reasons. pero for it to be one made it more complicated. well, inmy friend's case anyways.

has canadian immigration changed again their rulings?! that i havent updated myself. oh well, really am not interested kung hindi lang sa kaso ng kaibigan ko.
But only up to the extent that if you get separated and the person who was sponsored applied for government subsidies, sisingilin ng goverment yung nag-sponsor.

thakns for telling me this. it might be of use to him. of help to him.

the last time i talked to him--ten years nga daw. lilinawin ko sa kanya ito.

^What is harsh about the term agrabyado? Na-confuse lang ako kaunti.

But anyway, I just saw a documentary about marriages of Canadian and foreigners went sour just last week. Yung mga naloko are asking for the Govt to change the immigration law. There's this one white woman that married an African. After three days nilayasan na nung black guy yung asawa. Dinemanda ng Canadian yung guy for fraud at nahatulan ng removal to Canada.

Ang talo dyan yung naging asawa ng kaibigan mo because if it's really ten years, aba ten years na magbabayad yung asawa nya sa government if ever.

Hi SIS,

I need your help. Sino dito and nag consultancy/agancy firm pa to help sa papers nila. Tapos how many months bago kayo nakakuha ng number at total process niyo to fly sa Canada?

Sa Consultancy firm kasi, it would depend on your eligibility. We got a consultancy firm pero since our professions isn't part of the list of hot jobs, they pretty much can't do anything. We have to wait until we are eligible.

But as of now na hindi pa kami pwede mag-apply, we are working with the consultancy firm in collating na all the needed papers in case may magbago sa rules. Para one of the first kami to submit the application. Remember, there's already a cap on the number of applications they are accepting.

Why did we hire a consultancy firm? Para sigurado. I wouldn't want to regret na kaya na-reject ang application namin is because may form lang na hindi na-fill out, or mali yung connection ng job description mo to the NOC na inaapplyan mo. They're there because they have the experience in getting applications approved. :)
