hello mga sis. hindi ba mahirap mag apply ng visa for Canada? What are the requirements?

i know mas mahigpit sila now compared before but if you want an easy way in, i suggest you apply for a student visa. that's what my friend did and now she's there na, graduate na and working. yung friend niya naman applied for a tourist visa, when she got there she enrolled for a 6-month course but failed, but if she passed that course, pwde na siya kumuha ng student visa and continue her studies.  Since she failed and cheated on her BF kaya bumalik na lang siya ng pinas. pa-expire na din passport niya that time and hindi na siya tinulungan ng BF niya na mag-renew (kasi nga she cheated on him) kaya umuwi na lang siya ng pinas. BF niya tumulong sa kanya para makakuha ng tourist visa but sinayang niya lang yung opportunity na binigay sa kanya. hirap pa naman makapasok ngayon lalo na pagwala ka relatives.

Ingat lang daming scammers!  I did the same thing sis sydxoxo, me and my mom went to canada as a tourist visa, before she left we hired a lawyer to help me with my status I was advised to study while on tourist visa then he processed my student visa then working visa then permanent visa and now im canadian! it was a long process but worth it! pero like what you said iba na nuon sa ngayon. Mas mahirap, I invited my friend as tourist, she's doing the same process I did and she was hired according to her profession. Normally mga licensed professionals na pumupunta sa canada kailangan mag exams ulit kaya hirap makahanap ng work agad. Don't waste the opportunities it might not come by again. Sayang =(

your right mga sis..kung ano man profession nyo, dont expect n ganun mging work nyo sa canada..like sa case ng bestfriend ng hubby q..both him and his gf went to canada last year on permanent residence visa..they are both nurses..they tried to apply for licensure dun..kaso ang decision ng nursing council eh they need to go back to school para macomplete un requirements..sad to say, after 2 yrs pa un nakuha nilang slot s school..kaya ngaun ibang jobs muna work nila dun..

mga sis, what you can suggest now? mas ok mag student visa na lang dun? kysa mgapply ng permanent residence visa? kc nurses din kme ng hubby ko..kaya for sure need din namin mag-aral ulit dun..

IMO, mag-apply ka na lang muna ng student visa. kasi ganon din e, for you to get work in the medical field, mag-aaral ka ulit so ngayon pa lang mag-aral ka na para kaya mo makipag-sabayan sa nurses dun. mahal nga lang schooling dun.

sis caiomhe alam ko pede ka pa din magapply as immigrant kasi nurse kayo ng hubby mo. as long as both of you has a minimum of 2-3 years experience as a nurse pede na apply unless they changed the rules again. when you get to canada you need to take the licensing exam again but you need to find a review centre. Dati 6 months lang ang review pero ngayon longer na ata. saan kayo sa canada plan pumunta? I am not discouraging you but in Toronto hirap makahanap ng work mga nurses na newly graduates. Alam ko open ngayon sa Manitoba. Or try different countries like UK or NZ.

oh i love UK! Haven't been to Canada but i will definitely include this in my list of countries to visit. mga last na siya kasi uunahin ko muna Paris, Rome and NYC!

Ano ba famous tourist spots sa Canada? If wala naman ako masyado makikita baka skip ko na lang.

^sa toronto/ontario area area CN Tower, niagara falls (canadian side is WAYYY MUCHHH BETTER), niagara botanical garden. perfect time to go to niagara area is during springtime, you get to take nice pics at the botanical garden complete with those pretty cherry blossoms

what do u mean canadian side is way much better? you mean the view? have you seen the NY side na?

i'm excited for my NYC trip kasi i really love SATC! Nung nag-shoot SATC for their 2nd movie super lapit lang nila sa sister ko

sydxoxo since you said you loved the old city life and shops  in UK then i suggest to go to Montreal and Quebec! A lot of things to do and places to see! And shopping is great too!! May mga bus tour from toronto papuntang Montreal then Quebec ok siya kasi kasama na sa package ang hotel. I went to Quebec during winter to snowboard I still enjoyed the shopping kahit malamig hahaha We visited the Ice Hotel too. Montreal I liked it during summer! A lot of pubs that has patio's awesome place to chill! Daming street performers! Kelan mo plan pumunta?

Yea first time ko sa UK. I will be visiting my bestfriend! YAY!! then visit ko na din cousin ko! I'll pm you and ask you more things to do and places to shop in UK since you've been there.

you plan to go to NYC ?? niceeeeee!!! if you go to niagara falls like what sis grayce suggested cross the border na din if ever may US visa ka na. Shopping is waaayyy waaayyy wayyyy better! hahaha 15 mins lang siya from Niagara to Buffalo outlet stores. May outlet stores din sa Niagara area I don't like it that much maganda lang dun is yung coach, but like what I said if you cross the boarder andun na lahat!!! Then another 30 mins drive ibang outlet store naman! hehe

sis cupcake_girl 28 i think open din ang vancouver. try mo din. my mother in law went there last year to attend a seminar for nurses she said they need nurses sa vancouver. mas madaling mag apply papuntang manitoba or vancouver. toronto is too crowded. but in the future pag nasa canada ka na relocate na lang kayo sa toronto if you really like to settle in there. FYI mas mahal ang standard of living sa vancouver

Canadian side is much better kasi hindi maganda ang view sa rainbow falls compared to horseshoe falls. also do try to visit the parliament in ottawa. i'm trying to recall the places that i used to go to before medyo pregnesia ako ngayon sorry.

how long did you stay in Canada? Isip ko kasi kung ilang weeks or months ako mag-stay. sympre kelangan ko mag-budget  accommodation is for free pocket money na lang problema ko (for food, shopping, etc.)

share ko lang din: yung isang friend ko pa pala went to Canada holding a student visa (that was right after college), now she's married na to a Canadian. swerte noh?  She's from Edmonton.

i suggest 3weeks to a month ka sa canada depende if you have family or friends to visit or if you only plan to stay in Toronto more than enough na yan. Let me know kung tuloy ka I will tell you all the hidden spots in toronto that you will not find online  me and my gf's loves to walk around town and discover new spots to shop and eat. Me and my hubby naman drives everywhere whenever we get a long weekend. Gala kame in short hehe Sana ma meet kita then I would love to take you around. Babalik ako sa toronto either this June or August if you are there during that time I can take you around for sure. Tinatiming ko kasi sa pag punta ko sa UK.

^^i lived in toronto for a while. lots of changes na rin since the last time i visited. and yes 2 sides ang niagara falls. rainbow falls is nasa US territory, horseshoe falls is nasa canadian side. di hamak na mas okay mag photo-op and mas ok ang view sa rainbow falls and i agree with xoxocathy, mga 3wks-1mo ideally. madami rin mapupuntahan around toronto area it's just that i don't think it's a tourist spot talaga specially if i tell you to go around yonge area or spadina (chinatown). lots of interesting places outside toronto just like in montreal, you will really feel the old city life in that place

so both of you experienced Montreal na? it's in Quebec right? i heard marami french people dun. wala naman bang language barrier? so aside from Montreal and TO, what provinces pa sulit puntahan?

i prefer to get tips kasi from someone who experienced Canada (in general) first hand rather than get my info or prepare my itinerary from the internet. Too much info kasi via internet, malilito lang ako (so bear with me sana).

^lived in TO? didn't like it ba? actually most of my parent's kakilala migrated to Canada kasi daw mas ok mag-start ng family dun.  sayang naman if andun ka na tapos umalis ka pa. dami gusto pumunta Canada nowadays pero ang hirap hirap naman kumuha ng visa kaya sabi ko goodluck sa akin kung mabigyan ako. no plans of going back anytime soon? baka magkita-kita pa tayo ni sis xoxocathy dun  yun nga lang next year pa ko mag-a-apply 

one more thing: is it true if frequent traveler ka mas malaki chance na mabigyan ka ng tourist visa sa Canada? like if you already have a US and British visa, mas may chance din ba? i know kelangan may assets and savings ka so wala naman ako problem with that, ayoko ma-reject if ever. makaka-record ako
