haaayy..ako naman sa Alberta nakaapply! pero naiinip na ako! parang gusto ko na lang magpunta sa ibang country! last year pa application ko.. mga september 2009, pero wala pa rin update till now sa agency namin.. working visa..

1year na si hubby ko sa canada sa June..sabe nya bago nya kame makuha dapat mapromote muna siya..ganun po ba talaga?sa A&W po siya nagwowork

^i don't know sa ibang province ha, pero dito kasi sa quebec, you really have to start from scratch, especially sa profession nya. I believe he needs to take some courses. Or try nya magpaevaluate agad malay mo licensure lang kelangan nya. But in general, dito sa canada, swerte mo na lang kung makakuha ka ng work na in line sa profession mo. Kung di ka mapili, di ka mahihirapan maghanap ng work kasi madami naman opening. Pero wag mo nga lang aasahan na makukuha mo agad yung gusto mong salary.

but if you're thinking about your kid and the type of environment that you want her to be in, your best bet is Canada.

share ko lang yung saken para makita nyo yung timeline. btw, my application is under provincial nominee.. I dont have an agency as consultant.. Kami kami lang ng mga cousins ko, tulungan lang.

My aunt submitted my documents in Manitoba last Feb 2008. Nomination was approved last Oct 2009, I received their letter first week ng Nov and they requested to send the documents to Canadian Embassy in Makati.
Since, maraming docs and I need to renew pa my passport, nakapagpass ako Jan 30, 2010. They start processing my application Feb 4 as per their website. Then yung medical request nila dumating Feb 15, nagpamedical ako Feb 20. As per Timbol clinic, March 12 nila na endorse ang results ng medical ko. Then after 2 months, May 12 I received  na yung passport request thru email. Sana next week, asaken na yung passport with visa ko. Plan ko umalis mid july...

sis matanong ko lang. yung provincial nominee kailangan ng offer of employment bago makapag lodge ng application or kahit wala you can submit basta pasok yung skills mo? thanks.

I think it depends sa province.

Yung saken kase Manitoba provincial nominee under ng General Stream.
May mga category/ stream kase. check mo na lang sa CIC website.

Hi, from what I know, there is an annual salary requirment for you to be able to sponsor. This could be the reason kung bakit nag iintay ng promotion si hubby. The sponsor must be able to prove that he/she can support you and the kids. Hope this helps.

I think kaya kailangang mapromote muna ang hubby mo ay para makapasok siya sa skilled worker category. regarding naman sa question mo kung pwedeng i-sponsor si hubby ng kapatid niya, pwede  siguro though provincial nominee program. kung taga-alberta ang kapatid niya, ito yung Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program-Family Stream. basahin mo na lang yung criteria dito:

halu sis, san destination mo sa canada? at bakit yun napili nyo? we are still choosing and deciding w/c state to go ..through some researchers..pero mukhang calgary ang destination namin wala kami choice kc andun isang friend namin pero hope to have knowledge about other cities..

just got my working visa.

destination ko is Alberta...kaso dami ko pa hindi maiwanan dito sa pinas, like my kids and family...at saka negosyo!.

hindi bale, 6 mos pa naman validity nya. kaya may time pa ako mag-isip. bale June 3 to Dec 5, 2010 , multiple entries.

saka wait ko pa advise ng employer ko kung tutuloy pa ako this season or next season na lang.

We're going to Calgary din. Mostly cause our principal applicant has more job contacts there plus Alberta has a lot of benefits, being 1 of the richest provinces in Canada (most of their oil comes from AB kasi...so immediate health insurance unlike [textspeak!] or ON where you have to wait a few months, lower taxes, less competition for jobs compared to Toronto or even Vancouver). Hindi na masama ang Calgary, especially if you know people there as well.

thanks sis, hope we made the right decision of choosing calgary..pero I just recieved a message from a friend of mine sa calgary..tumindi daw ang recession. They can't even avail pa sa government fund na schooling coz the government uses the budget in financing people who  just lost their job due to recession. But, good for you you have many networks, postive yan most specially in finding a job. sana balitaan mo kami ha pag andun ka na ..wag makalimot... lagi ako nagbabasa sa P2C thread. ikaw din ba?

I will be submitting my docs within this week sa Embassy (Manila), under PNP ng AB. 2008 when my brother submitted the initial requirements tapos ako lang yung inisposoran (i have 2 kids). Now, I want to include my kids sa application ko. Possible ba yun? Kahit magbayad ako na additional fees for my 2 dependents? I'm planning to leave alone and let them follow bago mag expire ang visa or any time na practical para sa kanila.

^ eto lang ang masasabi ko: IT IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK IT IS. Canada is not the answer to all your problems and its far from being the land of milk and honey I am saying this truthfully and with all honesty.

Ganun naman po talaga eh. kahit anong first world country pa. its always "it's not what you think it is".

its always easy to go back to the philippines. but then again, maraming hindi umuuwi despite the hirap. so there are reasons pa din. di ba? and life is more than just money or career. but of course meron namang umuwi na. kanya kanya lang trip.

but yun nga, yung mga desididong umalis. be realistic. hindi naman din masama mag dream. because dreams sometimes shapes us.

Hello everybody! I want to know if there is someone here who is in the same situation as mine.
You see, we (my sisters and I) have been sponsored by our aunt (Canadian citizen).Initially, she was declined to sponsor but she tried again and finally got approved. She sent us the forms to be filled up and submitted to the embassy here in the Philippines. We submitted the documents & requirements Nov 23 2009. Now according to the letter we received as confirmation of the receipt of our application, processing would take approximately 29 months (Other Family Class) and according to this link  http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/relatives-apply-who.asp adult independent children cannot be sponsored. My question is, can I work here in the Philippines while waiting for the sponsorship to be approved? If I work won't it be taken against me (resulting to the denial of my sponsorship)?
I hope someone answers. Thanks!
